Chris Stapleton featured on a song on Adele's upcoming album, '30'

Country fans will recognize a familiar name on Adele‘s new album.

The global superstar has unveiled the track list for her highly anticipated new album, 30, which features none other than Chris Stapleton

The “Tennessee Whiskey” hitmaker is a guest vocalist on a remake of Adele’s new single, “Easy on Me.” The duet version is featured as a bonus track on the deluxe edition of the album, available exclusively at Target.

While they come from different genres, this isn’t the first time that the two superstars have been connected musically. Adele recorded a cover of “If It Hadn’t Been for Love,” a song Chris co-wrote with Mike Henderson, that was issued as a limited-edition bonus track for her 21 album in 2011. The tune was originally recorded by Chris’ former bluegrass band, The SteelDrivers, in 2008.

30 is available on November 19.

“Something different”: Jimmie Allen drops romantic “Señorita”

Jimmie Allen meets a “Señorita” in a pulsing new song.

The track is a diversion from the Delaware native’s country sound, leaning more into the pop and hip-hop realm that also infuses a flamenco vibe into the music, whisking the listener off to a tropical beach for romance with an island lover.

“I’m waiting patiently/But baby don’t you make me wait too long/I’ve got it bad/My fantasy/You’re everything wrapped up and I’ve been waiting on ya/So let’s say/My little señorita/My little sugar at the bottom of a margarita that I’m sipping on a beach,” Jimmie sings over a Spanish-influenced beat.

“Something Different,” Jimmie notes in the caption accompanying the song.

When not working on new music, Jimmie is competing on Dancing with the Stars, and made it through another elimination round Monday night. He’ll return next Monday night when Dancing with the Stars airs on ABC at 8 p.m. ET.

Kane Brown's “Famous Friend” Chris Young expected a run-in with the law during their video shoot

In a little more than a week, Chris Young and Kane Brown could take home the CMA trophy for Music Video of the Year for their multi-week #1, “Famous Friends.”

While the upbeat clip is nothing but fun, Chris reveals the shoot wasn’t entirely that way.

“There was a very nerve-racking part of the video for me,” he confesses, “which is Kane didn’t want to drive… And they were like, ‘Hey, we’ve gotta get a shot of you guys, but we don’t really have a good way to do it. And I know the streets aren’t closed off, but we’re gonna put this camera on the outside of the car.'”

“I had to climb over the seat,” he continues, “get in the driver’s seat from the passenger side, and they just basically stuck this really expensive camera on the outside of the car, with tennis balls hanging off the edge of it and said, ‘Don’t hit anything.'”

So, did Chris hit anything?

“No, luckily!” he reveals. “But I was driving through like tiny streets in traffic with this thing hanging off the side of my car.”

“I was surprised I didn’t get pulled over, but I didn’t,” he adds. “They said, ‘Go!’ And I was like, ‘Okay, here we go!'”

Chris and Kane are also up for Musical Event and Single of the Year, with Chris picking up two additional nods for producing the song. They’re also set to perform it on the show, which starts at 8 p.m. ET Wednesday, November 10 on ABC.

Chris was previously nominated for New Artist of the Year in both 2010 and 2011, as well as Musical Event in 2016 for “Think of You” with Cassadee Pope. So far, he’s yet to take home country music’s most coveted award.

West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin refuses to endorse $1.75T social spending bill

On Monday, West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin said he will continue to withhold his support for a $1.75 trillion social spending package backed by President Joe Biden and Democratic progressives. Manchin diminished hopes that he would support Biden’s historic ‘Build Back Better’ social safety net plan during a Capitol Hill press conference.

Manchin told reporters: “As more of the real details outlined in the basic framework are released, what I see are shell games and budget gimmicks that make the real cost of this so-called $1.75 trillion dollar bill estimated to be twice as high if the programs are extended or made permanent.”  The votes of Democratic holdouts Manchin and Sen. Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona are necessary to move the spending bill through the Senate on a 50-50 vote via the filibuster-proof budget reconciliation process. A standoff has developed between Manchin and progressives in the House Democratic caucus, who are holding up the passage of a companion $1 trillion, bipartisan infrastructure bill which Manchin helped negotiate with Senate Republicans.

The president on Thursday announced a “framework” agreement on the re0conciliation bill, which has been greatly pared down due to Manchin’s concerns about its size, however the West Virginia senator remained insistent Monday that the bill is still too big: “Simply put, I will not support a bill that is this consequential without thoroughly understanding the impact that it will have on our national debt, our economy and most importantly all of our American people. The political games have to stop. Holding this [infrastructure] bill hostage is not going to work in getting my support for the reconciliation bill.”
