Coachella announces dates for April 2022 return

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival will return next year for the first time since 2019. Organizers announced the festival will be held the weekends of April 15-17 and 22-24, 2022.

Earlier this year, Coachella 2021 was canceled by the public health officer in Riverside County, California, having been rescheduled to April 9-11 and 16-18, 2021. The cancelation was due to the resurgence of COVID-19 worldwide, and within Riverside County.  Last March 2020, Coachella was postponed from its original dates in April to October due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and by June 2020 it was cancelled for the first time in 20 years.

Coachella 2020 was slated to feature Frank Ocean, Rage Against the Machine, and Travis Scott as headliners, with a full lineup including Lana Del Rey, Lil Uzi Vert, Thom Yorke, Run the Jewels, Danny Elfman, FKA twigs, DaBaby, 21 Savage, Caribou, Lil Nas X, and more.

BTS earns their 4th No. 1 song in nine months with “Butter”

BTS’s latest single, “Butter,” has made music history for the South Korean band. “Butter” has debuted at the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 charts, making it the group’s fourth No. 1 song in the past nine months.  “Butter” topping this week’s chart comes exactly nine months after their first No. 1 single, “Dynamite,” hit the top spot on September 5, 2020.

The No. 1 debut of “Butter” also means that BTS has achieved the quickest journey to four No. 1 singles among groups since the Jackson 5 did so back in 1970.  It also makes BTS just one of a handful of artists to achieve their first four No. 1 singles in under a year, joining The Beatles, The Supremes, Justin Timberlake, the Jackson 5, Mariah Carey, and Paula Abdul.

“Forever After All”: Luke Combs collects another #1 hit

Luke Combs continues to dominate the charts.

Luke has amassed his 11th consecutive #1 single, as “Forever After All” reaches the top of the BillboardCountry Airplay chart this week, a first-time feat on the 31-year-old chart.

This makes for the sixth #1 hit off Luke’s blockbuster sophomore album, What You See Is What You Get, and its deluxe edition, What You See Ain’t Always What You Get, following in the footsteps of “Beer Never Broke My Heart,” “Even Though I’m Leaving,” “Does to Me” featuring Eric Church, “Lovin’ on You” and “Better Together.”

“Forever After All” also made history when it debuted at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 last year, giving him the highest entry on the all-genre chart for a solo male country artist.

Additionally, What You See Ain’t Always What You Get bowed at #1 on the Billboard 200 and Top Country Albums charts following its 2020 release.

Luke is set to embark on his extensive What You See Is What You Get Tour this month. It kicks off June 13 at Carolina Country Music Fest in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and wraps with a two-night stand at TD Garden in Boston on December 2 and 3.

“The Allens, forever”: Jimmie Allen and wife Alexis share photos from wedding

ABC/Eric McCandless

Jimmie Allen and his wife Alexis took to Instagram over the weekend to share photos from their wedding day.

The couple tied the knot on Thursday at The Lake House Inn in Pennsylvania, where the guest list included Darius Rucker and Tyler Rich, among others.

“Mr & Mrs Allen,” Jimmie captions a nighttime photo of he and his bride sitting on the steps outside the luxurious venue, while another shows them in an affectionate embrace at sunset surrounded by pink roses. “My Forever,” the singer writes with a black heart emoji. “I love you @lexmarieallen.”

“The Allens, forever,” she replies alongside a photo of the bride and groom posing in the aisle at the outdoor wedding venue, before a waterfront view.

The couple was introduced by an Allen family member in their hometown of Milton, Delaware. The country star popped the question in 2019 during a family trip to Disney World. They welcomed daughter Naomi Bettie in March 2020, who joins Jimmie’s six-year-old son, Aadyn, from a previous relationship.
