Kenny Chesney and Old Dominion team up for the song ‘Beer With My Friends’

Kenny Chesney and Old Dominion have released their new collaboration, “Beer With My Friends.” The release of the song comes shortly after the final two nights of Chesney’s Here And Now Tour, which featured Old Dominion as a special guest.  Chesney had invited members of OD to join him on stage throughout his tour, saying of the group: “There are people you meet and just click. Matt (Ramsey) and Brad (Tursi) have been singing ‘Save It for a Rainy Day’ with me on all these tours, and that’s always – every single night – one of the highlights of the show for me. You can feel the energy, so I started thinking we better catch that while we can.”

‘Beer With My Friends,” co-written by David Lee Murphy, Shy Carter, and Bryan Simpson, shares the feel-good vibes and energy that Chesney and Old Dominion are known for.  Chesney said of the track:  “We’ve all been there. It doesn’t matter if it’s four years or yesterday, there’s nothing like hitting that local bar with your friends. That’s what this whole tour has felt like – every city, every face, every song – as we’ve taken it back out to No Shoes Nation. It’s so much more than a show or a concert, it’s really letting go – and I wanted to capture that in a song. ‘Beer With My Friends’ is all of it.”

5 Seconds of Summer announce global livestream event titled “The Feeling of Falling Upwards”

5 Seconds of Summer have announced that they will be playing a special global livestream entitled “The Feeling of Falling Upwards” from the world-famous Royal Albert Hall in London. The special event, set to take place on Thursday, September 22nd, will celebrate the release of the band’s new album ‘5SOS5’ the following day. It will feature the group performing a set of reimagined versions of songs from their catalogue along with brand-new tracks off the new album, accompanied by an orchestra and choir.

The band shared: “To celebrate the release of our 5th studio album, ‘5SOS5’ we really wanted to do something that could involve all our fans around the world. That’s where the idea was born. For this special show, we will perform a set of reimagined songs from our career plus brand-new tracks off the new album, accompanied by an orchestra and choir. This will be a show like nothing we have ever done before and what’s so special is we actually busked just outside the Royal Albert Hall back in 2013 to a few ‘day one’ fans! To now play a show there, at one of the most iconic venues in the world is a really unique moment and one we felt was the perfect way to commemorate the new album. We can’t wait to share this night with you and are so grateful to still be taking this journey with every single one of you.”

The live performance will be streamed worldwide at 8.30pm London-time (BST) and rebroadcast three times. Following that, the show will be available to watch On Demand for another 3 days. Tickets, which are on sale now via Dreamstage, grant access to the livestream, all rebroadcasts, and to the three-day On Demand viewing period.

Demi Lovato earns eighth Top 10 album on Billboard 200 with ‘HOLY FVCK’

Demi Lovato’s ‘Holy Fvck’, their eighth album, debuted at No 1 on both the Top Rock and Alternative albums chart, and it became their eighth consecutive Top 10 debut on the Billboard 200 chart, coming in at No 7. It also hit the No 4 spot on the Top Album Sales Chart. Holy Fvck also debuted overseas at No 7 on the UK album chart, marking Demi‘s fifth consecutive Top 10 debut in the UK.

Demi shared in a statement: “When making HOLY FVCK, I wanted to explore the dichotomy between ideas and feelings we all face: good & bad, holy & evil and anger & love. The album is a deeply personal journey that begins with pain and anger and concludes with me reclaiming my power. It gave me the freedom to express myself in ways I didn’t know were possible and find joy I’d been missing when making music. It’s cathartic and grounded, yet exhilarating and a hell of a good time. I don’t know where I’ll be in life in a year, or in five or 10 years – but what I do know is that this record is exactly where I am now, and I am damn proud of it. I hope everyone who listens is too.”

Demi is currently in Brazil where they’ll be performing four dates on the Holy Fvck Tour, then moves on to Colombia, Argentina and Chile before heading back to North America to tour across the country.
