Little Big Town's Karen Fairchild joins hit songwriter Emily Weisband for an ethereal new duet

Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Emily Weisband enlists Little Big Town band mate Karen Fairchild for her newest song, “butterfly.”

“From the moment I heard this song I couldn't stop listening and harassing Emily about it!” Karen explains. “It's so relatable — the stages of love and how they change. Emily's voice and writing has a vulnerability that is gut-wrenching. I'm so happy that she asked me to be a part of it.”

Emily got the idea for the song as she reflected on how the passage of time affects a relationship. “As fun as the butterflies are when you're first falling in love, they do fly away and that's when love becomes a choice,” she says.

“I wanted to write a song about staying even when the feelings fade, and I'm so honored that Karen wanted to sing this song with me,” Emily adds. “We felt like telling this story from both the perspective of a woman in a new relationship and a woman who's been married for years was a really powerful way to share it.”

The new track follows Emily's most recent EP, I Call It Being Human. In her work as a songwriter, she's teamed up with country A-Listers like Dan + Shay and Keith Urban, as well as pop stars like BTS, Halsey and Camila Cabello.

Chris Young cranks up the good times on his new song, “One of Them Nights”

Chris Young leans into his hard-partying side with “One of Them Nights,” an anthem for the kinds of rural Friday nights that turn a small-town hay field into the hottest club in town.

“Yeah, you know what I'm talkin' bout, y'all/ No closing time, don't need a last call,” Chris sings in the song's turbo-charged chorus. “The man in the moon's gonna leave on the lights/ Drop it into four-wheel, feels like one of them nights.”

“One of Them Nights” is the newest track to be released off of his Famous Friends album, which comes out in full August 6.

Fans have already heard several of the songs on Famous Friends, including its title track, a duet with Kane Brown that hit number-one on the country charts earlier this month. Kane's not the only “Famous Friend” on Chris' new project, either: The album features guest spots from Lauren Alaina, Mitchell Tenpenny and Dan + Shay's Shay Mooney.

Recently, Chris invited Mitchell — and a crowd full of fans — to join him in downtown Nashville, where the two stars filmed the music video for their duet, “At the End of a Bar.” Fans who swung by to be extras in the crowd scenes were rewarded with some live music from the two performers.

“Memory”: Kane Brown's new blackbear duet is a sobering look at the downside of life lived fast

Kane Brown and his latest out-of-genre collaborator, pop songwriter/producer blackbear, share a word of warning in their new song, “Memory.” The song's lyrics address the anxiety of living and partying in overdrive, while worrying about when the repercussions will hit.

“I wanna live life fast, I don't know how to slow down / I wanna get high, I don't know how to come down / Help me now, I'm running on empty / And I don't wanna be a memory,” the pair harmonize in the chorus.

Kane and blackbear swap lead vocals throughout the track, with Kane singing, “I know this can't be healthy / So I'm lookin' for a way out,” in the first verse.

Per Billboard, “Memory” is headed to pop radio this Friday. The two artists co-wrote the track along with Ernest Smith, Andrew Goldstein and Joe Kirkland. They also premiered the music video for their new song on YouTube Friday afternoon, signing onto the platform for a live chat with fans shortly beforehand.

“Memory” is the latest in a long string of non-country collaborations for Kane, who's previously shared songs with the likes of Marshmello, Khalid and Swae Lee, Becky G and Camila Cabello.

Meanwhile, Kane is continuing to dominate the country world, too. His duet single with Chris Young, “Famous Friends,” is currently a top-five hit.

Parmalee plan a new album 'For You', hot on the heels of their “Just the Way” chart success

Earlier this year, Parmalee returned to the top of the country chart with “Just the Way,” their collaboration with Blanco Brown. Now, with that momentum behind them, the country group has announced a new album called For You.

The thirteen-song collection includes “Just the Way.” Leaning into the success they've had with collaborations thus far, the band also put two more duets on the album: “Greatest Hits,” with Fitz, and “Forget You” with Avery Anna. “Greatest Hits” is out today in celebration of the album announcement, as is another song, the romantic “Take My Name.”

The bulk of the For You track list was co-written by Parmalee frontman Matt Thomas, who says having a hand in so many of the songs made the album-making process more intimate.

“We feel most authentic and our best as a band when we feel like we're having a conversation with the audience,” says Matt. “That's what we really narrowed in on for this album and leaned into what makes Parmalee sound like Parmalee — it's all based on our connection to the fans.”

He adds, “For You is an album for the fans — the ones who've supported us for years, and the new ones we're getting to know every day.”

For You will be out July 30. It's available to pre-add and pre-save now.

Garth Brooks says fans should come to his Las Vegas show ready to party: “We're going to hit hard and fast”

It's been well over a year since Garth Brooks has hit the stage for a Stadium Tour stop, but that's all about to change. On Saturday, July 10, he'll resume the tour in Las Vegas.

The singer says he's planning to make up for lost time, and fans coming to the show should be prepared.

“If you're not early to Vegas, you're late,” Garth warns. “It's going to be stupid. No opener, so we're just going to go out…we're just going to play our music…and just going to kind of take our time [and] at the same time move as fast as we can through all these songs.”

Garth's counting on the audience to be ready to jump right back into the swing of live music with him. “[S]tretch out before the show! You don't get to warm up at one of these shows, man!” he says. “We're going to hit, and we're going to hit hard and fast and just start runnin' from there.”

Garth's Vegas show is a sold-out stop at Allegiant Stadium, which has a capacity of approximately 65,000, according to the venue's website. The country superstar's planning on rocking out with a massive crowd full of fans who've been starved for live music over the past year and a half.

“My plan is for you guys to crawl out of Vegas,” Garth jokes.
