Tim McGraw and Tyler Hubbard are “Undivided” in uplifting song

Big Machine Label Group Tim McGraw and Tyler Hubbard pledge unity and faith in their upcoming song, “Undivided.”

Over the past few days, Tim has been teasing on Instagram that he and the Florida Georgia Linemember have a collaboration in the works, with their new song, “Undivided,” set for release on January 13.

Described in a statement as an “upbeat and heartfelt collaboration,” the track was born out of Tyler’s experience quarantining on his tour bus after testing positive for COVID-19, leading to two weeks of isolation and reflection.

Co-written by Tyler and Chris Loocke, “Undivided’s” lyrics cut through divisiveness to call for unity, professing that the power to bring about change lies in our hands.

“I think it’s time to come together/You and I can make a change/Maybe we can make a difference/Make the world a better place,” the pair sing.

“I loved the positivity of this song and that it called me to check myself and to remember that love is bigger. It’s why I knew this song had to be my next single with Tyler as soon as he sent it to me,” Tim says.

“I knew immediately when I finished it, I had to text it to Tim. He has a way of communicating with the world that is unique in music,” Tyler adds. “For him to want to perform with me was an amazing feeling. The song is about coming together, and that’s exactly what we did.”

“Undivided” will be featured on the deluxe edition of Tim’s Here on Earth album, scheduled for release in the spring.

Iran says it plans to boost uranium enrichment

Iran announced on Monday it would boost uranium enrichment, moving it to a target goal of 20%, well above the 3.67% cap placed under the multinational agreement during the Obama administration. President Donald Trump walked away from the agreement in 2018.

According to Iranian media outlet IRNA, Iranian government spokesman Ali Rabiei said that Iran has started the pre-processing stage of gas injection at its Fordow nuclear site, adding that the first UF6 enriched uranium would be produced later in the day.

Iran agreed to the uranium enrichment limits in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action with the United States, Russia, China, France, Russia, Britain, and Germany. While the other countries have remained part of the deal, Iran has chipped away at its restrictions since the Trump administration’s departure. Before the announcement, Iran was enriching its uranium stockpile up to about 4.5%, just above the agreement’s 3.67% cap. Even at 20%, it is well below 90% for it to be considered weapons-grade. Iran has long denied its nuclear program was meant to make weapons.

Biden, Trump visit Georgia on last day before Senate runoff vote

On the final day of campaigning for two U.S. Senate runoffs in Georgia. President-elect Joe Biden appeared in Atlanta to support Democratic candidates for the U.S. Senate, Jon Ossoff and David Warnock. Biden said electing Democrats would guarantee that the Senate under a new Democratic majority would revisit the $2,000 stimulus payments opposed by Senate Republicans.

President Trump and Vice President Mike Pence also visited the state during the day as control of the Senate hung in the balance. The two arrived after controversy caused by release of a recording of a phone call made by Trump to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, a Republican, asking him to “find” the votes necessary to overturn Joe Biden’s victory in the state.

Earlier Monday, a Georgia election official said Trump was spreading “misinformation and disinformation” saying the president’s claims were, “all easily, provably false.” President-elect Biden was certified as the winner of the election in Georgia after a recount and audit. Biden won the state’s 16 electoral votes, with 306 votes overall, surpassing the 270 needed to win. Trump garnered 232.

Carly Pearce shares all the things an ex “Didn't Do” in new song

ABCCarly Pearce ushered in 2021 with an acoustic round at the Listening Room Cafe in Nashville over the weekend, where she debuted a heartbreaker of a new song, “Didn’t Do.”

Co-written by Carly, Ashley Gorley and Emily Shackelton, the gentle piano ballad finds the singer laying out all the ways her former lover didn’t support her in the ways she needed.

“I ain’t gonna go and tell you what he did, but I’ll tell you what he didn’t do,” Carly sings, prefacing a list of let-downs that include not being treated right by a man who wasn’t always true to his word.

“The devil’s in the details/I won’t tell the hell that he put me through/All I know is in the end it wasn’t what he did, no /It was what he didn’t do,” Carly sang, eliciting cheers from the crowd.

“Didn’t Do” is one of a handful of new songs Carly’s shared since her divorce from Michael Ray in June. Her current single, “Next Girl,” follows the chart-topping hit “I Hope You’re Happy Now,” featuring Lee Brice.

Brad Paisley gifts guitar to musician affected by Nashville bombing

Andrew Chin/Getty ImagesBrad Paisley is helping a fellow musician in need who was affected by the bombing on Christmas morning in downtown Nashville.

Buck McCoy, a musician and performer, lived in an apartment building on 2nd Avenue North where the bombing took place. According to a GoFundMe page set up in his honor, Buck lost several of his belongings in the blast, including some of his instruments and was separated from his cat, Molly

When Brad heard about Buck’s situation, he felt compelled to pay it forward and reached out to the performer via Instagram, gifting him a new guitar.

“I went to my Instagram and there was a message, and I was like, ‘this must be some kind of prank.’ You know, one of my funny buddies saying ‘let’s cheer Buck up,'” Buck explained to Nashville’s WKRN TV. “No, it was actually him, and he wanted to talk to me, and he said ‘I want to hook you up with a guitar so you can get back to work and make a living.’”

The two also had a 30-minute phone call in which they discussed music and family.

“I can’t just sit around and think about it over and over and the memory comes back,” Buck reflects. “I need to create new memories; I need to create fun experiences, and then water those experiences and let those old weeds die in the back.”

Buck’s GoFundMe page has currently raised more than $38,000 of its $50,000 goal.  And more good news: he was recently reunited with Molly.
