Jimmie Allen lends his voice to Noah Schnacky's epic new “Don't You Wanna Know”

Jimmie Allen and rising star Noah Schnacky blend country storytelling with a pulsing electronic beat on “Don't You Wanna Know,” which the latter singer co-wrote.

Epic and wistful, the song asks a love interest to take a shot on romance. Fittingly enough, Noah says that its story line originated in a dream he had.

“I had a dream my best friend was singing this song to a girl and I immediately woke up and looked up the lyrics and found nothing,” he explains. “As the song came to fruition, I knew adding Jimmie's style would really make it pop.”

Plus, the “Best Shot” star had been a longtime supporter to the younger artist. “He was one of the first artists to take me in and support me, so I was stoked he agreed to do it,” Noah goes on to say.

Adds Jimmie, “It was an honor for Noah to reach out to me to be a part of it. He made me feel comfortable to be myself on the track, which says a lot about him as an artist. I'm super proud of the song.”

The pair also teamed up for a music video, featuring performance footage as well as shots filmed during a summer night in the countryside.

Miranda Lambert shares the inspirations behind the design aesthetics of her new bar, Casa Rosa

Miranda Lambert recently added the role of bar owner to her multi-hyphenate entertainment industry career, opening her honky-tonk Casa Rosa on downtown Nashville's Broadway strip.

Influenced by the singer's Texas roots and featuring personal touches like an Instagram-worthy rose wall and tufted pink booths, Miranda personally designed Casa Rosa’s aesthetics from top to bottom. Miranda teamed up with her long-time personal designer Phara Queen, as well as the TC Restaurant Group (TCRG), the latter of which is behind star-owned bars like FGL House, Luke's 32 Bridge and more.

For example, TCRG-associated artist Tim “Tiny” Parker worked to make custom pieces for Miranda’s venue, including a 12-foot-tall Saguaro cactus and a larger-than-life saddle embellished with Miranda's name.

Before Casa Rosa's official opening, Miranda broke in her new hotspot with a VIP-only karaoke party, with star guests like Kid Rock, Ashley McBryde, Darius Rucker and many more. The singer's husband, Brendan McLoughlin, was also in attendance, and the country superstar couple even hopped onstage for a karaoke duet during the party.

“Throw It Back”: Keith Urban joins forces with Breland once again for a new banjo-studded banger

Keith Urban and Breland have already proved just how fruitful their collaborations can be with the release of “Out the Cage,” a duet on Keith's recent album, The Speed of Now Part 1. Now, the pair have reunited for another song, “Throw It Back.”

While “Throw It Back” isn't the first team-up fans have heard from the two artists, Breland says that it's actually the first song they collaborated to make. They co-wrote “Throw It Back” in June of 2020.

“Throw It Back' is the first song Keith and I ever worked on together, and despite it being so sonically left of center, he immediately recognized it as a special song and started adding his iconic flavor to the record,” the rising artist recounts. “You'll be able to my and Keith's energy flowing not only in the song but in the video, which we helped shape together as well.”

Urban and Breland released a music video to go along with “Throw It Back” the same day the song came out.

“Breland is my brother from another mother. I LOVE creating with him,” Keith adds. “Everything is so simpatico and matter-of-fact — here it is! I'm stoked that a song written from our very first time writing together…is finally coming out.”

Keith is just one of many A-List country artists that Breland has teamed up with recently. He also has duets out with Gary LeVox, Sam Hunt, Mickey Guyton and more.

Famed criminal defense attorney F. Lee Bailey dies at age 87

High-profile criminal defense attorney F. Lee Bailey, who represented O.J. Simpson at his trial in 1995, has died at age 87.  Bailey’s death was confirmed to The Associated Press by Peter Horstmann, who worked with Bailey as an associate in the same law office for seven years.

Bailey served as one of Simpson’s attorneys, which ended in his acquittal in the 1994 murders of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ronald Goldman.  In tribute on his Twitter page, Simpson called Bailey, “a great friend,” and “one of the great lawyers of our time.  He was smart, sharp as ever.  F. Lee Bailey, maybe the best lawyer of our time, of this generation, but a great guy. God bless his family. God bless you, Lee. You will be missed by me.”

Bailey’s legal career lasted more than four decades. In the 1960s, he secured a reversal of Dr. Sam Sheppard’s conviction in the murder of his pregnant wife and an acquittal at his second trial. He also represented Albert DeSalvo, who claimed to be the Boston Strangler, and Patricia Hearst. Bailey’s other high-profile clients included Capt. Ernest Medina, charged in connection with the My Lai massacre during the Vietnam War.

President Biden offers tax concessions on infrastructure package with Republicans

President Joe Biden offered to narrow his $1.7 trillion infrastructure package in a concession to Republicans. Biden put forth a new $1 trillion proposal to Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, R-W.Va., who is leading the Senate Republicans’ negotiations with Biden on the deal.

Biden initially proposed a $2 trillion package that included two parts — the American Jobs Plan and the American Families Plan — to focus on modernizing transportation infrastructure, including roads, bridges and airports. He also sought to boost the electric vehicle market, expand broadband Internet access, upgrade schools and affordable housing, increase job training, and care for elderly and disabled Americans.  He sought to pay for the package by raising the tax rates on corporations and wealthier Americans, however Republicans have countered with narrower proposals.

Biden’s new proposal is half what he originally sought to pass, but still includes nearly four times the new spending Republicans wanted in their own counteroffer. Capito and Biden were expected to speak again Friday.

Luke Bryan wants you to drink any beer you like, as long as it's Two Lane

Sure, Luke Bryan‘s a country superstar, the reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year, and an American Idol judge. But the Georgia Southern graduate with a business management degree is also an entrepreneur, with his own Music City honky tonk, Luke’s 32 Bridge, and a host of other endeavors.

Now you can add his own beer, Two Lane, to the list. Introduced right before the pandemic, it’s now getting a re-launch — and Luke’s pretty excited about it.

“It’s totally the same feeling of hearing your song for the first time on the radio,” he reflects. “I’m walking through Publix, I’m looking through the aisles and there it is. Obviously, I had to buy a couple 12 packs.”

He continues, “But the funny thing…all you want to do is walk around the stores and just tell everybody, ‘This is my beer I’m buying.'”

The “Waves” hitmaker even admits to getting a little starstruck about it.

“A couple of weeks ago, I’m driving down I-65 and I see a Two Lane billboard on the highway,” he recalls. “And I freaked out, called everybody up.”

He goes on: “And then I was at my son’s basketball game and one of the mothers walked out of the basketball game wearing a Two Lane hat. It’s kind of like when I see somebody with my merchandise on out somewhere, you wanna have a little fun with them.”

Back home at Luke’s farm, all other beers have been banished.

“It’s… kind of like what Henry Ford said about the Model T,” he jokes. “‘You can have any color you want, as long as it’s black.’ Well, at my farm, you can drink any beer you want as long as it’s Two Lane.”

Two Lane also is available in four flavors of Hard Seltzer.
