Russell Dickerson says eight-month-old son is “loving” the road life

As Russell Dickerson gets back into touring, he’s learning to adjust to life with a baby in tow.

Russell recently went back on the road for his first set of shows since last year when COVID-19 shut down the music industry, and joining him on his tour bus is his eight-month-old son Remington, who he and and wife Kailey welcomed in September.

“He’s loving it. He’s so attentive and he’s so aware, and I feel like he’s already really social. Anybody can pick him up and hold him and he’s smiling,” Russell tells People about Remington, adding that his son is “crushing the road life.”

“He loves to hear my music. It’s crazy, he just knows my voice. In the live situation, it’s been calming and soothing for him,” Russell adds.

Of course, Russell’s picked up tips and tricks along the way from touring with friends like Thomas Rhett and Lady A, and seeing how they balance parenthood with life on the road. For Russell and Kailey, the biggest adjustment has been having a schedule that’s less flexible than it used to be before they had a baby on board.

“It’s so funny because we’re like, ‘We’re just going to go out and play golf today.’ Then it’s like, ‘Oh wait, we have a baby. How are we going to do this?'” the “Love You Like I Used To” singer laughs. “But really, our motto is, ‘We’ll figure it out.'”

Russell also hints that he is actively writing songs for his next album, as current single “Home Sweet” climbs the charts.

Ingrid Andress is 'A Lady Like That' in Amazon Music short film

Ingrid Andress‘ fast-rising career has been turned into an Amazon Music film.

The short film, A Lady Like That — named after a lyric in her single “Lady Like” — features never-before-seen video footage capturing Ingrid’s major career moments.  There are also candid interviews with the singer detailing how she went from being an outsider in country music to scoring a nomination for Best New Artist at the 2021 Grammy Awards.

“I’m not trying to ruin any tradition or stomp on anybody’s cowboy boots, but I know I’m bringing something to the table that speaks to people,” Ingrid reflects in the trailer, which features shots of her on the red carpet at the Grammys, clips from the “Lady Like” video and scenes of her performing onstage.

“The goal is to constantly grow and be unapologetically bold,” she adds. “I feel like I’ll probably just do it that way for the rest of my life.”

Ingrid has also released an Amazon Original reimagining of “Lady Like” ahead of the film’s premiere on May 14.

Luke Bryan shuts down rumor that he's the father of Maren Morris' son

Luke Bryan is NOT the father — of Maren Morris‘ baby.

The country superstar stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week to dispel rumors that he fathered Maren’s one-year-old son, Hayes Andrew

Luke learned of the rumor when he got a call from his mother one morning, informing him that she read it in an online gossip magazine.

“‘Oh my gosh, I do not need this today,'” Luke laughed as he recalled to Ellen his reaction to the outlandish rumor.

Luke immediate sent the fake report to Hayes’ actual father — Maren’s husband, Ryan Hurd, who in fact co-wrote Luke’s current single, “Waves.”

“I shared it from my mother straight to Ryan and I said ‘buddy, I think we need to talk,'” Luke joked, asserting, “I am not the father. We can call Maury Povich in or however y’all want to go about it.”

“Thanks for clearing this one up,” Maren wrote on Twitter with a crying laughing emoji after the Ellen interview aired.

Fans can continue catch Luke on the judges panel on American Idol, airing Sunday and Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

Miranda Lambert takes to the desert for “Tin Man” video from 'The Marfa Tapes Film'

Miranda Lambert offers a first look at The Marfa Tapes Film with the premiere of a new acoustic video for “Tin Man.”

The video captures Miranda in the back of a pickup truck, clad in Southwestern attire, softly strumming a guitar as she sings the heartbreaking ballad, the sun setting behind her in the wide open terrain of Marfa, Texas.

“Tin Man” was named Song of the Year at the 2018 ACM Awards. It’s one of many songs Miranda has written with Jack Ingram and Jon Randall, with whom she collaborates on their upcoming album, The Marfa Tapes.

The acoustic project features new renditions of “Tin Man” and “Tequila Does,” alongside a collection of unheard songs that the trio recorded with just a guitar and microphone out in the desert landscape.

The Marfa Tapes drops on May 7, while The Marfa Tapes Film, which offers a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process for the album, premieres May 8 on Facebook at 7 p.m. ET.
