Kenny Chesney explains why his Here and Now Tour might not include some of his biggest hits

Kenny Chesney currently is in rehearsals for his 2022 Here and Now Tour, the singer's long-awaited return to the road after the COVID-19 pandemic forced him to cancel his tour plans first in 2020, then again in 2021.

In the meantime, Kenny released a new album, Here and Now, in 2020. As he readies his set, the singer says he's got a massive list of songs to choose from — and some of his older classics might not make the cut.

“It means You and Tequila' and Wild Child' may not be in the stadiums this year,” the singer cautions his fans. “But I think No Shoes Nation is going to respond to this the same way they did Anything but Mine.'”

That's because his fan base has a special connection to Kenny and the authenticity of the songs he releases, the singer goes on to say. “They share that same compass, too. So, when they hear these songs, they recognize a real truth in them, too,” he points out.

Plus, temporarily retiring some older hits will pave the way for Kenny to introduce fans to the live versions of his latest body of work, including his chart-topping single “Knowing You.”

“We've worked up a pretty cool version of Knowing You,'” the singer hints. “As much as this show is built on high energy, rock hard, have fun vibes, there's a feeling to Knowing You' that's going to make every football stadium in America feel like that place you go with your most special memories, wherever that is.”

Jason Aldean isn't counting out another Carrie Underwood duet: “I feel like the songs dictate where you go”

Jason Aldean's still flying high from the success of “I Didn't Love You,” his duet with Carrie Underwood, which raced to the top of the country charts and earned a slew of awards show nominations in the wake of its release.

But when asked if he's hoping to repeat the experiment, Jason says that any future collaborations with Carrie all hinge on finding the right material.

“I really feel like the songs dictate where you go with duet partners and things like that,” Jason explains to ET Online, in a conversation on the rooftop of his Nashville hot spot, Jason Aldean's Kitchen + Rooftop Bar.

Regardless of what the future holds, Jason and Carrie's journey with “If I Didn't Love You” isn't done yet: The song's music video is nominated twice at the upcoming CMT Music Awards show, which will air next Monday.

Blake Shelton + Gwen Stefani are tending their garden: “We're talking about daffodils, tulips, everything”

Nine months in, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are loving married life.

The pop superstar stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week to promote her new GXVE beauty line, and while she was there, she gushed over her home life in Oklahoma and her new hubby.

“The marriage is so fun, and I'm so into it,” she said. “…He's my best friend. We have so much fun.”

While Gwen was on set, Blake was back home in Oklahoma, tilling soil for the couple's new garden. “When we do things, we go big, and we're doing major gardening. We're talking about daffodils, we're talking about tulips, everything…We did wildflower seeds. Now we're doing zinnias,” Gwen describes.

Some couples might hire professionals to prepare the soil for planting, but Blake and Gwen aren't some couples. “I sent him home to figure out how to till all the land and dig a well. So, it's gonna be good,” she continues. “He's working on the well digging today.”

The singer then gets a little deep and reflective, drawing some comparisons between tending to a garden and tending to a growing marital bond.

“I think about all the different seeds that were planted in my life. The seeds of faith. The seeds of, just, these ideas, these wild ideas I had that actually came true. Even the one to fall in love with Blake,” Gwen muses. “…There's just so much relevance between the two things, if you think about it.”

Gwen's episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show aired on Wednesday.

“Hell Yeah”: Little Big Town announces their first new song in two years

Little Big Town is gearing up for new music. This week, the group announced their new song, “Hell Yeah,” which marks their first new music since the Nightfall era.

The song was written by the two men of the group, along with Florida Georgia Line's Tyler Hubbard and songwriter/producer Corey Crowder. They got the title from the excitement they felt in the studio when they wrote it, LBT's Jimi Westbrook says.

“I remember when Corey brought that hook in that day. He sang his idea, and when he turned that phrase at the end of the chorus, we were all like, Hell yeah!” He recounts.

Band mate Philip Sweet adds, “This song is a classic breakup song, flipped upside down. It's pure feel-good vibes.”

“Hell Yeah” arrives on April 11. It follows “Over Drinking,” “The Daughters” and “Wine, Beer, Whiskey,” all of which came off of the group's 2020 Nightfall project.

Fans won't have to wait long to see the band perform their new song live. Little Big Town will bring “Hell Yeah” to the stage at the 2022 CMT Music Awards, which airs the same day the song comes out.

Garth Brooks adds an Arlington, Texas stop to his Stadium Tour

Garth Brooks is headed down to Lonestar State for the next show to be announced on his Stadium Tour.

The singer just shared details about a show he's planning in Arlington. Set to take place in the city's AT&T Stadium, it'll mark the first time he's headlined the venue, as well as the first time in seven years he's been to North Texas for a concert.

The show will take place July 30, sandwiched in between his recently-announced Alabama show and two sold-out makeup dates in Nashville, Tennessee. Those dates are replacing a 2021 Music City show that was canceled due to inclement weather; however, some of the other dates Garth has on the books this year are in cities that he was supposed to hit last year, until pandemic-related shutdowns forced him to halt his tour plans.

Tickets for the singer's Arlington show go on sale April 15 at 10 a.m. CT. Home of the Dallas Cowboys, the stadium can seat a whopping 80,000 fans.

Still, fans hoping to grab tickets should hurry: Garth's Stadium Tour so far has featured some record-breaking sell-outs. When his Fayetteville, Arkansas concert went on sale, fans snapped up 70,000 tickets in just 90 minutes.

Oklahoma Legislature passes bill to make it illegal to perform abortions, except in medical emergencies

On Tuesday, Oklahoma lawmakers passed a bill that would make it illegal to perform an abortion in the state except in medical emergencies, penalizing those who do with up to $100,000 in fines and 10 years in prison.

The state House of Representatives brought the bill to a vote this week, after it was passed last year by the state’s Senate. It now heads to the desk of Governor Kevin Stitt for signing, who has stated his support for anti-abortion legislation. The bill would then take effect this summer, unless blocked by courts.

Several other anti-abortion bills are making its way through Oklahoma’s legislature. Separate legislation introduced this year proposes banning almost all abortions and relying on private citizens to sue any person who “aids or abets” abortions, similar to Texas’ six-week abortion ban. The measure approved on Tuesday states, “a person shall not purposely perform or attempt to perform an abortion except to save the life of a pregnant woman in a medical emergency.”

Oklahoma has become a destination for Texas women seeking abortions, since Texas in September banned abortions for pregnancies of six weeks or less.

Former Trump official and New Hampshire congressional candidate Matt Mowers voted in two states’ primaries in 2016

Matt Mowers — a former Trump administration official, and leading Republican primary candidate running for Congress in New Hampshire — voted twice during the 2016 primary election season, possibly violating federal voting law.

Mowers cast an absentee ballot in New Hampshire’s 2016 presidential primary, voting records show. At the time, Mowers served as the director of former New Jersey governor Chris Christie’s presidential campaign in the pivotal early voting state. Four months later, Mowers cast another ballot in New Jersey’s Republican presidential primary, using his parents’ address to re-register in his home state, according to documents obtained by the Associated Press.

Legal experts say Mowers’ actions could violate a federal law that prohibits “voting more than once” in “any general, special, or primary election”. That includes casting a ballot in separate jurisdictions “for an election to the same candidacy or office”.

Mowers’ campaign declined to make him available for an interview. In a brief statement, campaign spokesperson John Corbett said: “Matt was proud to work for President Trump as the GOP establishment was working to undermine his nomination. Matt moved for work and was able to participate in the primary in support of President Trump and serve as a delegate at a critical time for the Republican Party and country.”

Zac Brown is “really proud” of the songs he wrote with Luke Combs

Zac Brown has nothing but kind remarks for Luke Combs, with whom he co-wrote two songs for Zac Brown Band‘s latest album, ?The Comeback.

Zac shares that Luke traveled to his home in Georgia for a co-writing session that resulted in a pair of songs that made the album: the current radio single, “Out in the Middle,” and “Old Love Song.” It was the first time the two hitmakers spent time together, and Zac has fond memories of the experience.

“Luke is such a great singer and great artist, but he’s also a great writer,” the ZBB frontman praises. “I brought him down to Georgia and we sat in the kitchen while the kids were at school, and we hammered out a couple of songs in a few hours. I’m really proud of those songs. I love them. They’re two of my favorite ones on there.”

Part of what made the experience special was the fact that neither one of them brought any ego to the table, which Zac says is crucial to the songwriting process.

“When you’re writing something to serve the song, you want to have people that are there in service of it. And when there’s ego involved, it’s about your idea winning rather than listening and trusting the people in the group,” Zac explains. “When that right idea pops up where everyone agrees, that’s the positivity that you need when you’re collaborating.”

Last year, ZBB celebrated their 14th #1 hit with “Same Boat.”
