Shooting inside Publix grocery store in Florida leaves 3 dead, including toddler

Three people are dead, including a child, after a shooting at a South Florida grocery store on Thursday. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (“PBSO”) said the shooting took place inside a Publix supermarket in Royal Palm Beach, just west of West Palm Beach.

Police and emergency officials responded to the shopping center just before noon. Police kept most customers and employees inside the store for multiple hours for interviews before allowing some to leave around 2:30 p.m.  The PBSO said in a tweet, “Upon arrival, deputies located three individuals deceased from gunshot wounds, one adult male, one adult female and one child.  The shooter is one of the deceased. This was NOT an active shooter situation.”

Palm Beach County Commissioner Melissa McKinlay said the child was a toddler: “This one is hard,” she said. “You don’t like to hear about these things in your district. You don’t like to hear about them anywhere in the country.” Publix spokeswoman Maria Brous issued a statement saying the company couldn’t confirm any details from the incident since it involved an active police investigation: “Our thoughts are with those who are impacted by this tragedy,” she said. “We are cooperating with the local law enforcement.”

President Biden says United States to donate 500 million Covid-19 vaccines to other countries

Biden also stressed getting vaccines distributed around the world was also in American’s best interest to keep variants in check, and improve the global economy following the impacts of the pandemic. Biden had previously criticized other countries, including Russia and China, for seeking to curry favor with their vaccine programs, and argued the new surge of doses from the U.S. were being offered with “no strings attached.”  The President said, “Let me be clear, just as with the 80 million doses we previously announced, the United States is providing these half-million doses with no strings attached. Let me say it again, with no strings attached. Our vaccine donations don’t include pressure for favors or potential concessions. We’re doing this to save lives, to end this pandemic, that’s it. Period.”

Trisha Yearwood's cooking up something special for her hero, Linda Ronstadt

From the beginning of her career, Trisha Yearwood‘s made no bones about it: Linda Ronstadt is her musical hero.

Through the years, the two have become friends, with the renowned singer recognizing the two-time CMA Female Vocalist of the Year’s talent. Trisha even filled in as a member of the Trio with Dolly Parton and Emmylou Harris when Linda couldn’t make it to back-up George Jones on “Where Grass Won’t Grow” on 1994’s Bradley Barn Sessions

All told, the Rock-and-Roll Hall-of-Famer only has one tiny beef with the best-selling author and Food Network host: she’s never gotten to eat her cooking. But Trisha’s planning to fix that.

“We’ve been discussing it, and she was gonna come here right before all of the shutdown happened,” Trisha tells ABC Audio. “So it is gonna happen. I’m gonna get her in my house, in my kitchen, I’m gonna cook for her.”

“It will happen, and I will tell you about it. I can’t even believe, you know, like to say she’s my friend is like, like I need a cigarette now,” she jokes. “You know what I mean? It’s like it’s really weird, but it’s so wonderful.”

For the author of Trisha's Kitchen: Easy Comfort Food for Friends and Family, which comes out September 28, there’s perhaps no better way to show her musical hero some love.

“She’s been so kind to me, and to have somebody that I admire so much be so nice — really so kind to me — is just… I can’t even. I can’t even talk about it,” Trisha marvels. “I mean, I am talking about it! But, you know, this is pretty amazing.”

Meanwhile, Trisha and husband Garth Brooks have a top-thirty hit with their version of “Shallow.”

Tones And I announces upcoming debut album “Welcome To The Madhouse”

Tones and I has announced her debut album Welcome to the Madhouse will arrive on July 16th. Tones and I said in a statement: “This album for me is very up and down and reflects the forever changing emotions in me. There are songs on the album that were written before ‘Dance Monkey,’ about not knowing if busking was right for me. There are songs about my good friend T passing away and not wanting to deal with those emotions. The ups and downs of life in lockdown and the mental challenges/struggles. Some songs make me laugh and some make me cry but there is no running theme or vibe to the album — the songs are unique to how I was feeling the day I wrote them.”   The Australian singer’s first official LP follows hit singles including “Dance Monkey” and “Fly Away,” with the latter appearing on the upcoming album.

Ahead of Welcome to the Madhouse’s release, Tones and I also shared the animated video for the new single “Cloudy Day,” which you can view at the link – here.

Welcome to the Madhouse is available to preorder now ahead of its July 16th arrival.  Tone and I is also planning to announce U.S. tour dates in support of the album in the coming weeks.

Thomas Rhett reveals his daughters' hilarious reaction to finding out they're about to become big sisters

Thomas Rhett is ecstatic that he’s adding another daughter to his family.

“It’s overwhelming to be honest with you,” Rhett told Entertainment Tonight. “We’re due in November and we’re gonna have four little girls and it’s just gonna be awesome.”

Despite being the only man in the house, the country crooner attests he doesn’t mind being outnumbered, telling the outlet, “I feel like I’ve gotten very good at being a ‘girl dad,’ so very, very excited about it.”

Rhett and wife Lauren Akins announced in May that they’re about to become a family of six.  The singer said his three little ones had quite the reaction when they found out that they were about to become big sisters.

“I have a video of it that I haven’t shared with anybody yet… Lauren’s showing them the pregnancy test and them being like, ‘Is it a boy. Is it a brother?’ Lauren’s like, ‘We don’t know yet,'” the four-time Grammy nominee disclosed. “When they told them they were like, ‘We wanted a boy!'”

Rhett says his daughters might have one last chance of getting that elusive baby brother, as he’s previously expressed that he wants to have five children.

The “Some People Do” singer also shared his upcoming Father’s Day plans and revealed he’ll have his hands full, because he’s in charge of preparing the meal that day.

“Most every Father’s Day, the girls just let me cook something,” he cracked. “That’s what I love to do. I love standing by the grill. And a lot of the time on Father’s Day, they’ll help me kind of prep the stuff that we’re cooking. Hopefully it’s just chill. Sit by the pool, have a beer, cookout, do the thing.”

Fan-supported Morgan Wallen billboards pop up in Nashville

A series of fan-funded billboards supporting embattled country artist Morgan Wallen popped up in Nashville this week, according to Nashville’s The Tennessean newspaper.

The billboards — seven in total scattered across Music City — include a silhouette of Wallen against a plaid, red-and-black checkered background that reads, in all caps, “The fans are speaking.  Enough is Enough.  Music industry we want to be heard.”

The billboards indicate that “Darleen Ingram and fans” paid for them to support the 28-year-old East Tennessee native.

This marks at least the third set of billboards paid for by Wallen's fans, according to the Tennessean.  Six were erected in Nashville just before the ACM Awards.  In May, they bought a billboard in Los Angeles boycotting the Billboard Music Awards.

Wallen became embroiled in controversy after being caught on video in October of last year using a racial slur, leading to multiple stations across the country to remove his music from their playlists. Additionally, his label, Big Loud Records, suspended his recording contract indefinitely and he was dropped by talent agency WME.

Wallen has since apologized for his language, promising “to do better.”

Despite the fallout, Wallen’s Dangerous: The Double Album, which was released in January, spent a record-breaking 10 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart — the majority of that occurring after he was recorded using the racial slur. Wallen also picked up three Billboard Music Awards, despite being barred from attending or performing at the ceremony.

Carly Pearce's dog was glam at the CMT Awards, but Lindsay Ell's pooch caused a broken foot before the show

The “dog days” of summer are taking on a whole new meaning for Carly Pearce and Lindsay Ell, who've each adopted an adorable new puppy within the last year.

Carly's Shih Tzu, June, stepped out in style on Wednesday night, appearing on the CMT Music Awards red carpet wearing a pink bowtie and leash to match her country-star owner's outfit.

“I definitely had the hottest date at the [CMT Awards],” Carly joked on social media, sharing a snap of herself with her adorable, and very red carpet-ready, pup.

Lindsay, who became dog-mom to a Pomeranian named Hendrix early in 2021, sported an equally eye-catching accessory as she stepped out onto Wednesday night's red carpet: A silver boot with a dazzling dress and scooter to match.

The singer explained that she'd broken her foot a few days before the show, as the result of a dog-related injury.

“[Hendrix] got out of the bus, we left the bus door open and she just went plummeting out of it,” Lindsay told ET! Online. “Naturally, like any dog owner, [I ran] after her, but I was in socks.”

Lindsay says she jumped out of the bus and landed a little too hard, adding, “I broke it pretty good.”

Lindsay posted a social media update about her broken foot last weekend, sharing a masked snapshot of herself at the doctor's office along with the caption, “When your Saturday becomes a little more eventful…”
