Brett Young takes a trip to paradise and makes it pay, in more ways than one

Brett Young‘s managed to take a vacation to paradise, do some work and raise some money for good causes, all at the same time.

He just wrapped four sold-out performances in Hawaii – two in Honolulu, plus one each in Kahului and Lihue. He says he was drawn there by the locals’ love of his music.

“My wife and I have always been in love with the islands so when we heard that local artists have been covering my songs and that we had a fan base over here, we thought it sounded like the perfect excuse to come spend time and give back to some of our favorite places,” Brett says. “I'm hoping to make this a regular thing. It was very special – for me, and my family.”

While there, the father of two played in a golf competition to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network. He also donated a dollar from every concert ticket sold to HEARTS. In the end, Brett was able to give several thousands of dollars to the local organization that funds music, hula and theater programs.

Meanwhile, Brett’s latest hit, “You Didn’t,” continues its climb in country’s top 15.

Kelsea Ballerini gets intimate on 'CMT Storytellers'

Kelsea Ballerini steps into the spotlight Thursday night as the first woman to headline an episode of CMT Storytellers

Darius Rucker and Brooks & Dunn have previously been featured on the show, which is an extension of the VH1 version where artists tell the intimate stories behind their hits.

“Songwriting is my therapy, my haven, my best friend, and my exhale,” Kelsea reflects. “It's the purest part of what I do, and I am grateful to join a lineup of storytellers I've learned from as I tell mine.”

Look for performances of hits like “Peter Pan,” “homecoming queen?” and “Half of My Hometown,” as well as her latest single, “If You Go Down (I’m Goin’ Down Too).”

Kelsea Ballerini’s episode of CMT Storytellers premieres Thursday at 10 p.m. ET. It’s not the first big event this week for the East Tennessee native: On Valentine’s Day, she released her surprise new EP and short film, Rolling Up the Welcome Mat.

“Still the…” 'Queen': Shania scores a big debut

From the title of her new album, Shania Twain‘s definitely Queen of Me. And you could make a pretty good argument she’s still the queen of the country chart.

This week, her sixth studio record debuts at #2 on Billboard‘s Top Country Albums ranking, second only to Morgan Wallen‘s seemingly unstoppable Dangerous double set. Queen of Me sold 38,000 units in its first week.

Shania fared pretty well on the all-genre Billboard 200 tally too, debuting at #10.

The country/pop superstar’s previous album, Now, came out in the fall of 2017.

How a “Trainwreck” from the “graveyard” forged a friendship between Bailey Zimmerman and Morgan Wallen

Bailey Zimmerman already has his second top 10 hit, after topping the chart with “Fall in Love” back in December.

And the newcomer reveals one of the things that keeps him from getting stuck between a “Rock and a Hard Place” is his friendship with Morgan Wallen

“I met Morg at [the] Country Thunder [festival], and then we just kinda kept in touch since then,” Bailey tells ABC Audio. “And he, like, kinda gives me advice a lot and, like, just kinda helps me out with just questions I have.”

They’re also co-writers on “Trainwreck” from Bailey’s debut, Leave the Light On, though Bailey reveals they did it in an untraditional way.

“Actually, I didn’t even write that song really with him,” Bailey explains. “He wrote that song way back in the day, like 2016, ’17ish, ’18, whatever it was.”

“And I just rewrote it because it was in his ‘graveyard’ and he was like, ‘Yeah, you can rewrite it. I don’t really care what you do with it,'” he recalls.

The friendship certainly doesn’t end there. Bailey’s one of the openers on Morgan’s One Night at a Time World Tour, which kicks off next month in Auckland, New Zealand.

The concertgoer who came home with Carrie Underwood

If Carrie Underwood thinks you’re cute enough, she just might bring you home with her.

That likely only works if you’re a puppy, but that’s exactly what happened at Carrie’s February 8 Denim & Rhinestones Tour stop.

“Meet Charlotte ‘Charlie’ Nilla Fisher.newest member of the family!” Carrie announced on Instagram. “I met her in Charlotte when the lovely people at @pincdogrescue brought some puppies to the venue to make us all smile. We had been looking for the right pup for our family for a while and she seemed just too good to be true!”

So far, Charlie seems to be fitting right in with Carrie’s older dogs, Penny and Zero, and her sons, 7-year-old Isaiah and 4-year-old Jacob.

“She is happy at home playing with her boys,” Carrie adds. “Thank you, Pawsitive Impact NC Dog Rescue for all the incredible work you do and thanks for bringing this sweet girl into our lives!”

On Valentine’s Day, Carrie’s tour with Jimmie Allen continues in Charleston, West Virginia.
