Country Music Cruise shares 2024 lineup including Tracy Lawrence, Clint Black

The 2024 lineup for the ‘Country Music Cruise’ has been announced, including Tracy Lawrence, Shenandoah, Clint Black, Billy Dean, Darryl Worley, Neal McCoy, Joe Nichols — with more artists expected to be announced in the near future.

Said Lawrence: “I had such a great time several years ago when I got to go, and made some really amazing friends that I stayed in touch with. I ended up spending a lot of time at the blackjack table that week and just met some really interesting people. I really made it a point to work the ship, and hang out at different spots and meet a lot of the different folks. My family, we’ve enjoyed taking cruises for many years. We’ve been to a lot of different destinations. We’ve been all over the Caribbean, and we’ve been to Hawaii, on a lot of different boats. But this one is really special. I really just embrace the whole thing. And having that aspect for the fans, and being able to have a good time with all the great types of music, it’s really awesome.”

Shenandoah’s lead singer Marty Raybon added: “Every time you go out of your cabin, there’s somebody there that’s gonna want to get to know you. But the great thing about it is, you’re gonna get a chance and an opportunity to get to know them too. For 36 years, that’s what our career’s been, is making people that just came to a show who was an acquaintance turn into some really good friendships. And through the years, we’ve made a bunch of them. And, it gives our band guys, our crew, and their family, it gives them a wonderful opportunity to vacation.”

Other artists performing on the cruise include Wade Hayes, Linda Davis, Jimmy Fortune, Moe Bandy and more, with additional artists expected to be announced in the near future.

The Country Music Cruise sets sail on January 20 from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, stopping in Grand Turk, Key West and Half Moon Cay, before returning on January 27. Cabins are on sale now; for more information, head to https://countrymusiccruise.com.

Let the Pardi begin: Jon & Summer are ready for Presley's entrance

The countdown is on for the birth of Jon Pardi‘s first child. While we do know that Jon and his wife, Summer, plan to name their little girl Presley Fawn, of course, we don’t know exactly when she’ll arrive.

“In honor of Presley's original due date today,” Summer shared on Friday, “took the last week off from weights and just did cardio, but that hasn't done the trick so let's try this again.” In the accompany video, Summer’s working out with TRX gear, ropes and doing wall squats.

On Sunday, the social media influencer documented what she was packing in her hospital bag. By Monday, she was back to working out: “Keeping these ankles de-puffed,” she quipped

As for dad, he’s been pretty quiet on socials since playing the Opry a week ago. He doesn’t work again until he plays the Houston Rodeo on March 8, which should hopefully give him plenty of time to spend with his new daughter.

Stapleton's anthem is right up there with Whitney's, according to Jimmie Allen

Jimmie Allen‘s a big fan of the national anthem, but maybe not so much of the outcome of Sunday’s game.

The “Down Home” hitmaker shared his Super Bowl thoughts on Monday, revealing he was actually at the game at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, Sunday evening.

“My God!! Chris Stapleton gave me chills,” Jimmie tweeted. “Haven't felt that since Whitney[Houston] sang the Anthem. Being in the stadium hearing him sing it live, I could feel the unity we all desire and hope for living in this country.”

As for the final score, Jimmie’s probably less enthusiastic, though he managed to keep it positive.

“Proud of my @Eagles,” he said. “GREAT season fellas! Let's get back at it next season!!!”

Of course, the Philadelphia Eagles lost to the Kansas City Chiefs 35 to 38.

Is Kelsea Ballerini addressing her divorce with new EP & short film?

Kelsea Ballerini is Rolling up the Welcome Mat for a new short film.

“six songs. one short film. all rolling up at midnight, valentine's day,” she shared on her socials, along with a short clip from the project she wrote and directed herself.

The release date of her latest work, February 14, and the content of the clip seem to hint at the fact it may be inspired by her recent divorce. In August, she announced she and Morgan Evans were splitting up after nearly five years of marriage.

The darkly lit clip shows broken dishes, a closeup on an engagement ring and the flash of paparazzi, along with several shots of a man. “I’m the only one, alone at a table meant for two,” Kelsea sings.

The six tracks included in the film and its accompanying EP are: “Mountain with a View,” “Just Married,” “Penthouse,” “Interlude,” “Blindsided” and “Leave Me Again.”

Kelsea’s most recent album, Subject to Change, came out in September, shortly after she announced her divorce, though the record was finished prior to the announcement. Its second single, “If You Go Down (I’m Goin’ Down Too),” is just starting its climb up the chart.

Katelyn & Kane Brown “Thank God” for their first #1 together

This week, Katelyn Brown achieved her very first country #1, as she and her husband, Kane, ascend to the top of the chart with “Thank God.”

The couple confirmed the feat on their socials, sharing a photo of them embracing as they both make the universal sign for #1.

“I don't even know what to say,” Katelyn reflected in another post. “There are absolutely no words big enough to express the feeling.”

“I truly thought this song would be just a really cute cut on his album and now it's the #1 song,” she reveals. “What is even more special is the fact I get to do this with the love of my life and our baby girls get to watch … My heart is filled with so much joy and gratitude and I can't thank everyone enough for the love & support and for loving this song as much as we do.”

Katelyn and Kane tied the knot in October 2018 and welcomed their daughter Kingsley a year later. Their second daughter, Kodi, arrived in December 2021.

Even though this is her first trip to the top of the chart, Katelyn certainly has plenty of musical cred in her own right, having graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2019.

U.S. shoots downs object over Lake Huron in Michigan

U.S. Air Force F-16 fighter jets shot down an object flying over Lake Huron on Sunday. It is the fourth aerial object to be shot down over North America, and the third object over the United States in nine days, begining on Feb. 4 when a U.S. fighter jet downed a high-altitude surveillance balloon believed to be part of a near-global China spying campaign. China maintains that the balloon shot down on Feb. 4 was an unmanned civilian airship that veered off course into U.S. airspace.

In a statement Sunday evening, Pentagon press secretary Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder confirmed the shoot down, saying the unidentified object was flying at about 20,000 feet over Lake Huron in Michigan when it was felled by a Sidewinder short-range air-to-air missile at 2:42 p.m. EST.

Though only the first object shot down has been publicly identified as a spy balloon deployed by China, Senate majority leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., said Sunday that two other objects downed over Alaska on Friday and Canada’s northwestern Yukon territory on Saturday were likely similar balloons. Ryder said the path and altitude of the object downed Sunday posed a threat to civil aviation and it was shot over Lake Michigan in an effort to avoid debris hitting civilians and structures. Said Ryder: “There are no indications of any civilians hurt or otherwise affected.”

NORAD  had first detected the object Saturday. A “radar anomaly” had been picked it up, with officials stating the object had flown in proximity to sensitive Defense Department sites.  The Pentagon said Sunday: “We did not assess it to be a kinetic military threat to anything on the ground, but assess it was a safety hazard and a threat due to its potential surveillance capabilities. Our team will now work to recover the object in an effort to learn more.”
