Tracy Lawrence expands his “No Alibis Tour” with dates through October

Tracy Lawrence is keeping the momentum going by adding a second leg to his “No Alibis Tour,” a headlining run that celebrates decades of hits and the storytelling that has defined his career. Frank Ray, Chandler Walters, Palmer Anthony, Belle Frantz, and Kenny Whitmire are serving as support on tour.

The new run will add 33 additional shows to Lawrence’s trek, with stops including cities such as San Antonio, Tucson, and Green Bay. Lawrence said in a statement: “I’ve felt such an incredible response from fans showing up for the No Alibis Tour night after night. The energy has been unreal. It only made sense to keep that momentum going, so we’re adding more dates into the fall and taking this thing even further.”

Lawrence originally hit the road with the first leg of his  ‘No Alibis Tour’ back on March 12 at Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, originally scheduled over 30 U.S. dates through August 29 – including a hometown show at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium (marking Lawrence’s third consecutive year headlining the historic venue after back-to-back sellouts.)

Gracie Abrams is embarking on a new era of music with the release of her third studio album, Daughter From Hell, due out July 17. Created alongside longtime collaborator Aaron Dessner, the 16-track project follows the massive success of 2024’s The Secret of Us and signals a fresh creative direction for the singer-songwriter.

Abrams confirmed the news unveiling the album title, artwork, and release date on Instagram, writing: “‘Daughter from Hell’ My third album is out July 17.  Whoa whoa whoa. Freaking out I am so ready for it to be yours ❤ Available to pre-order now”

Abrams is also teasing the project with the release of the album’s first single, “Hit the Wall,” available to stream now. I’m excited for it to belong to everyone else.”

Abrams’ 2023 debut, Good Riddance, helped establish her as one of pop’s fastest-rising artists, leading to a sold-out headline tour and an opening slot on select dates of Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’. Her sophomore album, The Secret of Us, debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and topped charts in several countries, including the UK and Australia. The record produced major hits such as “That’s So True,” which reached the Billboard Hot 100’s top 10 and surpassed 1.5 billion Spotify streams, as well as “us.” featuring Taylor Swift, earning a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

Ella Langley dominates at the 2026 ACM Awards: see the full list of winners

Country music’s biggest names filled the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday night for the 2026 Academy of Country Music Awards, hosted for the first time by Shania Twain. By the end of the ceremony, however, the spotlight firmly belonged to Ella Langley, whose breakout year reached another milestone with a dominant showing at the ACMs.

Langley captured every award tied to her seven nominations, earning multiple honors for her hit “Choosin’ Texas,” including Song of the Year and Single of the Year. She also took home Female Artist of the Year, beating out fellow nominees Kelsea Ballerini, Miranda Lambert, Megan Moroney and Lainey Wilson.

Overcome with emotion after receiving the honor, Langley struggled to begin her speech following a standing ovation. “I’m trying to get to saying something, but I can’t,” she said. The singer reflected on the support she received from fellow artists before the ceremony, recalling how Wilson comforted her backstage and how Lambert arrived wearing her signature pink hat. Langley also thanked her family, faith, and the women who helped guide her career, adding, “Thank you to the women. I would not be standing up here without them.”

While Langley dominated the evening, Megan Moroney entered the night as the most-nominated artist with nine nods, including Entertainer of the Year. Moroney did not attend the event because she served as maid of honor at her best friend’s wedding and ultimately left without a win.

Another major moment came when Cody Johnson secured the coveted Entertainer of the Year award, in addition to Male Artist of the Year. During his acceptance speech, Johnson praised fellow country star Luke Combs for showing resilience during a recent Australian tour stop. “They say that music is the sound of emotion,” Johnson told the audience, emphasizing how fortunate he feels to connect with fans through his songs. Calling music “the greatest drug that’s ever been created on planet Earth,” Johnson also reflected on balancing life as a performer with his roles as a husband, father, and cattle rancher.

Other top winners included Parker McCollum, whose self-titled project earned Album of the Year honors; while the ceremony also featured performances from some of country music’s biggest stars, including Miranda Lambert, Lainey Wilson, Kacey Musgraves, Blake Shelton, Thomas Rhett, Kane Brown, Dan + Shay, Little Big Town and Riley Green.

Sen. Cassidy loses Louisiana GOP primary; Letlow, Fleming advance to runoff

Louisiana Republican Sen. Bill Cassidy was defeated in Saturday’s GOP primary, falling short of a runoff after years of backlash from supporters of President Trump over Cassidy’s vote to convict Trump following the January 6 Capitol attack.  Cassidy finished behind U.S. Rep. Julia Letlow and Louisiana State Treasurer John Fleming, who will now face each other in a June 27 runoff that is expected to decide the state’s next senator in heavily Republican Louisiana.

The result highlighted Trump’s continued dominance within the Republican Party as he continues targeting Republicans viewed as disloyal. Cassidy was one of seven GOP senators who voted to convict Trump during his 2021 impeachment trial tied to the Capitol riot. While several Republicans who broke with Trump later stepped away from reelection campaigns, Cassidy sought a third term and significantly outspent his opponents.

The President heavily criticized Cassidy throughout the race and renewed his attacks on election day, calling him “a disloyal disaster” and “a terrible guy” on social media. After the loss, Cassidy appeared to answer indirectly, telling supporters, “Insults only bother me if they come from somebody of character and integrity.” He also defended his stance by saying, “Our country is not about one individual. It is about the welfare of all Americans, and it is about the Constitution.”

Letlow, elected to Congress in 2021 after winning a special election following the death of her husband from COVID-19 complications, built much of her campaign around loyalty to Trump and conservative voters. Fleming, a former congressman and Trump administration official, also campaigned as a strong MAGA conservative.

Trump praised Letlow, posting on Truth Social: “Congratulations to Congresswoman Julia Letlow on a fantastic race, beating an Incumbent Senator by Record Setting Numbers. This is the first time in History that a sitting Senator has lost by such large numbers in a Primary, unable to even go forward. Julia Letlow is a fantastic person and, after taking care of some additional business, will make a brilliant Senator for the Great People of Louisiana, a State that I love, helped make prosperous with my Energy Policies and everything else, and won six times in a row, including Primaries. Julia Letlow is a spectacular person, and will never let you down!”

Letlow embraced Trump’s endorsement during her victory speech, thanking “the best president this country has ever had, President Donald Trump.” She later argued Cassidy’s impeachment vote showed he had “turned his back on Louisiana voters.” Trump celebrated the outcome online, writing, “That’s what you get by voting to impeach an innocent man.”

The Louisiana contest is the latest example of Trump-backed efforts to unseat Republicans who opposed him. The primary also unfolded amid legal disputes over Louisiana election maps after a recent Supreme Court decision affecting parts of the Voting Rights Act. While the Senate race proceeded as scheduled, state officials delayed U.S. House primaries to redraw congressional districts, prompting legal challenges from civil rights groups.

Drake releases long-awaited ‘ICEMAN” and drops two additional surprise albums

Drake made a dramatic comeback by releasing not just his long-awaited album Iceman, but two additional surprise projectsMaid of Honour and Habibti — giving fans a staggering 43 new songs in one night.

The rapper had teased Iceman for months, but kept the other two albums under wraps until the closing moments of his latest livestream. During the broadcast, Drake revealed three hard drives before messages on-screen unveiled the surprise titles. All three records arrived simultaneously at midnight, marking his first major solo releases since 2023’s For All the Dogs and his widely-publicized feud with Kendrick Lamar.

Iceman leads the trilogy with 18 tracks, including “What Did I Miss?” and appearances from 21 Savage, Future and rising artist Molly Santana. The album also features production from longtime collaborator Noah “40” Shebib.

Maid of Honour contains 14 songs and collaborations with Sexyy Red, Popcaan, Central Cee and others; while Habibti delivers 11 tracks featuring PARTYNEXTDOOR, Loe Shimmy and another appearance from Sexyy Red. Drake also premiered visual companions for several songs, including “Plot Twist,” “National Treasures” and “Burning Bridges,” with cameo appearances from figures such as Shane Gillis and DJ Akademiks.

The albums also arrive after Drake’s public clash with Kendrick Lamar, whose diss track “Not Like Us” became a cultural phenomenon and won multiple Grammy Awards. Several tracks across the new releases appear to address the aftermath of that rivalry and Drake’s mindset during the fallout.

The heavily-promoted rollout for Iceman became one of Drake’s most elaborate campaigns yet. Earlier this year, a giant ice installation appeared in downtown Toronto before being removed by city officials over safety concerns. Before it disappeared, a streamer reportedly discovered an “Iceman” folder hidden inside that revealed the May 15 release date.
