Kylie Morgan has debuted the video for her new single, “Independent.”
Carly Pearce is giving back to her local community with a major donation.
During her show at Marathon Music Works in Nashville earlier this month, Carly announced that she was donating a portion of the proceeds to help people in her home state of Kentucky who were impacted by the storms in March.
True to her word, the singer donated $10,000 through the Nashville-based Music Has Value Fund to the Kentucky Music Educators Association in partnership with the National Association for Music Education, specifically for the Mayfield, KY school music programs. The family of Phil Noel, Carly’s bass player, lives in Mayfield, one of the towns that was hit hardest by the storm.
“I am grateful to have had the support of my strong Kentucky lineage and embrace from true lovers of Country music so it's an honor to help give back to the community that raised me. This donation from the Music Has Value Fund is a way to uplift some other dreamers in the face of chaos,” Carly shares in a statement.
Inside 29: Written in Stone Live From Music City will be released later this year.
One lucky young fan in the audience at Garth Brooks‘ show in Nashville this weekend got the opportunity of a lifetime.
While onstage at Nissan Stadium, Garth spotted seven-year-old Charles sitting in the front row, offering him a handshake as he took the sign Charles was holding that shared that he knew the lyrics to Garth’s 1993 hit, “Standing Outside the Fire.”
“You have been practicing my songs? Do you sing by any chance?” Garth asked the kid, getting the crowd riled up for what happened next.
Garth then found an extra microphone that he handed to the young fan, who was dressed in a cowboy hat and a Garth Brooks-esque shirt. “If you’re going to be a real, big time singer, you’ve already got the look. You look fantastic,” Garth praised, then got the crowd to chant Charles’ name in support.
As Garth played guitar, Charles belted out the lyrics alongside him, the two duetting as the crowd sang along.
Garth headlined two nights at Nissan Stadium over the weekend, and announcing before the shows that his new bar in downtown Nashville will be named after his signature hit, “Friends in Low Places.”

Blake Sheltonreally got into the Easter spirit this year.
In an Instagram video posted on Sunday, the country superstar is unrecognizable at first as he shamelessly walks down the hallway in a giant pink Easter bunny outfit, complete with bunny ears on top and slippers on his feet. Blake doesn’t say anything as he makes his way toward the camera with a big smile on his face, with the sound of cheering and laughter heard in the background.
“Happy Easter everybody. You’re welcome,” Blake captioned the humorous clip that was also shared by his wife, Gwen Stefani, who had a punny comeback. “Hoppy #Easter from me + the easter blakey,” she wrote.
Gwen also shared photos of her husband in the bright pink ensemble on her Instagram Stories. The couple spent Easter weekend at their home with Gwen’s three sons and other family members, including her father.
Two youths were killed and at least eight others were injured during a shooting a party at a short-term rental property in Pittsburgh early Sunday morning. Sunday’s shooting occurred in Pittsburgh’s East Allegheny neighborhood, also known as Deutschtown, on the city’s North Side. Pittsburgh police said that more than 200 people, many underage, were inside the Airbnb rental when the shooting occurred around 12:30 a.m. Pittsburgh Police Chief Scott Schubert said Sunday during a press conference that at least one of the gunshot victims was as young as 14 years old; however, he did not identify the two deceased victims.
No arrests were immediately reported, but Police Chief Schubert said “it is our top priority to find out who did this and get them off the street,” adding that they believe there were multiple shooters.
The Pittsburgh shooting was one of three high-profile shootings over Easter weekend. In Hampton County, South Carolina at least nine people were injured in a shooting at a club; and 14 people were hurt when gunfire erupted at a crowded Columbia, South Carolina, mall on Saturday.
Pittsburgh Mayor Ed Gainey released a statement following the shooting Sunday: “At least 10 gunshot victims, two lives lost, and hundreds of lives forever changed, because we have yet to pass meaningful legislation to lessen the amount of guns in our streets or provide the much-needed resources to communities desperately in need. The time is now for us to move with a sense of urgency to bring justice to the victims and peace to our city.”
Authorities in South Carolina have confirmed a shooting early Sunday morning at a club in Hampton County that left at least nine people injured. The State Law Enforcement Division said there were no reported fatalities in the Easter morning shooting at the club in Hampton County, and as of press time no information was immediately available on the severity of the injuries. South Carolina’s State Law Enforcement Division is investigating the early Sunday shooting at Cara’s Lounge in Hampton County, which is roughly 80 miles west of Charleston. A phone call to the nightclub was not answered.
It was the second mass shooting in the state in as many days. A day earlier, gunfire erupted at a busy mall in the state capital of Columbia, where nine people were shot and five people were injured while trying to flee the scene at Columbiana Centre. The victims in that shooting ranged in age from 15 to 73.
Carly Pearce is always striving for new career heights, and she'll be learning from the best when she hits the road with Kenny Chesney for his Here and Now Tour this summer.
As a live act, Kenny's reputation precedes him: He's known for high-energy shows and one of the genre's most enthusiastic fan bases, which he's dubbed No Shoes Nation.
“I've never experienced it. Obviously, I've heard of the unbelievable tour that that is, and the entity that the No Shoes Nation family is,” Carly tells ABC Audio ahead of the tour. “I feel so lucky and excited he's bringing me out. I'm such a fan, so I'm really just excited, as a fan, to fangirl.”
One of country music's hardest-working artists, Carly also says she's already got her sights set on the follow-up to her September 2021 album, 29: Written in Stone.
“I've started to write for it, and I feel like I'm starting to really get some songs for it,” Carly hints, going on to say that she wants to make sure she brings her A-game to every record — and that takes preparation.
“I feel like you have to plan ahead so that you can keep things rolling and I always want to set the bar higher,” she continues. “So I'm excited about it.”
Meanwhile, Carly's duet with Ashley McBryde, “Never Wanted to Be That Girl,” is steadily making its way up the chart. The song is currently inside country radio's top ten.
Morgan Wallen and his More Than My Hometown Foundation has donated $25,000 to aid in the Smoky Mountain wildfires, specifically providing aid to the Sevier County wildfires disaster relief efforts in the form of hot meals for relief workers, mobile food pantries, clothing, and supplies for the communities in the affected wildfire areas near Wallen’s hometown of Sneedville, Tenn. Sneedville is located about 70 miles from the area of the two wildfires in Sevier County that impacted at least 300 structures and burned more than 3,000 acres. The fires also caused more than 11,000 homes to be evacuated from the area; hundreds of personnel including firefighters, hot shot crews, state and local incident commanders as well as volunteers have worked the fires.
Greater Good Music is an organization that brings music artists and volunteers working on the ground together in order to help communities in need on concert tours and in disaster zones around the United States. Sheila Jones, executive director of Greater Good Music, said: “We are so grateful to Morgan for helping us provide hot meals to firefighters and first responders in the fire zone, as well as assist families that have been displaced and in need of food, clothing, and supplies.”
Wallen’s More Than My Hometown Foundation was established by the country artist in 2021. According to More Than My Hometown Foundation, $3 from every ticket sold in Wallen’s current 58-show “The Dangerous Tour” benefits the foundation for continued community service.
