Federal Judge orders Justice Dept. to release redacted Mar-a-Lago search affidavit by Friday

On Thursday, a federal judge ruled that the Justice Department must release a redacted version of the warrant affidavit for the search of former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence. U.S. Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart ordered the public release of the affidavit by noon Friday.

Judge Reinhart ordered the Justice Department to send him proposed redactions last week for the document by Thursday. The department said unsealing the document would compromise the investigation into Trump’s handling of potentially classified documents that he took with him to his Palm Beach, Fla., residence when he left the White House. U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland said releasing the affidavit would reveal probable cause that led prosecutors to believe a crime had been committed, and that evidence might be found at Mar-a-Lago.

On Thursday, Reinhart said the Justice Department convinced him that portions of the affidavit should remain sealed because “disclosure would reveal (1) the identities of witnesses, law enforcement agents, and uncharged parties, (2) the investigation’s strategy direction, scope, sources, and methods, and (3) grand jury information.”  He added: “I further find that the government has met its burden showing that its proposed redactions are narrowly tailored to serve the government’s legitimate interest in the integrity of the ongoing investigation and are the least onerous alternative to sealing the entire affidavit.”

2 plead guilty in scheme to sell Ashley Biden’s diary

Prosecutors said on Thursday that two Florida residents have pleaded guilty in a scheme to sell a diary and other items belonging to President Joe Biden’s daughter, Ashely Biden, to the conservative group Project Veritas for $40,000. Ashley Biden, a 41-year-old social worker, is the daughter of the president and first lady Jill Biden.

Manhattan U.S. Attorney Damian Williams’ office said in a statement that Aimee Harris and Robert Kurlander pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit interstate transportation of stolen property:  “Harris and Kurlander sought to profit from their theft of another person’s personal property, and they now stand convicted of a federal felony as a result.” While authorities didn’t identify Ashley Biden or the organization that paid, the details of the investigation have been laid out in court filings and public statements from Project Veritas.

Prosecutors said in a court filing that Ashley Biden was moving out of a friend’s Delray Beach, Florida, home in spring 2020 when she stored the diary, tax records, a digital device with family photos, a cellphone and other items there.  Harris then moved into the same room, stole the items and got in touch with Kurlander, who contacted Project Veritas, which asked for photos of the material and then paid for the two to bring it to New York. The activist group, which considers itself a news organization, paid the two $20,000 apiece, prosecutors said.

Project Veritas said it turned the journal over to law enforcement and never did anything illegal. Founder James O’Keefe has said that Project Veritas ultimately did not publish information from the diary because it could not confirm it belonged to Ashley Biden.

Keith Urban recounts how Ingrid Andress' performance blew him away: “I was just floored”

Keith Urban is a big fan of Ingrid Andress these days and he gets to see her onstage quite a lot — the younger star is opening for his The Speed of Now World Tour.

Ingrid got her start as a songwriter, and her impressive writing skills were the first thing that caught Keith's ear. “She's the real deal,” he affirms, saying that he first start hearing her work while she was putting together the track list for her debut album, Lady Like.

“And then, of course, I heard [her chart-topping single More Hearts than Mine' and I knew that this is a serious songwriter,” Keith continues. “With real perspective, fresh take on things.”

But it wasn't until he saw her open a show for him in Las Vegas that Keith truly became a superfan. Originally, he admits, he'd been disappointed to learn that she was playing her set solo with only a piano.

“I was like, Oh no, I need people to get the crowd going,'” he remembers. “And she completely floored me because she's such a great storyteller onstage. And the way she connected with the audience — I stood side stage, and I was just floored at how good she was and how much the audience loved her.”

Then and there, he asked Ingrid to join him on the whole tour. As an opening act on one of Keith's tours, Ingrid is following in the footsteps of another talented newcomer turned superstar.

“She's just one of those artists that is going to get better and better and better. It was the same thing when Maren Morris came out and opened for us,” he explains. “She's passionate. She's hungry. Got a great sense of humor. And she's a superb songwriter.”

Ingrid's new album, Good Person, is out Friday.

Ahead of the taping of his Apple Music Live concert at Coyote Joe’s in Charlotte, North Carolina, Luke Comb sat down with Kelleigh Bannen to discuss his latest project Growin’ Up, and how he has changed over the course of the last few years. During the interview, Combs also revealed that he suffers from anxiety and “crippling” obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), but things have changed for the better since the birth of his son, Tex Lawrence.

Said Combs: “There’s stuff that used to matter as far as the things that you worry about, you just don’t really worry about that stuff anymore. I mean, and almost instantly. Really… Like, you’re just kind of like, ‘Don’t care about that. Don’t care’ And I was fine before, but I did tend to have pretty tremendous anxiety at times in my life.”

Combs shared that he has a new outlook on life: “In a lot of ways, it’s just looking at things… I look at things now in ways that I never would’ve been able to before. And even before the kid. After getting married and then spending a lot of time at home during COVID. Just a bunch of stuff happened. It was time to process all of this craziness that’s happened in my career, too. I mean, that’s important.”

Combs will also be hitting the road this fall on his headlining Middle Of Somewhere Tour with direct support from Jordan Davis. The trek, which kicks off on September 2 in Bangor, ME, will also feature special guests Morgan Wade and Lainey Wilson on select dates.

Jon Pardi says 'Mr. Saturday Night' will include a Luke Bryan collab, but not until the deluxe version comes out

Jon Pardi is planning to release a collaboration with Luke Bryan — eventually.

During a Country Countdown USA appearance, while discussing his upcoming Mr. Saturday Night album, Jon decided to drop some hints about his long game for the record, which features an eventual deluxe album that will include a mega-watt duet.

“I'm gonna drop a little hint that the Mr. Saturday Night deluxe version coming out next year will have Luke Bryan on it,” he detailed. “I'm pretty excited about it. It's a very country song.”

That should be no surprise to Jon's fans, who know him as a bit of a neo-traditionalist, but Luke sometimes catches flak from classic country fans who think his music strays from the genre's roots. This collab will prove them all wrong, Jon hints.

“When we recorded it, he said to me, You might make the traditional people like me now, because it's country,'” he continues. “It's one of my favorites, and it was meant for me and Luke to sing. It's not about a girl, but it's about hard work. I think it's gonna be a big song.”

In the meantime, fans can look forward to the first release of Mr. Saturday Night, which features the Midland duet “Longneck Way to Go.”

Mickey Guyton's next song, “Somethin' Bout You,” is an ode to her husband: “I wrote it about him”

Mickey Guyton is getting romantic in her next song, “Somethin' Bout You”: The singer says it's a personal message of love to her husband, Grant Savoy.

“That man is my biggest fan and he loves the song. I wrote it about him,” Mickey tells ET Online. “Really, it's about just loving that person that just means so much to me.”

The singer co-wrote her new song with David Garcia and fellow country artist Tyler Hubbard. It's the first of three new tracks she's planning to put out this year. When she announced “Somethin' Bout You,” Mickey explained that the song focuses on the early days of love — written from the perspective of someone who has since married and had a child with her partner.

“Somethin' Bout You' is reminiscent of those easy, joy-filled, early days of loving someone and discovering something new in each other every day,” she explained.

“Since having my son, Grayson, I've been seeing the arc of life from a new perspective, and I love celebrating every bit of it,” the singer continues, “from heartbreak to finding your person and falling in love, to the newfound love between a parent and a child. This song is the start of that journey.”

“Somethin' Bout You” arrives on Friday.
