A freight train derailed in Arizona on Wednesday causing a massive fire and the collapse of a bridge more than 100 years old.
Tim McMahan, a Union Pacific Railroad spokesman, said the train derailed at about 6:15 a.m. while crossing the bridge as eight to 10 cars caught fire and the bridge’s south side collapsed. The train crew was uninjured but one person was treated for smoke inhalation and no deaths have been reported, Tempe Mayor Corey Woods and police Chief Sylvia Moir said.
More than 90 firefighters were sent to the scene along with hazardous materials crews as lumber being carried on the line caught fire in the blaze. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the case.
Randy Travis has released a new single, “Fool’s Love Affair,” 35 years after the release of his debut single, “On the Other Hand.”
Randy recorded the song, which was penned by Charlie Monk, Milton Brown and Keith Stegall, in the early 1980s. Monk found the demo while cleaning his office in 2019 and recorded new tracks around it for the new version.

Reba McEntire is celebrating the 30th anniversary of her 1990 album, Rumor Has It, by re-releasing the project on Sept. 11.
Added to the vinyl version of the re-released album will be a bonus track of an acoustic version of “Fancy” that was recorded live at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium. The digital and CD versions of the re-released album will featured the aforementioned acoustic version of “Fancy,” as well as a new dance remix of “Fancy.”
Rumor Has It featured four Top 10 hits, including “You Lie,” “Rumor Has It,” “Fancy” and “Fallin’ Out of Love.”
The annual GLAAD Media Awards will be held virtually for the first time tonight, July 30,. with a star-studded lineup including Demi Lovato, Lil Nas X, Dolly Parton, Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union, Olivia Wilde, and many more.
The 31st annual event will be live-streamed on GLAAD’s YouTubeandFacebookpages tonight, Thursday, July 30 at 8:00 p.m. ET, followed by a broadcast on Logo on Aug. 3. Earlier this year, GLAAD announced that the GLAAD Media Awards ceremonies that were originally planned for New York on March 19 and Los Angeles on April 16 would no longer take place due to the coronavirus pandemic.
UMG NashvilleOver the past couple of years, Lauren Alaina has cemented her role as one of country music’s most in-demand duet partners, appearing as a guest artist on songs by the likes of Kane Brown, Dustin Lynch and Chris Young.
Now that Lauren’s got plans to put out a new EP in September, it’s her turn to call in some outside vocal help.
She’s tapped her friend and former duet partner Jon Pardi to cut the title track of her next project, Getting Over Him. Lauren previously collaborated with Jon on “Don’t Blame it On Whiskey,” off his most recent album.
“I’ve done duets with other people for their projects, but I have never done any for my own,” the singer says. “I’ve got a duet with Pardi on his album, and then he loved this one [‘Getting Over Him.’] His energy is so amazing. I can’t believe I have a rebound song — but I do!”
Lauren’s EP also features a duet with Lukas Graham called “What Do You Think Of?”
The six-song project is duet out in full on September 4, but Lauren’s sharing one of its tracks, “Run,” on Friday.

Maren recently shared a picture of the custom set of mom-and-baby denim jackets that Miranda had made for her and her infant son, Hayes. Both jackets come outfitted with plenty of fringe, along with the names of both mom and baby embroidered across the backs.
On Twitter, Maren posted a snapshot of baby Hayes modeling his new denim, and also shouted out her fellow country star’s newest number-one single, “Bluebird.”
“Thank you for this amazing gift,” she wrote. “Love you so much and am so proud of you for having the number 1 this week.”
When “Bluebird” hit the top of the charts earlier this week, it marked the first time Miranda had made it to the number-one spot in six years. Her last number-one was 2014’s “Somethin’ Bad,” which was a duet with Carrie Underwood.
Maren is no stranger to the number-one spot, either. In March, she scored a chart-topping hit with her single, “The Bones.”

“You can’t fake it if you want to make it,” the singer reflects in a new interview with HITS Daily Double. “Some of that life you don’t wanna put out there, but it’s still a part of it.”
That’s why he didn’t try to keep it a secret when he got arrested for driving under the influence last November in Nashville.
“It happened,” the singer admits. “People in my camp were talking about suppressing it, but why would I be afraid to talk about it? If it happens, it’s true. I was raised and taught to respect [alcohol.] Moderation is important.”
Alcohol also plays a central role in country songwriting, but Sam says he tries to stay away from the tropes of drinking and partying hard in his own songs, in part because they don’t typically feel that true to his life.
“I’ve never wanted to glorify that,” he adds. “It’s a cheap trick in country music, and I’ve always wanted to avoid that. I don’t like using [drinking] as a party song; for me, that wouldn’t be honest. I’ve never been the guy who shotguns a beer. I know people who partake that way, and I wouldn’t want to shake my finger or look down on them.”
As for his 2019 DUI, Sam admits that that event was the result of poor decision-making.
“I should’ve been more conscious, but I wasn’t. So I take responsibility,” he says.

The video, which the country singer edited himself, features more than 225 people, including fans from 39 countries across the globe and some of Brad’s own famous friends, both from the country genre and beyond. Former pro football quarterback Peyton Manning and Major League Baseball pitcher Clayton Kershaw also pop up during the clip, as do ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos and his wife, Ali Wentworth.
Brad recently told ABC’s Good Morning America that he feels “No I in Beer” has become a lighthearted connector during a difficult time.
“It’s been fun to watch this take on this meaning of sort of defiance,” he says of the track. “It’s sort of a way, like, the world is screwed up and things are strange, but we can all have a beer together some way.”
Since the song’s initial release in April, the country star said it’s “taken on such a life of its own,” leading to everything from crashed Zoom drinking parties to a viral TikTok challenge he’s even attempted.
“The way that people have utilized this — they’ve been doing these ‘beersketball’ videos on TikTok and I’ve loved it,” he said.

“I resisted making and releasing a Christmas album for many years, even though I’m a big Christmas person and I love the music of the season,” Terri notes. “It’s been done by the best in so many amazing ways, and I wanted to wait until I felt I could make it special, be excited about it and do it justice in my own way.”
But thanks in part to her impressive roster of guests, Terri was finally able to bring her vision for a Christmas album to life.
“Having the Time Jumpers to collaborate with and the wonderful guest artists featured — it did just that. I am eager for everyone to hear the record that was almost two years in the making but took 25 years to get around to,” she says.
