Brothers Osborne release the music video for “Younger Me”

Brothers Osborne have released the video for their song Younger Me.

Younger Me is a song of encouragement for anyone pushing through a difficult time, and was inspired by singer TJ Osborne’s decision to publicly come out in February, “Younger Me” was conceived as a message to his younger self and struggling with being different, not knowing where he was going. “I’ve always wished I could speak to my younger self, give him a hug and show him who he’d become and what he’d achieve. Once I came out, that feeling was overwhelmingly strong that this song was born,” TJ said.

Brothers Osborne will be kicking off the We’re Not for Everyone Tour on July 29th, which runs through November 20th.  Check out the video for Younger Mehere.

Mariah Carey and Jay-Z’s Roc Nation part ways after alleged argument

Mariah Carey is under new management, and has parted ways with Roc Nation after three and a half years. According to reports, Mariah quit JAY-Z’s management company after a “huge fight” between the stars about the future of Carey’s career, which reportedly led her to seek new management.

Sources say that Mariah and Jay-Z had an explosive meeting which did not go well; making it clear she wants nothing more to do with him and has called it quits with Roc Nation.  Carey, who signed with Roc Nation in November 2017, will formally depart in the next few weeks — however, the Roc Nation website no longer lists her among its clients. Under Roc Nation management, Carey released her 30th anniversary album The Rarities and published her best-selling memoir The Meaning of Mariah Carey. Additionally, she signed a deal with Apple TV+‌ for her holiday special, “Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special.”

Carey is said to have already begun “talking to other managers and thinks she has found someone who she feels has full belief in her.”  She is also working on a new album and world tour.

Dolly Parton shares new album plans: “I don't know if it'll be this coming year, but it'll be soon”

Dolly Parton dropped some big news this week during an announcement at her theme park, Dollywood: She's making plans to put out her next album.

That project, Dolly says, is the product of all the extra time she's had to write new songs during the COVID-19 pandemic, and it will find her getting back to her bluegrass-tinged country roots.

“Of course, I've had plenty of time to write some new music,” she explains, “and I'm actually working on a country bluegrass album that'll come out a little later on. I don't know if it'll be this coming year, but it'll be soon.”

Dolly has kept busy throughout pandemic shutdowns. She put out her latest album, a holiday project called A Holly Dolly Christmas, in 2020. Much more than music has been keeping the singer busy, though: During this week's announcement, she also shared plans for a new Dollywood resort. Called the HeartSong Lodge & Resort after her 1994 song of the same name, the new addition to the theme park will offer five stories and 302 rooms. It will take design and aesthetic inspiration from the surrounding Smoky Mountains.

“[B]eing able to announce the new HeartSong Lodge & Resort is just one more way we're going to be able to help families reconnect, explore and discover together,” Dolly reflects. “I truly believe the natural beauty of the Smokies and the warmth of this special place will inspire every guest to nurture the HeartSong' within them.”

Thomas Rhett tells the story of how he and his wife found out she was pregnant with baby number four

Thomas Rhett and his wife, Lauren Akins, have always wanted a big family. But still, they were pretty surprised to see a positive pregnancy test during a ski trip to Colorado to celebrate the singer's 31st birthday.

“We were on a ski lift and my wife kept saying she was just feeling nauseous,” Thomas recounts to People, saying that it didn't immediately dawn on him that she might be experiencing early pregnancy symptoms.

Finally, he jokingly wondered if Lauren could be pregnant, but she was adamant that she wasn't.

“She was like, There's no way I could be pregnant.' And I was like, Well, there's definitely a way,'” the singer goes on to say. “And we went and got a pregnancy test, and literally within 15 seconds, there were two pink lines on the pregnancy test.”

While the news may have been unexpected, the couple was so excited that they called their family from Colorado to tell them. “It's just wild. We always wanted five kids, so we're just kind of working our way there,” Thomas continues.

Two months later, they let fans in on their secret, too. Thomas announced their next addition during a show in Fort Worth Texas, also telling fans that the baby will be their fourth daughter.

When she arrives, baby girl number four will join big sisters Willa Gray, Ada James and Lennon Love. The youngest member of the household is due to arrive in November.

Luke Combs sells out three nights of Alabama shows, just minutes after tickets go on sale

Luke Combs can't wait to return to the road, and apparently neither can his fans. Tickets for the singer's three-night engagement at Orange Beach, Alabama's The Wharf Amphitheater went on sale Friday morning — and just minutes later, all three nights were sold out.

That's a venue record, making Luke both the artist to sell out The Wharf the fastest, as well as the only artist to ever sell out its amphitheater for three consecutive nights.

“Man, I've got to admit that I didn't know what to expect. It has been 15 months since we've put any shows on sale,” the singer says. “I've missed being on the road and playing for the fans more than anything, so this is super humbling to see they can't wait to get back out on the road either.”

He adds, “I was already very pumped for these shows, but I'm even more pumped now. I can't wait.”

Luke's sold-out, three-night stop at The Wharf is set for July 2, 3 and 4. It's just a preview of things to come for the star, who has a handful of shows set for this summer before he hits the road for more headlining arena stops in the fall of 2021.

Maren Morris hops on the “Last Train Home” as a featured vocalist on John Mayer's new single

If you thought it was a little strange that Maren Morris and John Mayer were paired up to perform at the Grammy Awards back in March, well, now we know why: Maren's a featured vocalist on John's new single, “Last Train Home.”

The country superstar makes an appearance at the end of the song, offering backing harmonies and a few soaring vocal runs. She makes an appearance in the just-released music video, too, grooving in jeans, a bikini top and a fringed jacket as she performs onstage.

Elsewhere in the clip, John performs the song with his band and alone in a train station. An adorable dog makes an appearance, too.

“Last Train Home” is a single off of Sob Rock, a new project that John says was inspired by the music of the 80s. That influence comes through loud and clear in the song. The album will include three more singles that John's released since 2018, too: “New Light,” “I Guess I Just Feel Like” and “Carry Me Home.”

Maren recently also contributed backing vocals to a song by another pop superstar, appearing on Taylor Swift's “You All Over Me.” She's at work on her own third studio album, as well.

For their appearance together on the Grammys stage this spring, John and Maren performed Maren’s crossover mega-hit, “The Bones.”
