Travis Tritt pays tribute to country music legends in his video for ‘They Don’t Make ‘Em Like That No More’

Travis Tritt took to his social media channel to share the music video for his song They Don’t Make ‘Em Like That No More. The single’s video features several country music legends including Dolly Parton and Waylon Jennings.

According to Tritt, They Don’t Make ‘Em Like That No More is a throwback to all the country greats who trail-blazed the industry and paved the way for others to follow. Tritt enlisted singer-songwriter Dillon Carmichael to help write the single this past summer, explaining the song’s concept:  “We talked about, once again, the things that they used to make that would last. The things that they used to sing about and talk about that are still some of the greatest recordings that I’ve ever heard and the greatest experiences that I’ve ever had. So, that’s where that idea came from.”

They Don’t Make ‘Em Like That No More is included on Tritt’s album Set in Stone, the first album from Tritt in more than a decade.  Take a look at the video for the track: here.

Ellie Goulding opens up about her struggle with anxiety

Singer Ellie Goulding shared a recap of her 2021 on Instagram, which began with her stating that this past year was “the very best [year] of [her] life.”  Said Goulding: “I became a mother, the greatest joy I’ve known. I’ve had time to sit down with great musicians and writers and made exciting new music that I hope will give people who hear it the same euphoric escape that I experienced when writing it. I have released my first book, performed to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the President and Joni Mitchell (and I can’t explain how grateful I am for that privilege).”

However, Goulding also shared how 2021 was also the “hardest of [her] life,” sharing, “I’ve struggled daily, nightly, hourly with a kind of panic I didn’t even know existed. If I was to really think about it, my anxiety has dictated quite a lot of my life and career, and I feel sad about that. But it has also made me who I am, and sometimes at my most terrified, when I feel there is no escape from the sheer panic and dread in my heart and brain, I remind myself that I can feel. I feel so much and that is how I have got to this place in my life. I want to tell you this on the last day of this year because so many of you have been asking how I’m doing and often do not get a reply. It’s because I’ve been too scared to admit that the answer is, not very good. I feel like something is broken inside—something that has been echoed deeply by the few I have opened up to.”

Goulding ended her post saying: “I have so much love and energy for anyone going through this. Let’s get through this together. 2022 is going to be a bright year. Positive energy. Together. Signing off (for a bit) and sending so much love, as ever, to you all xx.”

Carrie Underwood makes surprise appearance on 'Cobra Kai'

Carrie Underwood fans watching season four of Cobra Kai got a surprise when the new episodes dropped on New Years Eve.

In episode nine of the Netflix series, the country superstar makes a guest appearance at the All-Valley Karate Championship, where all the loco dojos are competing. She performs a rendition of Survivor‘s “The Moment of Truth” that is featured in the original Karate Kid film.

Carrie made her love for the show known in August 2020 in a series of tweets, writing, “Just started watching #kobraKai on Netflix. Ummmm…it's kinda awesome!” Carrie quickly acknowledged that she spelled the title wrong, which led to a Twitter thread with some of the cast, including the original Karate Kid, Ralph Macchio, his series co-star, William Zabka, and one of the show’s creators, Jon Hurwitz.

Jacob Bertrand, who stars as “Hawk” in the Netflix show, says the cast found out days before that Carrie would be making an appearance.

“The writers were trying to think of people that they could have on to do the concert for the All-Valley and remembered that she’s a mega-fan of the show. They offered it to her and she was like, ‘Yes, of course I will. I would totally do it.’ That was really sweet of her,” Jacob tells People

“We knew a couple of days before when we read the script, but other than that, it was a complete shock to everybody. The background [actors] had no idea and they were freaking out when she came on,” he continues, describing the singer as “the nicest lady ever. …And she fricking killed it on the day. My God, she was belting.”

The night of the season premiere, Carrie donned an Eagle Fang Karate jacket that she got from the set.
