A statement on the venue’s website reads:  “Due to positive COVID results within the ‘Justice Tour’ family, we will unfortunately have to postpone Sunday’s show in Las Vegas. Luke Bryan's mom hits the town for his Las Vegas residency: “The eagle has landed”

Luke Bryan kicked off his Las Vegas residency last week, and he's got shows booked for Friday night as well as through the weekend.

There also will be a VIP guest in the audience for his upcoming dates: His mom, LeClaire, is officially in town, according to the singer's social media.

“The eagle has landed,” Luke captioned a recent post, along with an image of his mother with a beer in front of her and a cigarette in hand.

Over the years, LeClaire has become a star in her own right, becoming the beloved “Mama” to Luke's enormous fan base, thanks to her hilarious social media presence and frequent participation in family pranks.

In an interview with ABC's Good Morning America earlier this month, Luke confirmed that his mom would indeed be joining him in Vegas. “What's the big shopping center out here? Crystals and all that? Yeah, my credit card will be in flames come Friday,” the singer joked.

Luke's residency is taking place at the city's Resorts World Theatre. He's booked throughout February, with another batch of shows scheduled for June and even more dates into the early fall of 2022.

“Can't Have Mine”: Dylan Scott keeps the ball rolling with another new song after announcing his next album

Hot on the heels of an album announcement on Thursday, Dylan Scott is keeping the momentum going by releasing his romantic new song, “Can't Have Mine.”

Addressed to all the guys out there looking for their one true love, Dylan advises them to find a girl who “gets wild on the town but still loves Jesus,” and is “worth the wait even when she ain't on time.” There's just one caveat — they can't have his girl.

The girl in question, of course, is Dylan's wife, Blair, who makes an appearance alongside the singer in the lyric video for his new song. The pair have been together since Dylan was 15, but they once briefly took a break from their relationship, and that miserable three months inspired his current single, “New Truck.”

Both “New Truck” and “Can't Have Mine” will appear on Dylan's upcoming new album, Livin' My Best Life, which will be out in August. He's also hitting the road for his Livin' My Best Life Tour next week.

Brett Young's wife stars as the one that got away in his painful “You Didn't” music video

Brett Young enlisted the help of a very special co-star to make his newest music video: His wife, Taylor.

In the video for his song “You Didn’t,” Brett plays the role of a guy who's had his heartbroken, and Taylor is the one who got away, appearing as a ghost and then fading away as soon as he reaches out for her. In the video, Brett is tormented by painful memories of the relationship, finally crawling into bed with a picture of himself and Taylor taken during happier times.

Taylor was an appropriate choice to play the role of Brett's ex. Though they're happily married now, the pair once went through a two-year-long hiatus when he first moved to Nashville to pursue country music.

Fortunately, they're now back together and happier than ever: Brett and Taylor got married in 2018 and are now parents to two daughters, two-and-a-half-year-old Presley and six-month-old Rowan.

“Fishin' on a River”: Jake Owen trades in his tackle box for a tear in his beer in this new heartbreak song

Jake Owen dropped the next installment off an as-yet-unannounced new album today, and it's a deceptively up-tempo song about heartbreak.

Called “Fishin' on a River,” the song is about a guy who's got big plans for a day of fishing — that is, until his love interest throws him a curveball by deciding to call it quits.

“I don't know where it all went wrong / But all I know is that girl's gone / And a honey hole ain't gonna help me forget her / So I'm sitting in a bar instead of fishin' on a river,” Jake sings in the chorus.

Jake says it was that unexpected twist that first made him fall in love with the track, which was written by David Fanning, Cole Taylor and Drew Parker.

“When you first hear the title, you'd think it's a good ole country anthem about fishin' with the boys,” he explains. “Instead, it's a love-done-gone, sway-along track that most everyone can relate. Here's to the brokenhearted chasing their blues away with Jack and Rye instead of bass and fishing line.”

Jake's new song follows the release of his current single, “Best Thing Since Backroads.” Keep your eyes peeled for more new music from Jake in the months ahead.

Florida House of Representatives approves ban on abortions for women pregnant 15 weeks or longer

The Florida House of Representatives approved a ban on abortions for women who have been pregnant for 15 weeks or longer without exceptions for rape or incest — a nine-week difference from current legislation. Lawmakers debated for five hours and 27 minutes on Wednesday night before passing the state’s most restrictive abortion law since 1973’s Roe vs. Wade decision early Thursday morning,

Florida law currently prohibits abortions for women who have been pregnant for 24 weeks or longer. The new bill — titled ‘CS/HB 5: Reducing Fetal and Infant Mortality’ — was filed by Rep. Erin Grall, R-Vero Beach, on Jan. 11 and cleared by two subcommittees.  The bill has no exceptions for rape, incest, coercion or mental health. It only allows abortions after 15 weeks as an emergency procedure to save the mother’s life or if there’s risk of physical impairment if the pregnancy is carried to full term. Physicians who perform abortions after 15 weeks would be guilty of a third-degree felony.

The bill now awaits approval from the Senate before its final stop at the governor’s desk.

Judge says former-President Trump, children Ivanka and Don Jr, must testify in New York AG probe

A New York judge ruled on Thursday that former U.S. President Donald Trump and two of his adult children, Ivanka Trump and Donald Trump Jr.,  must answer questions under oath within 21 days in the state attorney general’s civil probe into their family company. Justice Arthur Engoron of the New York state court in Manhattan ruled in favor of Attorney General Letitia James in directing Trump, his son Donald Trump Jr and his daughter Ivanka Trump to testify.

Judge Engoron said James had “the clear right” to issue her subpoenas and question the Trumps after having uncovered “copious evidence of possible financial fraud.”  He wrote that failing to issue subpoenas “would have been a blatant dereliction of duty (and would have broken an oft-repeated campaign promise).”  AG James said in a statement:  “Today, justice prevailed. No one will be permitted to stand in the way of the pursuit of justice, no matter how powerful they are. No one is above the law.”

The decision followed a two-hour hearing in which Trumps’ lawyers accused James of doing an end run around their clients’ constitutional rights by seeking testimony she could then use against them in a parallel criminal investigation. Last month, James said her nearly three-year investigation into the Trump Organization had uncovered significant evidence of possible fraud. She described what she called misleading statements about the values of the “Trump Brand” and six Trump properties, saying the company may have inflated real estate values to obtain bank loans and reduced them to lower tax bills.

Lawyers for Donald Trump did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Alan Futerfas, a lawyer for Donald Trump Jr and Ivanka Trump, declined to comment. Washington D.C.’s attorney general is separately suing the Trump Organization and Trump’s inaugural committee over the alleged misuse of $1.1 million of charitable funds. A Sept. 26 trial date was set on Thursday.
