Trisha Yearwood says she and Garth Brooks would consider hosting talk show — under one condition

Could a talk show be in Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood‘s future?

After recently hosting The Ellen Degeneres Show together, fans have been buzzing about the beloved couple helming their own talk show.  During an appearance on TalkShopLive, Trisha revealed that it’s an opportunity they would consider under one condition: the show would have to come to them.

“The one caveat for me is it would have to be in Nashville. It was really fun, he and I had a really good time doing that together,” she says, in reference to hosting Ellen.

The pair have also proven themselves as hosts of their own shows: Garth with his weekly Inside Studio G on Facebook Live and Trisha as longtime host of the Food Network’s Trisha’s Southern Kitchen. The “Walkaway Joe” singer shares that when she was pitched the idea of having a cooking show, she requested to shoot it in Oklahoma, where she and Garth were living at the time.

“They came to Oklahoma and we filmed there, and now that we’re in Nashville we film the show here. So to be able to film the show and then go home at night is important,” she explains. “So I would not say that it’s something we wouldn’t consider, but I think they’d have to come to us.”

Additionally, Trisha is open to the idea of having a live studio audience if they shot in Music City.

“It would also be easy for guests, especially artists, because so many people live here, and not just in country music. A lot of artists from all forms of music live in this town. Nashville’s a cool city,” she says. “Think about it, guys.”

Trisha is set to release her new cookbook, Trisha’s Kitchen, on September 28.

“Same Boat”: Zac Brown Band dropping new single on Friday

Zac Brown Band are on the “Same Boat” with their new single.

The Grammy-winning group are set to release the track on Friday, marking the first time the band reunited in the studio since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Described as an “uplifting” number, “Same Boat” follows the 2020 single “The Man Who Loves You the Most” — which reached the top 25 of the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart — and is the first single under the band’s new label home, Warner Music Nashville.

“‘Same Boat’ is really about the human condition,” explains frontman Zac Brown, who co-wrote the tune. “It’s about how we all go through the same things, all together. It is a chance to be able to remind people to be positive, be good to each other and show empathy. You don’t know what it’s like to walk around in someone else’s shoes. We’re all human beings. Let’s spread some love around and show kindness to each other.”

The band will set out on The Comeback Tour in August, culminating with a show at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on October 17.

Thomas Rhett releases outdoor-inspired sandal line

Thomas Rhett is channeling his passion for the great outdoors into a new product line.

The ACM Male Artist of the Year has partnered with outdoor lifestyle brand Chaco Footwear to create a sandal line, the Thomas Rhett Collection.

The first offerings from the sandal line, called the Boulder Collection, are available today. The Boulder design was inspired by a fishing trip Thomas and his wife, Lauren, took at the Boulder River in Montana, where he caught his first trout. The sandal features black soles with a green strap boasting multi-colored fly-fishing lures.

“When I’m outside my creativity levels go through the roof and it’s no wonder that nature has had such an influence on my new music, Thomas says. “There is something about being outside that just takes the worries of the world away and depletes them, for at least an hour or so. It’s a place that you can slow down and learn how to live in the moment.”

The Boulder design is also in reference to his new song “More Time Fishin‘,” from his 2021 album, Country Again: Side A. The Boulder Collection is the first of three limited-edition sandals that the singer will be releasing throughout the summer, alongside the upcoming Reflections Collection and Big Sky Country Collection.

Ten percent of proceeds from the sales of the Thomas Rhett Collection will benefit Love One International, an organization that provides medical care to children and supports communities in Uganda.

Luke Bryan books 2021 Farm Tour dates

Luke Bryan is bringing back the Farm Tour

This fall, the ACM Entertainer of the Year will visit six farms across the Midwest in September. The 12th annual trek kicks off on September 9 at  Statz Bros. Farm in Wisconsin, followed by stops in Iowa, Indiana, Illinois and Ohio before wrapping at Kubiak Family Farms in Michigan on September 18.

Luke will set up stages in the harvest fields at the farms, five of which have not been played before. Launched in 2009, the annual tour was on hiatus in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I think I am more excited about this year's Farm Tour than any other year. Growing up in a farming family in rural Georgia I know how hard farming can be even on a good year, and how hard those families work from sun-up to sundown,” Luke explains in a statement. “They never stopped providing for all of us. Ever. It's time to thank our farmers, once again. It's going to mean even more to me this year.”

Tickets for the Farm Tour go on sale June 11 at 10 a.m. local time.

Additionally, Luke will embark on his Proud To Be Right Here Tour beginning in July.

3 dead in shooting at Miami-Dade, Florida graduation party

Three people are dead and at least six others injured following a shooting at a Florida graduation party on Sunday.  Miami-Dade police Director Freddie Ramirez told news outlets that the party at a strip mall lounge was ending when one or more vehicles “pulled up and began to fire into the crowd.” The identities of those killed and wounded were not immediately released Sunday. The shooting happened about 2 a.m. in the suburb of Kendall. Two of those who died were in one of the cars police believe was involved in the shooting. The vehicle sped off and crashed into a nearby wall. Authorities found at least one gun in the car, but its exact connection to the shooting was unclear.

Sunday’s shooting follows a rise in crime in the Miami area that saw three people killed and 20 wounded in a still-unsolved mass shooting at a banquet hall over the Memorial Dad weekend.  Another shooting on May 28 in the Wynwood area killed one person and injured six others.
