Kane Brown says daughter Kingsley has “become my best friend”

For Kane Brown, 18-month-old Kingsley is as much his friend as she is his daughter.

During an appearance on Lindsay Czarniak‘s podcast The Artist and The AthleteKane reveals that it took time for him to form a bond with his infant daughter, because she was at first more attached to his wife, Katelyn

“It hurt for the longest because…at the very beginning she just wanted her mom all the time. And then just recently, she started saying ‘dada’ with this whisper, which I love,” Kane says.

Kingsley also enjoys playing outside and has made a habit out of saying “dada” every time he puts her down, raising her arms up “so I can’t say no,” Kane confesses.

“She’s become my best friend and I’m just ready for her to get old enough so I can get her in the league,” he jokes with fellow podcast guest, Miami Heat player Jimmy Butler. “That’s my little girl. She’s my best friend.”

Kane and Katelyn welcomed Kingsley in October 2019. She appears in his videos for “Worldwide Beautiful” and “Worship You.”

Tyler Hubbard's wife Hayley says “laughter” got them through 2020's challenges

Tyler Hubbard‘s wife Hayley Hubbard is sharing how the couple got through the darker moments of 2020.

During an appearance on the Being Bumo podcast, Hayley admits that the couple was taken by surprise when she became pregnant with their third child, Atlas Roy, in January 2020, having given birth to son Lucca five months prior.

“We were at the point where we thought we would wait to have our third and just have a little time for us and getting used to having two kids, because…it was an adjustment for us,” she explains, adding that she was scheduled to get her breast implants removed the day she found out about the pregnancy.

“I was excited to get my life back and my body back…When you give birth and you’re a new mom, there’s this new normal you have to get used to and it’s like ‘how do I find myself again?’ So I was really looking forward to that and it was just like a bomb was dropped. So that was a lot emotionally,” she continues.

On top of the unplanned pregnancy, Tyler experienced a dirt bike accident three weeks before his wife gave birth in September that left him with a ruptured Achilles tendon and broken ankle. Then in November, the singer was diagnosed with COVID-19 and had to quarantine on his tour bus in front of their home.

In spite of the trials, Hayley says the couple managed to find the humor in it all. “It was just one thing after the next. But everyone I feel like had one of those years where it was just so wild where you almost had to laugh,” she says. “So I feel like laughter really got us through all of that.”

Miranda Lambert breaks down crying at first live concert: “I missed y'all so much”

Miranda Lambert has been patiently waiting until she could safely perform live before an audience and, over the weekend, that day finally came.

The “Bluebird” singer shared an emotional video of her making that long-awaited return to the stage, where the sound of a cheering audience brought tears to her eyes.

Miranda, who sang before a crowd at Billy Bob's Texas in Fort Worth, Texas, on Friday, said the performance was her “first show back in over a year.”  During the opening notes of “The House That Built Me,” the 37-year-old country star starts crying, which prompts the audience to rise to their feet and cheer even harder.

Touched by the display, paired with a supportive hug from one of her crew members, the country singer expressed, “I missed yall [sic] so much.”

Miranda attempts to sing again and gets through a few more lines before she finds herself fighting back tears once more.

Thankfully, the Grammy winner had the audience helping her out and they took over singing duties while she pulled herself together.

“First show back. Love y'all,” she captioned the video, signing off with a red heart emoji.

The show was among the three sold-out performances she had at the venue over the weekend.  Miranda has yet to lay out her complete list of summer touring plans.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott lifted COVID-19 protections in March, which included doing away with mask mandates and capacity limits at venues.

United States to release millions of doses of AstraZeneca vaccine to other countries

On Monday, officials said that the United States will release millions of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine doses to other countries. White House senior adviser for COVID-19 response, Andy Slavitt, made the announcement on Twitter saying: “U.S. to release 60 million AstraZeneca doses to other countries as they become available.”

The announcement comes amid mounting pressure from lawmakers and experts since the United States has millions of doses of AstraZeneca vaccine that is authorized in other countries, such as India, where the COVID-19 crisis is worsening. The vaccine is not yet authorized for use in the United States. Slavitt responded to some of the criticism, tweeting: “To everyone who understandably says: ‘about time’ or ‘what were they waiting for,’ at this time there are still very few available. No real time has been lost.”

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said at a news conference Monday the AstraZeneca doses cannot be released immediately since they have to undergo Food and Drug Administration safety reviews, but she expects “in the coming weeks,” about 10 million doses will be available upon the FDA clearance. Psaki added that fifty million additional doses are in “various stages of production” and may be available in May and June.
