Beyoncé Drops New Song “Black Parade”

Beyoncé dropped her new song called “Black Parade” on Juneteenth (June 19), a day commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. Along with the track, Beyoncé released an online directory that spotlights Black-owned artists and other businesses through her BeyGOOD charitable foundation. Proceeds from the song benefit BeyGOOD’s Black Business Impact Fund.

“Black Parade” is Beyoncé’s latest musical offering, following the remix of Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage” in April. The remix was one of a few COVID-19 relief efforts from the singer, which also included $6 million in funds for community-based organizations and a testing campaign in Houston.

Camila Cabello To Remake Beyonce’s ‘Single Ladies’ For New ‘Cinderella’ Movie

23-year-old Camila Cabello is starring in a new Cinderella live-action film, and it’s she will cover Beyonce‘s “Single Ladies” for the movie.

Reports are saying that Camila and Missy Elliott, who plays the Town Crier in the flick, will perform the song together. 

Earlier this year, Camila posted a picture on Instagram behind the scenes working on the Cinderella film. The upcoming new movie is set to take on a modern feminist twist, and also stars Idina Menzel, Billy Porter, Nicholas Galitzine, Luke Latchman, Tallulah Greive, and Fra Fee.

Cinderella was in production in London earlier this year until the pandemic hit and caused filming to shut down. The movie was then pushed back from its original release date.

Alicia Keys And John Legend To Celebrate Juneteenth With #Verzuz Special

John Legend and Alicia Keys will battle it out on Instagram Live in a special Juneteenth celebration from the musical battle series Verzuz The Instagram Live series will present a special musical duel between John Legend and Alicia Keys as a Juneteenth celebration today, Friday, June 19.

Legend’s seventh studio album, Bigger Love, is also set to drop today. Keys’ seventh album, Alicia, had been slated for release earlier this year, before being delayed indefinitely due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

WatchnLegend and Keys face off in a “battle of the pianos” tonight, June 19 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on Instagram Live.

Cardi B Announces New Music Is “Coming Soon”

After rumors that a contract dispute was holding up the release of her sophomore studio album, Cardi B announced that she will dropping new music soon.

When somebody asked about new tunes on Twitter, Cardi simply replied, “I’m coming.” When another fan asked for a more specific answer about a release date, Cardi said, “It’s comin .Its going to hit too.”

In past interviews, Cardi said that her new album would be releasing in 2020. However, her project has been delayed because of the coronavirus and the recent protests. It’s been three years since the release of her hit song, “Bodak Yellow.”

Katy Perry And The Black Eyed Peas Set To Headline Rock The Vote’s Virtual Concert

Katy Perry will co-headline Rock The Vote’s ‘Democracy Summer 2020’ virtual concert.  Perry joins Black Eyed Peas as the headliners for the special event on June 18, which aims to encourage US citizens to register to vote. Organizers Rock the Vote, Voto Latino Foundation, When We All Vote and March For Our Lives have set a goal of 200,000 new voters this summer.

Actress Rosario Dawson and ‘Dear White People’ star Logan Browning will co-host. The live-stream will also feature appearances and performances from the likes of Chuck D, Big Freedia, Lucy Hale, Ne-Yo, Saweetie, Leslie Grace, Skylar Astin, Dove Cameron and Sofia Carson.

Perry calls on the nation to use their ballot to help in the ”fight for justice and equality” for the black community after the death of unarmed black man George Floyd last month, which led to global protests.  Says Katy: ”I’m excited to be a part of this kick-off to ‘Democracy Summer 2020’ with so many amazing talents, activists and speakers. The young people of America are speaking loud and clear on the streets and online, and come November, it will be more important than ever to fight for justice and equality, and against systemic racism, with our ballots.”

Lady Gaga And Blackpink Debut ‘Sour Candy’ Lyric Video

Lady Gaga has released the lyric video for her collaboration with Blackpink titled “Sour Candy.”  

The song appears on Gaga’s Chromatica album, which gave the singer her sixth No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart with 274,000 equivalent units in the U.S. for the week ending June 4.

Gwen Stefani Will Return To ‘The Voice’ For Upcoming Season 19

After taking a season off from coaching duties, Gwen Stefani is officially set to return as a coach on The Voice for the show’s upcoming Season 19.  Stefani will join Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, and her boyfriend Blake Shelton when the singing competition returns. She will take over the spot from Nick Jonas, who recently joined the show as a coach in Season 18 in Stefani’s absence.

Stefani last appeared on The Voice for Season 17, having also appeared as a coach on Seasons 7, 9 and 12. In addition to her coaching duties, Stefani has been a mentor on the program for Seasons 8 and 10.  Stefani has frequently made appearances on the NBC competition over the past several seasons as she has been dating longtime coach Shelton for years. On The Voice‘s Season 18 finale, she performed a duet of “Nobody But You” alongside her boyfriend from Shelton’s Oklahoma ranch, where the couple have been quarantining together.

Lil Baby’s “My Turn” Returns To No. 1 Spot On Billboard 200 Charts

Lil Baby’s My Turn is making its return to the Billboard 200. The album debuted at No. 1 back in March, spending 13 weeks in the top six; and now it’s climbed back to the No. 1 spot once again for the week ending on June 13. It is the longest gap for an album to make its return to No. 1, with the last record being held by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s A Star Is Born soundtrack taking a 17-week hiatus.

Lady Gaga’s album Chromatica debuted at No. 1 last week, but has slipped to the No. 2 spot.

Halsey Leaks Bonus Track ‘Wipe Your Tears’ In Honor Of Pride Month

Halsey has released an alternate version of a deep-cut from her latest album ‘Manic’ on social media, which you can check out via her Twitter at the link: here.

‘Wipe Your Tears’ is featured as an exclusive bonus track on the Japanese edition of the album, which dropped earlier this year. “prolly gon get in trouble for this but, happy pride !” Halsey wrote on Twitter.  She added, “here’s the full OG version of wipe your tears. my favorite wlw song of mine that ended up on a special release of Manic…if it gets taken down it ain’t my fault.”

‘Manic’ dropped in January of this year, featuring the hit singles “Without Me,” “Graveyard” and “You Should Be Sad.”

Coachella And Stagecoach Festivals Announce Rescheduled 2021 Dates

After it was announced that the Coachella and Stagecoach festivals’ October dates were canceled by county health officials, promoter Goldenvoice announced new dates for both festivals in 2021.

Coachella is being planned for April 9-11 and April 16-18, 2021, Stagecoach is scheduled for April 23-25, 2021.

Coachella’s 2020 edition was previously scheduled to take place April 10-12 and April 17-19 with headliners Travis Scott, Frank Ocean and Rage Against the Machine.

“A year without Coachella and Stagecoach is hard for us to comprehend, but we have every intention of returning in 2021,” Goldenvoice said in a statement. “We look forward to sharing our new lineups and more information. We can’t wait to be together in the desert again when it is safe.”

All 2020 passes will be honored in 2021 and pass holders will receive emails with instructions on how to proceed for new tickets or refunds.
