Maren Morris “lucked out” by marrying Ryan Hurd, “One of the most brilliant, thoughtful, kind humans”

It's been nearly four years since Maren Morris tied the knot with Ryan Hurd, and they've been navigated quite a few hurdles and milestones during that time. They've watched each other's careers rise, spent a pandemic together, welcomed a son, Hayes, and even scored a number-one duet with “Chasing After You.”

And while it certainly helps that Ryan and Maren are in the same industry, Maren says that's far from the only reason she feels she “lucked out” by marrying Ryan.

“I think even if he were a plumber, I would find this beautiful connection and common ground with him,” she reflects. “Because I think our morals and our priorities are the same.”

Plus, Maren adds, Ryan has helped her become a better communicator. “He doesn't let anything fester,” she says. “…He's pulled me out of my retreat-into-a-shell defiant stance and makes me talk my feelings out. So he's very special in that way, and I feel like he passed all those traits off onto our son.”

She adds, “He's one of the most brilliant, kind, thoughtful humans.”

Just in time for Valentine's Day, Maren released a new song last week called “Background Music,” which reflects on the impermanence of life and cherishes her relationships with loved ones –particularly Ryan.

Dolly Parton reveals her new Super Bowl ad with Miley Cyrus; continues rollout of her 'Run Rose Run' album

Dolly Parton continues her multi-faceted, prolific rollout of new material on Friday with not one but two brand-new releases.

ABC's Good Morning America debuted Dolly's upcoming Super Bowl T-Mobile ad series today, where the country legend appears alongside her pop star goddaughter Miley Cyrus for a two-part ad campaign revolving around their lighthearted pledge to #DoItForThePhones.

In Dolly's segment, she stars in a PSA-style ad spot urging customers to liberate their 5G phones from a limited 5G network by switching to T-Mobile.

“When I see a problem, I am going to fix it. America's got a serious problem, so I'm going to get it off my chest,” the singer says. “5G phones trapped on limited 5G networks. But you can make a difference.”

In the commercial's second half, Dolly calls on Miley for an anthemic musical call to #DoItForThePhones, with the younger star belting out an impassioned plea for phone users everywhere to make the switch.

On a more serious note, Dolly dropped the next single off her Run Rose Run album, which is a musical companion project to her upcoming new novel of the same name that she co-wrote with author James Patterson. The new song is called “Blue Bonnet Breeze,” and an animated lyric video for thee tune is out today, too.

Dolly's next album arrives March 4, and the novel follows on March 7. In the meantime, fans can catch her T-Mobile ad during the Super Bowl, which will take place this Sunday, February 13.

“Us Someday”: Thomas Rhett first shared his new song as a hot-off-the-presses acoustic clip back in 2020

Fans who've been paying close attention to Thomas Rhett's socials over the past couple of years may notice that there's something familiar about his new song, “Us Someday“: He first introduced it in 2020, posting video of himself playing it on acoustic guitar right after he wrote it.

The song comes off of TR’s upcoming release, Where We Started, which is due out on April 1. Like many of his songs, “Us Someday” documents a real-life moment with his wife, Lauren Akins.

“This song is sort of talking to Lauren at 19 years old telling her, I know you think this is crazy, but I believe all of these things are going to happen for us,'” Thomas recounts. “And now here we are, over 10 years later, and most of those things actually happened, which is just the wildest thing.”

Unlike the earliest version, which features only his acoustic guitar and voice, the studio version of “Us Someday” is full of romantic strings and backing vocals, making it the perfect pre-Valentine's Day release.

Dustin Lynch rounds up his buddies for “Party Mode” as his new album, 'Blue in the Sky,' arrives

Dustin Lynch's new album, Blue in the Sky, arrived on Friday, and along with it comes a new single and music video.

In “Party Mode,” the singer takes an alcohol-fueled getaway to run from his heartbreak, complete with “Drinking every single drink, seven night a week, all over this town.” It's a party anthem with a darker lyrical subtext, but the music video focuses on the song's fun side.

In the clip, Dustin joins forces with his real-life buddies Cornbread and Corbin Wilson for a post-breakup tropical escape.

From start to finish, Blue in the Sky is filled with elements from the singer's real life. Not only does it feature his friends, but in the music video, the gang take a ride in a small plane — when he's not making music, Dustin's studying to get his pilot's license.

“Party Mode” is the next single off Blue in the Sky, following the multi-week number-one hit, “Thinking Bout You.” It also lends his name to Dustin’s Party Mode Tour, which kicks off March 17.

Chris Lane asks “Howdy” in his new song, which is another love tribute to his wife Lauren

Chris Lane has officially been a dad since welcoming his baby boy Dutton in mid-2021, Now, he's proving that his dad joke game is strong: His new song, “Howdy,” is a play on words, juxtaposing the title against sentiments like “How'd he ever let you go?” and “How'd he ever walk away?”

Though Chris didn't write the song — it was penned by Sam Ellis, John Byron and Blake Pendergrass — it's reminiscent of his real-life story of meeting Lauren Bushnell.

Back before the country star and his now-wife got together, Lauren was a contestant on The Bachelor in 2016, and during the season finale, she got engaged to Ben Higgins on the show. Their romance came to an end the following May, and Lauren subsequently found her happy ending with Chris, who's previously used her as a creative muse for songs like “Big Big Plans.”

Since they first said “Howdy,” the couple have been inseparable, tying the knot in late 2019 and becoming parents in 2021.

As Chris continues his Fill Them Boots Tour, he's also excited about his new song's uptempo feel and potential as a live show hit.

“Howdy' is a fun one — the play on words is super clever, and it's going to be a great addition to my set list on tour,” Chris notes.

Last December, Chris released another new song, “Stop Coming Over.”
