Jimmie Allen teases he's “in trouble” on 'Dancing with the Stars'

Jimmie Allen‘s got so much swagger, Twitter though he was an NFL player when he had to hide his identity before it was revealed he’s competing on Dancing With the Stars.

But the real Jimmie won’t front when it comes to how much experience he has.

“When it comes to ballroom dancing, none!” he laughs.  “I have no idea what I’m doing.”

“But I did musical theater,” he suggests, “but it’s a completely different style, you know. I realized that the first day of rehearsals. I was like, ‘Goodness! What am I doing out here?'”

The “Freedom Was a Highway” hitmaker is careful to be modest. But he knows where his strengths are.

“The advantages? I don’t think I have any,” he tells ABC Audio, “You know, I don’t think I have any advantage. I think if I can get more camera time talking and just hanging out than dancing, and let people judge me off of that, we’re good. We’re gonna take that mirrorball home.”

“But since they judge me on, you know, being on the show with dancing and stuff, I’m in trouble,” he teases.

Tune in to see what Jimmie can do, tonight at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

Biden administration sends border agents, begins flights to remove Haitian migrants from South Texas/Mexico border

Agents at the U.S. border with Mexico began moving thousands of Haitian migrants sheltering under the Del Rio International Bridge into the Texas town of Del Rio. The increasingly poor conditions under the bridge – which connects the Texas city with Mexico – led the Department of Homeland Security (“DHS”) to accelerate flights to Haiti and other destinations within the next 72 hours.

The DHS over the weekend said that some 2,000 people were moved to other immigration processing stations on Friday, as the town has been overwhelmed by an influx of Haitian and other migrant groups. The department said the transfers will continue to ensure that migrants are “swiftly taken into custody, processed, and removed from the United States consistent with our laws and policy.”

As the United States plans to accelerate the pace and increase capacity of flights to remove migrants at the border, the Biden administration directed U.S. agencies to work with Haiti and other governments to provide assistance and support for migrants returned to their countries.

It is only in recent days that the number of migrants seeking jobs and safety converging on Del Rio has drawn widespread attention, posing a humanitarian and political challenge for the Biden administration.

Dan + Shay's “I Should Probably Go to Bed” becomes a sing-along at Madison Square Garden

Dan + Shay are back on their The (Arena) Tour, which included a show on Thursday night (September 16) at Madison Square Garden. The duo, made up of Dan Smyers and Shay Mooneyshared a video of the sold-out crowd singing “I Should Probably Go to Bed,” reflecting on the importance of the moment.

“When the world shut down last year, we didn't see each other in person for a few months,” Dan said. “It was our first time being apart for more than a few days since we met in 2012. When we finally got back together at my house, the first thing we did was sit down at the piano and sing. We finished a song called ‘I Should Probably Go to Bed,’ and recorded it in a guest bedroom that very same day.”

Dan + Shay could have never imagined how it would feel to someday hear that song sung back to them at Madison Square Garden.

“This song is incredibly special to us for so many reasons, and there is no greater feeling than hearing y'all sing it back to us on The (Arena) Tour,” Dan said.

Brett Eldredge will become “Mr. Christmas” with new holiday album

Brett Eldredge loves everything about Christmas, including the music. The Illinois native just announced his new album, Mr. Christmas, due out on October 22. The record will feature both holiday classics and original songs, including the title track.

“We captured that nostalgic, classic feel that Christmas brings and mixed it with the soulful side of my music influences,” Brett says. “It's got a lot of heart and magic — it's a special one for people to hear.”
