BTS’ Jimin shares album concept photos, reveals first track “Set Me Free Pt.2”

BTS’ Jimin revealed concept photos of his forthcoming solo album, ‘FACE’, sharing the pics via BigHit Music’s social media platforms. Conceptually, the photos depict the meanings of the album title — which means “face” as a noun and “to face” as a verb. In the ‘hardware’ concept photo, Jimin gives a dramatic look in a leather jacket. He later revealed ‘Software” concept photos that contrasts with the ‘Hardware’ photos. In the ‘Software’ photos, Jimin is wearing outfits with light tones. In addition, Jimin shared a new poster for his upcoming solo song, revealing he will pre-release the track titled “Set Me Free Pt.2” on March 17.

Jimin previously revealed last month that ‘FACE’ will contain six tracks, and several producers and musicians—including Pdogg, Supreme Boi, GHSTLOOP, Evan, BLVSH, Chris James and BTS colleague RM—participated in creating the album. To pre-order ‘FACE,’ head here.

Jimin is the fourth member of BTS to release solo music in the past year. J-Hope released Jack in the Box last summer featuring “More” and “Arson,” Jin released “The Astronaut” last fall with Coldplay, and RM released his first solo album Indigo in December. The band is currently on hiatus as each member fulfills their mandatory military service commitment to South Korea.  The band are expected to reunite in 2025.

Trek out to the “Outskirts” of town with Sam Hunt

Sam Hunt is reliving memories of a past relationship in his new heartbreak song “Outskirts.”

Composed by Sam, Zach CrowellJosh Osborne and Jerry Flowers, the track finds Sam reflecting on how a return to the “outskirts” of town has flooded him with recollections of an ex and an inevitable air of melancholy.

“But soon as I get out here on the outskirts/ I wish I was runnin’ by your house first/ Somethin’ ’bout a summer in the south sure/ Shines like gold down these old/ Round bail, river valley back roads/ Way back in the holler where the grass grows/ God almighty, baby, we were that close/ To ditchin’ this town and settlin’ down/ Out here on the outskirts,” Sam sings in the chorus.

“Outskirts” is the latest song release from Sam and follows “Walmart,” “Start Nowhere” and his current single, “Water Under the Bridge,” which is number 16 and climbing on the country charts.

Get up to “Speed” with Parker McCollum's new song

Parker McCollum gives fans a glimpse of his life in the fast lane with his autobiographical new song “Speed.”

Written by Parker alongside Ryan Beaver, the fast-tempo track finds the Texas native reflecting on the pace in which he lives life and the need to hit pause sometimes.

“My song Speed' is about my obsession with living fast,” Parker tells the press. “Life is always going a hundred miles an hour and it's important to try and be aware of that and slow things down every now and then. As you get a little further along in life you start to enjoy the slow and easy life. It takes a little reflection and a little step back from everything to realize how important it is.”

“Speed” is the latest preview of Parker’s upcoming album, Never Enough. Other tracks include “I Ain’t Going Nowhere,” “Stoned” and Parker’s current single, “Handle On You,” which is number seven and climbing on the country charts.

Remember when Trisha Yearwood performed “How Do I Live” at the 1998 Oscars?

It’s hard to believe that it’s been a whopping 25 years since Trisha Yearwood took the Oscars stage to perform her Diane Warren-written song, “How Do I Live.”

In an interview after her final rehearsal in 1998, an excited Trisha shared, “I think that's one of the things that makes this such a special night for me is because … this is not something that we as country music artists get to do every day. When you sit down and you make out a list of your dreams for your life, I don't know if you have the nerve to write down, I'd like to sing at The Oscars'! You know, you don't – you don't think quite that big, I guess. And I'm a big thinker! … I'm just really enjoying it.”

“It's the best possible scenario,” she added. “I don't have to worry about winning,' because it's Diane Warren's nomination. The win for me is to get to perform, and I know I can do that!”

Diane, of course, was nominated for Best Original Song with “How Do I Live” at the 70th Academy Awards. The timeless ballad was featured in the 1997 movie Con Air.

The 95th Academy Awards air Sunday, March 12, on ABC.

Tim McGraw has announced the title of his forthcoming 17th studio album with the release of its title track, “Standing Room Only.”

Leading fans on a powerful reflection on life, Tim sings in the chorus, “I wanna live a life, live a life/ Like a dollar and the clock on the wall don’t own me/ Shine a light, shine a light/ Like mama’s front porch when I’m lost and lonely/ Start forgivin’ and start forgettin’/ Be somebody that’s worth rememberin’/ Live a life so when I die/ There’s standing room only, standing room only.”

“Standing Room Only' caught my ear the first time I heard it because of its message,” Tim shares. “For me, this song is so positive and life affirming. It isn't about the funeral or the procession, it's about how we live in the here and now. How do we push ourselves and in which direction do we push ourselves? For me, it's a reminder to live a life filled with gratitude and not take things for granted. Also, it's a reminder to give back and be there for others.”

Carrie Underwood gifts fans a surprise new song on her birthday

Carrie Underwood is celebrating her 40th birthday Friday with a surprise new song, “Out Of That Truck.”

Out now, the uptempo breakup tune finds Carrie playing the character of a bitter ex who’s certain her old flame won’t ever get over her.

When you’re runnin’ around in that stick shift Chevy/ I bet it drives you crazy/ Thinking about us on every other back road, baby/ You got someone new on your bench seat trying to forget me lately/ But my memory’s stuck/ So good luck trying to get me out of that truck,” the powerhouse vocalist sings in the song she co-wrote with David Garcia and Lydia Vaughn

“It's not an aggressive song at all, so it's like, we didn't wanna push it there, but just wanted it to move and have some energy,” Carrie says of the song’s production in an Instagram video. “I have an affinity for guitars, so it was just kind of one of those wanting it to take you somewhere and sing along with it. It's just kind of a cool vibe, kind of looking at doing a country truck song in a different kind of way, just wanted it to be moving and kind of a bit of a tempo song.”

“Out Of That Truck” is the first new track Carrie has released following her 2022 album, Denim & Rhinestones. The 12-song record includes her current single, “Hate My Heart.”
