Miley Cyrus teases ‘Without You’ remix with The Kid Laroi

Miley Cyrus teased the “Without You” remix with The Kid Laroi on social media, sharing a 12-second video on Twitter saying:  “Snuck into his car while he wasn’t looking and sent him this video.”  Cyrus captioned the clip “…where are we going @thekidlaroi? BTW I think they want us to drop the remix.”

The video was the second sneak peek at Miley’s upcoming remix of the 17-year-old LAROI’s 2020 single “Without You,” coming after a 20-second clip that blended the original song over footage of Miley making faces as headlines about her dating life scrolled in the background.

“Without You” was featured on the deluxe SAVAGE version of LAROI’s F*ck Love July 2020 mixtape debut. The duo have been teasing their remix for months, with The Kid posting a studio pic with Miley last month.

Maren Morris won't drop cryptic music clues on Twitter: “Y'all know I don't have the bandwidth for Easter eggs”

Maren Morris recently appeared as a guest vocalist on a song off Taylor Swift's re-released Fearless album. But while Taylor is famous for dropping subtle Easter eggs into her social media posts, Maren is warning fans not to expect the same from her.

Case in point: Maren recently shared a series of vacation snaps on Twitter, including pictures of herself relaxing on a tropical beach with a drink and a good book.

The caption includes a reference to the classic TV show The Office, but it was the shell emojis she tagged onto the end of her caption that caught fans' attention, causing some to wonder if the shell was a cryptic hint about Maren's album.

“I JUST LIKE SHELLS,” Maren replied, along with a laughing emoji. “Y'all know I don't have the bandwidth for Easter eggs.”

However, she did offer fans a brief update on her upcoming third project. “But the album is 1/2 way! See? Shooting ya straight,” the singer added.

She also responded in a straight-forward way when another Twitter user asked her if there would be any duets on the album. “Only the people I sleep with,” Maren deadpanned in response.

Of course, that seems like a nod to Maren's fellow artist husband Ryan Hurd, whose current single is a duet with Maren called “Chasing After You.” Whether Maren plans to include the song on her album as well — or whether the couple have another duet in store — is not yet clear.

Blake Shelton teases something new this Friday, as 'Body Language''s release day approaches

Blake Shelton is gearing up to share something with his fans. On Thursday, the singer posted a short video to social media, showing a close-up shot of the pages of a Bible. A gentle, simple acoustic guitar riff accompanies the cozy visual, which features what appears to be a flickering fire in the background.

“Tomorrow…” he cryptically captioned his post.

While Blake didn't share any more about what's to come, fans had some ideas: One of the unreleased tracks on his upcoming Body Language album is called “Bible Verses,” which seems to fit with the visual themes focused on faith.

It's been a busy few days for Blake, who recently performed full-band sets at both his Ole Red locations in Orlando and Nashville, as well as hitting the ACM Awards stage for a medley of “Austin,” his debut single from 2001, and his latest single, “Minimum Wage.”

“Minimum Wage” comes off the track list of Body Language, as does Blake's hit duet with his pop star fiancée, Gwen Stefani, “Happy Anywhere.” The full project arrives on May 21.

Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood among the superstars to 'Stay Fabulous' in a glitzy new Las Vegas tease

Are Carrie Underwood and Luke Bryan planning Las Vegas residencies? It seems like a strong possibility, given that the two stars are featured in a new, high-tech commercial for Resorts World Las Vegas entitled Stay Fabulous.

The two country A-Listers appear in the ad alongside pop superstars Celine Dion and Katy Perry, as well as DJs Tiësto and Zedd. Of course, Celine's history with Vegas residencies is long and legendary, and Katy has already confirmed an upcoming Resorts World deal, but residencies would be a first for Carrie and Luke.

They're certainly not the first country stars to head to Sin City, though: Shania Twain, Lady A and Keith Urban are just a few of the genre's stars who've signed on to take their shows to Vegas.

The dazzling new Stay Fabulous campaign, which was filmed on a live virtual set, is aimed at building anticipation for Resorts World Las Vegas ahead of its June 24 grand opening. The extravagant, $4.3 billion luxury destination boasts 3,500 rooms.

Dates for some of the “upcoming live performances” teased in the ad will be revealed in the weeks ahead.

Police release footage, 911 calls in shooting of 16-year-old girl in Ohio

Authorities in Columbus, Ohio have released body camera footage and 911 calls from an incident in which a police officer fatally shot a teenage girl while responding to a disturbance call at a residence. Columbus officer Nicholas Reardon shot and killed 16-year-old Ma’Khia Bryant after she was seen attacking another female with a knife on Tuesday afternoon.

During a news conference, interim police Chief Michael Woods released graphic body cam footage of the shooting, saying that Reardon shot the girl as she was attempting to stab someone. Woods said officers arrived at the residence about 4:44 p.m. after dispatch received a call that “females were there trying to stab them and put their hands on them.” A caller can be heard screaming in a 911 call placed at 4:32 p.m. Tuesday, asking police to come and saying someone is trying to stab them. In a second call placed around 4:48 p.m., the caller hung up after seeing police at the scene.

Footage shows Reardon arriving first at the residence, and also shows Bryant pushing another female to the ground in an attempt to stab her before attempting to stab a third female whom she had pressed up to the side of a car. Reardon can be heard saying “get down” multiple times in the footage and then at least four gunshots are heard before the girl falls to the ground but police have not confirmed whether additional shots were fired.

The Columbus Police Department took Reardon off street duty and Ohio’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation launched a criminal investigation.  He said the ongoing investigation will determine whether the actions of the officer fall under what is considered permissible.
