Former President Trump ends his blog after less than a month

Former President Donald Trump is shutting down his blog after less than a month.  “From the Desk of Donald J. Trump” went live May 4, featuring statements Trump has made since March. The blog was meant to fill the ex-president’s communication gap after he was banned by social media outlets like Facebook and Twitter in January. Last month, the Facebook Oversight Board ruled that Trump would remain banned from the platform, but Facebook did not decide whether the ban will be permanent or set a time for reinstatement.

The blog site “From the Desk of Donald J. Trump” redirects now to a different site that asked visitors to sign up for Trump updates. According to Trump adviser Jason Miller  “It was just auxiliary to the broader efforts we have [been] and are working on.”

Trump is expected to return to the campaign trail on behalf of Republicans running for seats in the House and Senate in 2022. Trump himself has not announced whether he will run again for another term in office.

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s opponents reach coalition deal, paving the way for his exit

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s opponents announced they have reached a deal to form a new governing coalition, paving the way for the ouster of the longtime Israeli leader.

The announcement by opposition leader Yair Lapid and his main coalition partner, Naftali Bennett, came shortly before a midnight deadline.  Under the agreement, Lapid and Bennett will split the job of prime minister in a rotation. Bennett will serve the first two years, while Lapid is to serve the final two years.

The agreement still needs to be approved by the Knesset, or parliament, in a vote early next week. If it goes through, Lapid and a diverse array of partners will end the 12-year rule of Netanyahu. Netanyahu, who is fighting corruption charges, is expected to do everything possible in the coming days to prevent the new coalition from taking power. If he fails, he will be pushed into the opposition.

Dustin Lynch is ready to “act a fool” as he returns to Sin City for his Pool Situation

What hath Luke Bryan wrought?

Long ago, the ACM Entertainer of the Year christened Dustin Lynch the official mayor of Crash My Playa, thanks to the epic pool parties he’s led at the superstar’s annual January gathering in the Caribbean. Now, after missing the 2021 edition of Luke’s fan getaway vacation thanks to COVID-19, Dustin kicks off his own four-day Pool Situation today in Las Vegas — and there’s sure to be plenty of post-pandemic revelry.

“It’s gonna be myself and my band’s first legit show together on the books,” Dustin explains, “and weirdly enough, our last show together was in Las Vegas for John Deere before we got the plug pulled. So it’s great to kick it back off in Las Vegas.”

He predicts that the Pool Situation will be “a lot crazier than a corporate John Deere event, and we’ll be acting a fool.”

Dustin is bringing a couple buddies along to help with his tomfoolery, and then Miley Cyrus‘ big sister will take over when the boys need a break.

“There’s no rules at the Pool Situation,” Dustin warns, “so we’ll just let the buzz dictate how long we play and what we play. But we’re taking Jordan Davis, taking HARDY, and Brandi Cyrus is coming along to be all things in-between crazy. So we’ll have a good time of great memory-making out there.”

The Pool Situation: Vegas kicks off with the “Where It’s At” Welcome Party at 10:30 tonight, with events continuing into the wee hours Sunday morning. Even though packages including rooms are sold-out, Party Passes are still available.

Luke Bryan's pranks continue as he and his wife take turns “goosing” his mom, LeClair

You've heard of “Pranksmas,” Luke Bryan's annual family tradition of celebrating the holiday season with a series of pranks on unsuspecting family members. Now, meet the “Summer of the Goose”!

Over the past couple of days, the singer and his wife, Caroline, have been taking turns trying out their new favorite prank: Goosing, a.k.a. poking or pinching somebody in the butt when they least expect it. The target, in this case, is Luke's mom LeClair, who is a social media star in her own right and frequently takes part in the family's prank wars.

Caroline got her “goosing” in during a family trip to the beach, taking advantage of the perfect moment when LeClair bent over to adjust her beach chair. Her mother-in-law immediately retaliated, smacking Caroline in the head before returning to her seat.

“Couldn't resist…I had to goose her! Sorry Hurricane Salem!!” Caroline wrote in the caption of her post.

For his part, Luke took an opportune moment to goose his mom when she was bending over putting groceries in the fridge. “Summer of the Goose!” he wrote alongside his post.

More than likely, LeClair will soon get her revenge. Past prank wars prove that the country star's mom can dish it out just as well as she can take it.
