Kenny Chesney's “Everyone She Knows” video tips its hat to women who go their own way

A woman with an independent streak is the star of the show in the music video for Kenny Chesney's new single, “Everyone She Knows.”

The clip follows a woman who's at home on the road, driving through jaw-dropping scenes of mountainsides, beach towns and the Grand Canyon in her Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van.

“I have been surrounded by strong women who lead these lives on their own terms my whole life,” says Kenny of the inspiration behind the song. “Nothing is more powerful or interesting than a woman who has a sense of her destiny and is willing to go chase it. It's not always conventional, but that's what makes their passion so much stronger.”

Fans will get a chance to see “Everyone She Knows” get the live treatment during Kenny's upcoming Here and Now 2022 Tour, which launches in late April in Tampa, Florida. The song follows “Knowing You,” Kenny’s latest chart-topping single.

Zac Brown Band go way “Out in the Middle” for a new music video celebrating the country life

Going fishing, riding four-wheelers and throwing something on the grill that you caught yourself: It's all just part of the beauty of life “Out in the Middle.”

“It has the pulsating sound and feeling your heart gets when you're adventuring the great outdoors and your adrenaline starts pumping,” he says. “We combined our old school country roots and Southern rock style, creating an ode to our country pride and life's simple pleasures.”

For a live taste of the ZBB style, pick up tickets to a show on their upcoming Out in the Middle Tour. The run kicks off in late April.

Federal regulators extend mask mandate for all commercial flights and other public transportation

On Thursday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Transportation Security Administration announced that a COVID-19 mandate that requires all passengers to wear masks on commercial flights is being extended until at least mid-April.

The mandate had been set to expire on March 18, but the extension now delays that deadline until April 18.  The federal mask requirement applies to airports, commercial flights, buses and passenger rail systems.

The TSA said it made the decision based on a recommendation from the CDC, saying in a statement: “CDC will work with government agencies to help inform a revised policy framework for when, and under what circumstances, masks should be required in the public transportation corridor. This revised framework will be based on the COVID-19 community levels, risk of new variants, national data, and the latest science. We will communicate any updates publicly if and/or when they change.”

Tentative $83M settlement is reached for victims of Florida condo collapse

A tentative $83 million settlement has been reached for owners who survived the Surfside condo collapse in South Florida.  The partial collapse of the 12-story Champlain Towers South condo building on June 24, 2021, in Surfside, Fla., near Miami Beach, killed 98 people, destroyed 55 condominium units, and the remainder of the 136-unit building had to be demolished.

A class action suit was filed by victims whose family members died in the collapse and victims who suffered economic harm, against defendants including developers, engineers, inspectors and consultants.  The dispute between the victims of property loss and the families of non-owners who lost their lives in the collapse with some of the families of those who died believing that they should receive full compensation before other people are compensated for property claims.

Circuit Judge Michael Hanzman’s order grants preliminary approval to the settlement agreement between property claims and wrongful death or personal injury claims. The agreement creates an $83 million Common Fund to compensate unit owners for the loss of their condominium units and contents, in exchange for relieving them from any liability in the injury and wrongful death claims, according to the document.  The judge wrote:  “Unit owners will receive $55 million of the first $100 million recovered from all sources. The remaining $33 million will be paid out of the first dollars recovered over $100 million. All other funds will inure solely for the benefit of wrongful death claimants…..Absent some defect being brought to the court’s attention, it is highly likely to secure final approval.”  The final approval hearing is slated for 2 p.m. on March 30 at the Miami Dade County Children’s Courthouse.

Parker McCollum's probably not going to sing at his wedding: “It's my day off”

Fresh from his New Male Artist of the Year win at the ACM Awards, Parker McCollum's got another big moment to look forward to: His wedding to his fiancée, Hallie Ray Light, is just a few weeks away.

The singer has drawn plenty of musical inspiration from his love life in the past, and he's even got a song titled after his bride-to-be's name. But Parker won't be taking the stage to sing at his own wedding — unless the price is right, he jokes.

“Yeah, it's my day off,” he explained backstage at the ACMs. “I told my fiancée's dad, I said, Man, if you wanna write that check, I'll sing.' But I don't think I'm going to.”

Parker may not be singing at his wedding, but his voice is certainly in demand at country radio. His current single, “To Be Loved By You,” is in the number-two spot on the country chart. If it hits #1, it'll be his second chart-topping hit, followed by his breakout debut, “Pretty Heart.”
