“Here I Go Again” at the Ryman: 'Restless' Sara Evans has post-'Masked Singer' plans

Sure, it’s fair to assume Sara Evans is a little disappointed after being voted off The Masked Singer during the premiere of its new season. But the 2005 ACM Top Female Vocalist has other big plans for the future.

It’s been almost 20 years since her Platinum-selling Restless album came out, and she’ll mark the anniversary with a special show at the Ryman on Thursday, August 17. Sara will sing the album in its entirety, including hits like “Suds in the Bucket,” “Perfect” and “Backseat of a Greyhound Bus.”

“I've never performed the full album from start to finish before, so this will be a special treat to sing these songs that I love so much on the Ryman stage, along with many of my other hits,” she says. “I love all of my albums and each one has a special place in my heart, but I've always said that Restless is my favorite.”

“There was magic in the studio when we were making the record that brought life into these songs, some of which I wrote and some that were written by many of the best songwriters in the world,” she adds.

Presales for Sara Evans Still Restless — The 20 Year Celebration start Tuesday, before tickets become available to the pubic on Friday, February 24.

Meanwhile, you can check out Sara’s performance of the Whitesnake hit “Here I Go Again” as The Mustang from The Masked Singer.

Best “Truck” ever? Why Lainey was skeptical about HARDY's song

There’s no doubt Lainey Wilson is truckin’ right along on the country chart: Her own “Heart Like a Truck” is in the top five, while her duet with HARDY is just a few steps behind in the top 10.

While the CMA Female Vocalist of the Year was always down to collaborate with her friend, she was a little skeptical about “Wait in the Truck” – but in a good way.

“He sent this song to me and he said, ‘You know, I think this is one of the best songs I’ve ever written and I’d love for you to be a part of it,'” Lainey recalls. “Well, you know, I think everything that HARDY writes is incredible. He’s just an incredible songwriter, not just here in Nashville, but the entire world. And the way that he tells a story is pretty insane.”

“But I thought, ‘I don’t know if this is gonna be the best song you’ve ever written,'” she continues. “‘You know, I’d love to dig through your catalog and actually see what the rest of the songs that you write are like.'”

Once she heard it, Lainey decided HARDY was right.

“I’d have to agree,” she tells ABC Audio. “The story that it’s telling, it is about domestic violence. It’s a topic that a lot of people don’t wanna talk about. But I’m more than happy to shed a little bit of light on a really dark, a dark thing.”

Lainey continues on her Country with a Flare Tour as both her hits scale the chart.

Brett Young takes a trip to paradise and makes it pay, in more ways than one

Brett Young‘s managed to take a vacation to paradise, do some work and raise some money for good causes, all at the same time.

He just wrapped four sold-out performances in Hawaii – two in Honolulu, plus one each in Kahului and Lihue. He says he was drawn there by the locals’ love of his music.

“My wife and I have always been in love with the islands so when we heard that local artists have been covering my songs and that we had a fan base over here, we thought it sounded like the perfect excuse to come spend time and give back to some of our favorite places,” Brett says. “I'm hoping to make this a regular thing. It was very special – for me, and my family.”

While there, the father of two played in a golf competition to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network. He also donated a dollar from every concert ticket sold to HEARTS. In the end, Brett was able to give several thousands of dollars to the local organization that funds music, hula and theater programs.

Meanwhile, Brett’s latest hit, “You Didn’t,” continues its climb in country’s top 15.
