Drunk, And I Don't Wanna Go Home: Miranda Lambert makes surprise appearance at Nashville bar

Miranda Lambert gave fans the ultimate treat with a surprise performance at her Nashville bar, Casa Rosa.

In lieu of attending the Grammy Awards on Sunday night, Miranda instead headed down to Broadway to watch her friend and backup singer, Gwen Sebastian, and new country artist Krystal Steel perform live at Casa Rosa. The hit singer shared a video on Instagram Stories of Gwen singing a cover of her early hit, “Kerosene.” But Miranda wasn’t merely a bystander, as she also hopped onstage for a surprise appearance.

Video captured by fans who were at Casa Rosa show Miranda delivering a performance of her current radio hit with Elle King, “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home),” to a packed house that loudly sang along with her.

Casa Rosa opened in 2021, making Miranda the first female country artist to own a bar and restaurant on Nashville’s Broadway, following in the footsteps of her peers Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan and others.

Jimmie Allen gets personal with new album, 'Tulip Drive'

Jimmie Allen is releasing a new album in June.

Following his appearance at the Grammy Awards Sunday, the country superstar has announced that Tulip Drive will be released on June 24. Its lead single, “Down Home,” is currently climbing the charts.

Like Jimmie’s debut album, the title holds personal meaning, as Tulip Drive is the name of the street his late grandmother grew up on in Lewes, DE. His first album, Mercury Lane, was named after the street he grew up on in his hometown of Milton, DE. Follow-up EPs Bettie James and Bettie James Gold Edition were named in honor of his late grandmother, Bettie, and father, James.

The hit singer says that many of the songs on the new project are inspired from real-life experiences when Jimmie was in high school and college at a time when he was “learning a lot of life lessons from my grandmother,” and is using the title as a way to honor her memory.

“A lot of the songs on this album are from that time period. This is the first album where a lot of the songs are actually written based off a lot of my own personal life experiences – from relationships, the hardships of life, to the parties & the good times,” he shares in a statement.

Jimmie’s Down Home Tour concludes on May 21. He’ll also headline the second annual Bettie James Fest in Milton on August 13.

“We will never forget this day”: Brothers Osborne, Carrie Underwood react to Grammy wins

Brothers Osborne and Carrie Underwood are reflecting on the weight of their Grammy Award wins.

Brothers Osborne, the duo of John and TJ Osborne, took home their first Grammy Sunday night for Best Country Duo/Group Performance, for “Younger Me.” The brothers got emotional onstage while accepting the award during the pre-show, as the song was inspired by TJ’s coming out journey after sharing publicly that he is gay in February 2021.

After accepting the award, the twosome turned to Instagram to share more about their win.

“We have so many people to thank but if there are two people that deserve notoriety it’s our younger selves. Little TJ and John stuck it out as awkward teenagers and proved what they were certain would happened and what their older selves probably doubted,” the duo wrote, adding that “it took years of grinding and hard work” to get here. “We will never forget this day for as long as we live. Thank you all for sticking it out with us through everything.”

Carrie also walked away a winner, as her album, My Savior, picked up the Grammy for Best Roots Gospel Album. “I love this album ( #MySavior ) so much and I truly believe it is the most important album I have ever made! Thanks to all who supported! I am eternally grateful!” she wrote alongside a photo of herself backstage, proudly holding the trophy.

The superstar also performed her new single, “Ghost Story,” live for the first time, while Brothers Osborne tore up the Grammys stage with “Dead Man’s Curve.”

Chris Stapleton walked away as the most winning country act of the night for Best Country Album, Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance.

Among the night’s big winners were Jon Batiste, who took home Album of the Year for We Are. Olivia Rodrigo took home Best Pop Vocal Album for Sour, and also won Best New Artist.  Silk Sonic, comprised of Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak, won Song of the Year and Record of the Year for “Leave the Door Open.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed viewers at home in a pre-recorded video, where he spoke about Russia invading his country and the ongoing conflict, saying in part: “Our musicians wear body armor instead of tuxedos. They sing to the wounded. In hospitals. Even to those who can’t heart them. But the music will break through anyway. We defend our freedom. To live. To love. To sound. Our land, we are fighting Russia, which brings horrible silence with its bombs. The dead silence. Fill the silence with your music! Fill it today. To tell our story. Tell the truth about this war on your social networks, on TV. Support us in any way you can. Any, but not silence, and peace will come.”

Respects were paid to the late Taylor Hawkins, drummer of the Foo Fighters, who died on March 25. Foo Fighters were supposed to perform during the show, but canceled because of Hawkins’ recent death. A video was shown highlighting Hawkins’ career before the Grammys launched into its annual In Memorial segment, which paid homage to all of those in the music industry who have died over the past year, including Dusty Hill of ZZ Top, DMX, Biz Markie, Stephen Sondheim and more.
