Justin Moore recalls the first impression he had of Priscilla Block

As a touring artist and father of four, Justin Moore admits he doesn’t have time to keep up with new artists. For a period of time, that even included his “You, Me, And Whiskey” duet partner, Priscilla Block.

“I’m terrible. I’m like the old fuddy-duddy that has no idea,” Justin tells ABC Audio. “It’s no disrespect to anybody. I just don’t keep up. And I have four kids and I’m always running in a thousand different directions. And so, I just don’t have a chance to jump into that stuff like I would like to or used to be able to.”

Fortunately, a chance guitar pull ended up putting Justin and Priscilla on the same stage. That introductory moment, as Justin recalls, left him completely floored by Priscilla’s vocal prowess.

“I was like, ‘Good God, she sings her a** off!’ And she had really, really good songs, really clever songs,” the “Small Town USA” singer says. What impressed him further was Priscilla’s ability to “hold [her] own” despite being surrounded by chart-topping artists.

“[When] you don’t have any hits yet and you’re up there with three or four artists that are playing number one after number one after number one, to be able to hold your own, not only hold your own but stand out in that situation, is really impressive,” shares Justin.

“You, Me, And Whiskey” is currently number 26 and rising on the country charts. The track will be featured on Justin’s upcoming album, Stray Dog, arriving May 5.

BTS’ J-Hope will be the second member of the K-pop band to start his mandatory military service in South Korea. J-Hope shared a photo of his newly buzzed hair as well as a handwritten farewell message to his dedicated fans.  When translated into English, the note read: “I will return healthy and well!!  I’ll have a good trip!!”

According to a South Korean news agency called Yonhap, J-Hope is enlisting in the South Korean military and starting five weeks of basic training at an Army boot camp in Gangwon Province. BTS’ agency, BigHit Music, has not shared the official date and location of his enlistment. BigHit took to Weverse last month to inform fans that J-Hope had started the process of enlisting, sharing: “We would like to inform our fans that j-hope has initiated the military enlistment process by applying for the termination of his enlistment postponement. We will inform you of further updates in due course. We ask you for your continued love and support for j-hope until he completes his military service and safely returns. Our company will spare no effort in providing support for our artist.”

BTS is currently on hiatus as the individual members start their mandatory South Korean military service. The eldest member of the group, Jin, documented his newly buzzed head just before leaving for a boot camp to begin his service back in December. Other members are still performing and making appearances before starting their own service. BTS plans to reunite as a full group in 2025.

Kane Brown is currently on the road, but he’s brought his entire family along with him: His wife and duet partner, Katelyn, and their daughters Kingsley, 3, and Kodi, 15 months. Now the “Thank God” singer has posted some behind-the-scenes photos of what it’s like on the road for the Brown family.

Lainey Wilson's sending “Smell Like Smoke” to the Emmys

Lainey Wilson‘s sending her boot-stomping song, “Smell Like Smoke,” to the Emmys for consideration in the outstanding music and lyrics category.

The track, which Lainey penned with Derek GeorgeLynn Hutton and Monty Criswell, was featured in the season five premiere of Paramount+’s Yellowstone, where Lainey made her acting debut as a local musician named Abby

“Derek came up with the signature guitar lick at the beginning of the song and tracked the original demo, while Monty and I fiddled around with lyrics and Lynn steered the melodies,” Lainey tells Variety. “It was a little rough around the edges, but with good energy, which we thought was perfect for Yellowstone.”

“We thought a song about owning tough times in a proud, matter-of-fact, light-hearted way would tie in well with the way the show makes the down-and-dirty look sexy and fun,” she adds.

“Smell Like Smoke” is featured on Lainey’s third studio album, Bell Bottom Country. The 16-song collection also includes her latest chart-topper, “Heart Like a Truck.”

It's official: Luke Combs has chosen his next single

Luke Combs has finally chosen his next single thanks to you, the fans.

After gathering fans’ votes earlier this month, Luke has announced “Love You Anyway” as his next single. The win, however, was not by a landslide. “Love You Anyway” led the poll against “5 Leaf Clover” by only two percentage points.

The announcement was personally shared by Luke at his recent stadium concert in Nashville.

“So, about a week and a half ago, I guess. I announced that I was going to let you guys decide what my next single was going to be at country radio. And we had a vote,” Luke told fans. “You could vote on ‘Love You Anyway’ or ‘5 Leaf Clover.’ Which one you wanted me to put out to the radio and it was real close. I think it was 51%-49%, so it was neck in neck. But the song we're about to play you right now is the winner.”

After a suspenseful lead-up, Luke finally announced, “This is my next single at country radio it's called ‘Love You Anyway.'” Fans, of course, welcomed the news with roaring applause.

“Love You Anyway” is the lead single off Luke’s latest album, Gettin’ Old.
