Halsey reveals cover art and release date for new album ‘If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power’

On Wednesday July 7th, Halsey revealed the artwork to her forthcoming album titled If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power, posting a teaser video.

Halsey wrote on Instagram “This album is a concept album about the joys and horrors of pregnancy and childbirth. It was very important to me that the cover art conveyed the sentiment of my journey over the past few months. The dichotomy of the Madonna and the Whore. The idea that me as a sexual being and my body as a vessel and gift to my child are two concepts that can co-exist peacefully and powerfully. My body has belonged to the world in many different ways the past few years, and this image is my means of reclaiming my autonomy and establishing my pride and strength as a life force for my human being. This cover image celebrates pregnant and postpartum bodies as something beautiful, to be admired,” she adds. “We have a long way to go with eradicating the social stigma around bodies & breastfeeding. I hope this can be a step in the right direction.”

‘If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power’, produced by Trent Reznor And Atticus Ross, is Halsey’s 4th studio release and the follow-up to last year’s Manic.  ‘If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power’ will drop August 27; you can preorder the LP – here.

Gwen Stefani shares a dressed-up family photo from her wedding day with Blake Shelton

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani officially tied the knot on Saturday, July 3, and since then, the couple has been sharing details about their stunning, intimate ceremony that took place on Blake's Oklahoma ranch.

On Instagram, Gwen celebrated her new family of five by posting a photo of herself and Blake along with her three sons: 15-year-old Kingston, 12-year-old Zuma and 7-year-old Apollo

All three of the boys were looking dapper in custom suits with matching bowties and boutonnieres. For his part, Blake kept it country with a pair of blue jeans, but gave his outfit a formal twist with a tuxedo jacket, vest and white bow tie.

As always, Gwen was the more sophisticated half of the couple, wearing not one but two Vera Wang dresses during the wedding ceremony. She completed her bridal look with a custom veil embroidered with her name and Blake's, as well as those of her three sons.

Gwen's most recent wedding snap is the latest in a series of jaw-dropping images she's shared from her wedding day. Elsewhere on her socials, the singer posed for a romantic shot with her new husband, modeled her shorter “party dress” and goofed off with celebrity officiant Carson Daly

Jon Pardi is the Big Machine Music City Grand Prix's newest headliner

Jon Pardi has been announced as a Saturday-night headliner for the Big Machine Music City Grand Prix, a three-day event happening in August.

Celebrating both music and racing, the Grand Prix will take place on a temporary, 2.17-mile circuit in downtown Nashville, which crosses the Cumberland River. That makes it the only current event in motorsports to cross over a major body of water.

A stacked lineup has already been announced: Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn, Justin Moore, Riley Green, Danielle Bradbery and more artists have signed on to perform as part of the event.

A variety of ticketing options, including three-day packages and single-day passes, are available now. The event will take place August 6-8; Jon's headlining show is on Saturday, August 7.

Meanwhile, Jon is busily getting back to touring and performing after ending a stint of doctor-mandated vocal rest at the beginning of this month. He's planning to keep busy at arenas, amphitheaters and fairs for the rest of the summer, concluding with a performance at Dierks Bentley's Seven Peaks Festival over Labor Day weekend.

Cody Johnson's 'Dear Rodeo' documentary gets a theatrical release date for this August

Back in February, Cody Johnson shared a trailer for an upcoming documentary focused on his life. The film chronicles his journey, beginning with his time as a bull rider on the Texas rodeo circuit and leading up to his success in country music.

Now, Dear Rodeo: The Cody Johnson Story is officially set to hit select theaters, with screenings beginning August 10. Leading up to release day, ticket sales begin on July 14, with a fan pre-sale planned for the day before.

The film will feature candid interviews with Cody himself, as well as a variety of people close to the singer. His wife, Brandi Johnson, makes an appearance, as do the singer's high school teachers and pastor, his producer Trent Willmon, and more.

Reba McEntire has a guest spot in the film, too. She also sings on the duet version of Cody's song “Dear Rodeo,” which lends its title to the documentary, and tells the intimate story of how the singer loved and left rodeo life. When it comes to that subject matter, Reba understands Cody's experience: As a kid, she was a barrel racer herself.

Martina McBride is planning an exclusive vinyl double LP of her greatest hits

Martina McBride is bringing some of the biggest hits of her career to vinyl.

“When I signed my record deal with RCA in 1991, vinyl was out and CDs were in. Even though I've always been happy to see my name on any form of recorded music, I've always hoped to see my music on vinyl,” Martina explains. “…This is a very special project to me and I'm excited that everyone will be able to add it to their vinyl collection.”

Plus, if you pick up their copies at Walmart, you can grab an exclusive edition of Martina's Greatest Hits that’s pressed on special sea blue vinyl.

Garth Brooks adds a Massachusetts date to his Stadium Tour, and it's got special personal significance

For the first time in six years, Garth Brooks is returning to the Boston area for a major concert event. This week, he added a new stop on his Stadium Tour in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

The show will take place October 9. It'll be the first time Garth has ever played the venue — Gillette Stadium — as well as the first concert that's been held there in 2021.

But that's not the only reason the show will be a special one, says Garth, pointing out that “[o]ne of the many reasons why I'm so excited about playing Gillette Stadium is this is kind of where it all began for us.” The venue is owned by billionaire businessman Robert Kraft, whose holdings also include the NFL team the New England Patriots, and whose family encouraged Garth early on to branch out into the realm of stadium shows.

“The Krafts were the first stadium — and the first family — to come to us and say, Hey, man — you can play stadiums, and you should play stadiums.' It was very sweet,” the singer says. “They believed in us years and years ago. Now it's neat that it's finally coming to fruition and the circle is kind of being complete.”

Tickets to Garth's Foxborough show go on sale next Friday, July 16 at 10AM ET. As always for Garth's stadium stops, the show will feature in the round seating, and tickets will cost $94.95, all-inclusive.

George Strait and Eric Church are joining the second annual ATLive lineup

George Strait, Eric Church and singer-songwriter Caitlyn Smith are holding down one half of the lineup for the second annual ATLive event, Billboard reports. This year's ATLive will take place in November.

The country performers will hit the stage on November 5, which is the first of two nights of music planned. The following day, November 6, Metallica will headline a bill that also includes Cage the Elephant and Greta Van Fleet.

ATLive took a pandemic-induced break in 2020, and before that, its inaugural 2019 event was made up of entirely country performers. Eric's a repeat ATLive performer, and last time around, Keith Urban, Blake Shelton, Sugarland, Sam Hunt and Luke Combs joined him.

A portion of ATLive ticket sales proceeds will benefit two causes of the headliners' choosing: Metallica's nonprofit  All Within My Hands, and George's cause of choice, the Military Warriors Support Foundation.

Tickets to ATLive will go on sale July 16.
