Sam Hunt and wife Hannah Lee Fowler welcome baby girl

Sam Hunt and his wife Hannah Lee Fowler have welcomed their first child together, a baby girl named Lucy Lu. The news was announced by the country singer himself on Tuesday during his performance at the Stars for Second Harvest charity concert in Nashville.

In a TikTok video from the charity concert, Hunt can be seen on the Ryman Auditorium stage, saying, “I recently had a baby girl named Lucy Lu,”  adding, “I think being out here, and in the music business and being out on the road, has sort of hardened my heart. My heart’s definitely a lot harder in a lotta ways since I left that small town. It’s amazing how that little girl melted that all away overnight a couple of weeks ago. I’ve been filled with a lot of gratitude these past couple of weeks. I just want to say up here on the Ryman stage how grateful I am to have been a part of country music for the last 10 years.”

The couple were married in April 2017; Fowler was the inspiration behind the country singers’ album, Montevallo, which he named after Fowler’s hometown. The happy news of the birth of their daughter comes weeks after a judge had signed off on Fowler’s request to call off her divorce from Hunt.  Fowler had filed for divorce back in February, but then withdrew her initial complaints hours later and then was quickly refiled the same day in a different County. The judge had approved the request back in April.

Brothers Osborne celebrate Pride Month with a digital EP compiling four songs

Brothers Osborne have compiled four songs for a digital EP to celebrate Pride Month. The collection includes two fan-favorite love songs, the nostalgic “21 Summer” and “Pushing Up Daisies (Love Alive).”

Also on the track list is “I'm Not For Everyone,” the duo's song celebrating diversity and the power of being yourself — even if that means you don't fit in with the mainstream.

Rounding out the track list is “Younger Me,” the duo's emotional message to their younger selves. They released the song in 2021, shortly after singer TJ Osborne came out as gay, becoming the first artist signed to a major country label to do so.

Revisiting older material has special power for TJ since he came out. He has said that “21 Summer” is more meaningful to him now, since it was based on a real-life breakup that he experienced, but couldn't talk about, because no one knew he was gay at the time.

“To finally be able to play it and talk about that — there’s probably more depth to that song than people even realize,” TJ told ABC Audio back in February. “To be able to talk about that now, it feels like the shackles are off.”

You can pick up Brothers Osborne's new EP at digital retailers.

Carly Pearce shrugs off naysayers who say her music gets too personal: “That's my duty”

Carly Pearce's latest single, “What He Didn't Do,” is about as personal and specific as it gets. The chorus is a laundry list of all the reasons why a relationship ended in a breakup.

Her significant other, she sings in the song, didn't “Treat me right, put me first / Be a man of his word / Stay home cause he wanted to,” and so much more. It's easy to read Carly's personal, and very public, story into those lyrics: In 2020, she divorced fellow artist Michael Ray after eight months of marriage.

And while some might suggest that Carly shouldn't inject too much of her own story into her music, the singer says in an interview with her record label that as a songwriter, she's got a mandate to tell the truth.

“People might think that I write too much of my story, but for me, that's my duty,” she says. “And I feel like when I am writing my story I am writing other people's story, and this song proves it.”

The single — which comes off her 29: Written in Stone album and follows her chart-topping duet with Ashley McBryde, “Never Wanted to Be That Girl” — is one of the most-requested songs on the album, Carly says.

“I've never had a song that just — organically, socially — people ask for it in everything that I do,” she says. “Whether it's online or in a tweet or in a DM or if I'm doing an interview, or radio stations have asked me about it.”

Truth-telling has been a major theme throughout Carly's current album cycle, and that authenticity has paid off. She recently became a member of the Grand Ole Opry.

Sam Hunt, wife Hannah Lee Fowler are parents to a baby girl

Sam Hunt has a whole lot to celebrate these days. The singer says that he and his wife, Hannah Lee Fowler, recently welcomed a baby girl.

He shared the news during a show at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium on Tuesday night. He also shared her name with the crowd: Per E! Online, Sam's daughter is named Lucy Lu, though the spelling isn't entirely clear since the singer announced the name verbally.

What is clear, however, is that Sam is feeling a lot of gratitude as he embraces his new role as a father.

“I think being out here, and in the music business and being out on the road, has sort of hardened my heart,” the singer said, according to fan-captured video of the moment. “My heart's definitely harder in a lot of ways since I left that small town. It's amazing how that little girl melted that all away overnight a couple of weeks ago.”

He added, “I've been filled with a lot of gratitude these past couple of weeks and I just want to say up here on the Ryman stage how grateful I am to have been a part of country music for the last 10 years.”

Fans first learned that Sam and Hannah Lee were expecting a baby when the country star's wife filed for divorce back in February, citing “inappropriate marital conduct” and “adultery.” The paperwork revealed that their baby was due in May, though the couple have not yet said when little Lucy was born.

Just weeks before the arrival of their baby, the pair seemed to reconcile, and Hannah Lee filed to call off divorce proceedings.

Miranda Lambert is finally going to live the road trip she dreamed up on 'Palomino'

Miranda Lambert's latest album, Palomino, is full of fictional characters living out their nomadic dreams in far-flung spots across the U.S. The singer wrote the material for her album during the pandemic, living vicariously through her musical travelers while she was quarantined at home.

Now, Miranda tells People that she's got plans to finally make those dreams a reality. After she finishes The Bandwagon Tour — a co-headlining run with Little Big Town — in July, she's hopping in her camper van with her husband, Brendan McLoughlin.

“Everyone's like, So you're gonna get right off the bus and right into a camper.' But it's such a different way of seeing the world,” the singer points out.

“It's through a windshield, but it's with freedom versus pulling into a parking lot where I wait all day, play a show, then roll to the next town,” she continues. “This is like a way to actually see things. I've always said I've been everywhere and seen nothing, which is kind of part of what I do.”

The Bandwagon Tour kicked off May 6, and it continues Thursday with a stop in Wantagh, New York.

One confirmed dead, multiple injured in separate climbing incidents at California’s Mount Shasta

Authorities confirmed that one climber is dead, and several others were injured in separate incidents on Northern California’s Mount Shasta on Monday during “very tough conditions”. Mount Shasta is a potentially active volcano and a major peak of the Cascade Range. It has an elevation of 14,179 feet.

The Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office said rescuers responded to three incidents on the mountain near the Oregon border over the course of several hours. The fatal incident involving three climbers was reported at 8:39 a.m. around Avalanche Gulch, which authorities described as a snowy glacier climb on the mountain. One climber was confirmed dead before rescue efforts could be performed, the sheriff’s office said. The second climber in this incident was in critical condition while a third was recovering from injuries that included a broken ankle.

A second incident occurred around Avalanche Gulch at 12:31 p.m., with rescue crews airlifting one climber in critical condition to safety. The sheriff’s office said that in yet another separate incident, a fifth climber was rescued around 4 p.m. after suffering injuries on the mountain. A helicopter crew located her and airlifted her to a hospital.

The sheriff’s office later posted a climbing advisory video with another climber describing the conditions on the mountain as “very tough.”  In the video, Wallace Casper of Bozeman, Montana said a lot of people were slipping and sliding due to a layer of water ice on top of the snowpack, conditions which he said make it “pretty much impossible to self-arrest” as a skier.
