Halsey splits with boyfriend Alev Aydin, will co-parent their son

After more than three years of dating, Halsey and boyfriend Alev Aydin have split after more than three years together. According to sources, the couple’s decision to break up was “amicable” and they are committed to co-parenting their son Ender Ridley Aydin, born July 2021.

According to court documents, the 28-year-old Halsey filed a petition earlier this month to request primary physical custody of the couple’s child. In the documents, Halsey is asking to have joint legal custody of the child with Aydin, and for him to be granted “reasonable visitation” rights. Sources explained that the filing was simply a formality to allow Halsey to freely travel with their son as a touring artist. Halsey is also asking the court for fees of costs and litigation to be split between both parties.

Halsey and Aydin were first linked together when they were spotted together at a Los Angeles Lakers game in 2019. The singer surprised fans in early 2021 when they revealed her pregnancy, tagging Aydin in the post, which also confirmed their romance. She later told Allure: “Alev and I have been really good friends for four years. And when the stars aligned, our relationship became romantic and it was pretty evident that he and I were both like, ‘Oh, my gosh! You’re the person I’m supposed to start a family with,’ Nobody knew I was dating someone. As if people were entitled to an update, like, ‘I’ve met someone, we’re going on dates, it’s getting serious, they’ve moved in, we’re planning a child, we are having a baby, we had a baby, this is the gender….’”

Aydin was originally set to write a movie about Halsey’s life that was announced in 2018, but Halsey later revealed on Twitter that the biopic was postponed “Bc alev was supposed to be writing it the past 3 years and we slowly fell in love instead. you know the rest!”

Miranda Lambert revisits childhood undercover job on 'Live with Kelly and Mark'

Miranda Lambert was on Live with Kelly and Mark recently to chat about her new cookbook, Y’all Eat Yet?: Welcome to the Pretty B*tchin’ Kitchen, as well as her childhood job of going undercover with her parents.

“My parents were private investigators our whole life,” Miranda shared. “My mom made me do my first job undercover when I was, like, 4. And then she made me one day, like, wear my cheerleading uniform from high school. She made me pretend to sell cookies at the door so that I could peek in to see if there’s anybody in there that wasn’t supposed to be. Meanwhile, she’s in the Suburban snapping away.”

“So all our childhood videos and photos, my mom has to go through without anyone in the room because we don’t know what’s going to be on it,” Miranda added with a laugh.

Y’all Eat Yet?: Welcome to the Pretty B*tchin’ Kitchen is available for purchase in stores and online now.

President Joe Biden speaks to labor leaders after announcement of 2024 bid

President Joe Biden pitched his economic vision and promised to deliver for American workers during a speech to labor leaders in Washington, D.C., just hours after announcing his 2024 reelection bid.

Biden said he was proud to be considered a pro-union president and will continue to push policies that will produce more union jobs, while chastising Republicans for not voting for the American Rescue Plan, the Inflation Reduction Act and other initiatives, which he said will cut the debt while supporting jobs that will construction and other jobs that boost the middle class. Speaking over the chants of “four more years”, Biden addressed the labor federation at the North America’s Building Trades Unions at the Washington Hilton, which represents 14 unions and nearly three million workers. He said “We’re on the cusp of major change. We’re creating jobs again. Manufacturing has come alive again. People can afford decent health care. Towns that have been forgotten and left behind are coming to life again because of you all — what we’re doing … Now we’ve just got to keep going. Finish the job… Wall Street did not build America, the middle class built America and unions built the middle class.”

The speech was Biden’s first public event after making his 2024 re-election bid official in a video message on Tuesday morning. Biden said that unions were responsible for growing jobs and the economy alongside him since he entered the White House, and urged workers to stick by his side: “Folks, trickle-down economics doesn’t work. We’ve got a very different plan for the economy, we, you and I together, we’re turning things around, and we’re doing it in a big way.”
