Brett Young's “You Didn't” is fast becoming a fan favorite at live shows

With “You Didn’t” approaching the top five on the country charts, Brett Young says he’s grateful for the song’s growing success despite its long, record-breaking tenure on the charts.

“‘You Didn’t’ is setting all kind of weird records, huh?” Brett remarks. “I mean, it’s something like 2 1/2 months longer than any country song has ever continued to climb the country chart. It’s just crazy. I love that song.”

With the radio airplay “You Didn’t” has had, Brett’s also realized how it’s connecting with fans at live shows, sometimes more than his past chart-toppers.

“‘In Case You Didn’t Know’ was always the loudest song at every show, in terms of fan sing-back and response,” he notes. “‘You Didn’t’ is trumping that every single night right now at, like, I think 75 weeks or something like that. It’s just been out forever.”

“You Didn’t” is currently number seven and rising on the country charts. The track is off 2021’s Weekends Look a Little Different These Days, which includes its number-one lead single, “Lady.”

Zac Brown and Niko Moon team up for ‘Heaven Has A Bar’

Niko Moon has joined forces with Zac Brown for the new release “Heaven Has A Bar.”

Says Moon of the track: “It’s a song of simplicity, down-homeness, and celebration. I think Zac and I find a lot of value in the simple things: Family and friends, and celebrating life is what it’s all about. This is about celebrating with all the people you love once you go to heaven.”

Added Brown: “I like the imagination in this song. Whatever there is after life ends, that love of music doesn’t go away. To go see all of our heroes that have passed away and play some music, maybe that’s heaven for us.”

Moon and Brown have created No. 1 hits together, co-writing chart toppers “Loving You Easy,” “Homegrown,” “Beautiful Drug,” “Keep Me In Mind,” and “Heavy Is The Head,” recorded by Zac Brown Band.

Thousands raised in honor of fan who was killed after Taylor Swift concert in Houston

Taylor Swift fans are showing support a fellow fan, Jacob Lewis, who was killed by an alleged drunk driver leaving Swift’s concert in Houston over the weekend. A graduate of Taylor High School in Katy, Jacob was set to start his sophomore year in the musical theatre program at Sam Houston State University.

The accident happened on the Southwest Freeway on April 22, when Jacob’s vehicle became stalled on the freeway as he was making his way home from Swift’s concert at NRG Stadium. Lewis was trying to push the car from behind with his sister was at the wheel, when a car struck the 20-year-old. Lewis was pronounced dead at the scene, while his sister, April Bancroft, 26, was injured and received treatment at a local hospital. Jacob’s father, Steve Lewis, told news outlets: “His last act was to push his sister to safety on a dark street. He was a bright light… touched so many people. We’re all struggling with this loss.”

The drunk driver, Alan Bryant Hayes, reportedly fled the scene but was followed by another driver to a nearby street and was eventually taken into custody, treated for minor injuries and booked. As of Tuesday, he remains behind bars on $120,000 bond, charged with third-offense felony driving while intoxicated and failure to stop and render aid.

After news of Lewis’ death went public, ‘Swifties’ helped support his family by creating a GoFundMe to help raise funds in his honor. Hundreds of $13 donations were made, bringing the Lewis’ family’s fundraiser well over their goal of $75,000, with the GoFundMe raising over $112,000 as of Tuesday afternoon.

Dolly Parton teases first single off upcoming rock album

Fans are mere weeks away from getting their first taste of Dolly Parton‘s highly anticipated rock album.

The country music legend, who was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame last year, revealed on Good Morning America Tuesday, April 25, that she’ll be performing the first single off her Rock Star album at the 2023 Academy of Country Music Awards on May 11.

“At the end of the show I am going to get to debut … the first single off of my rock album,” Dolly said. “The album’s called Rock Star.”

“We’ve got a lot of wonderful, great celebrities – a lot of the older rock artists – in addition to all these iconic, wonderful songs,” she continued. “But I wrote the one that I’m going to debut. It’s kinda fitting to the times. It’s called ‘World on Fire.'”

Dolly previewed some of the lyrics for the song, singing, “Liar, liar/ The world’s on fire/ What you gonna do when it all burns down?”

“It’s really kinda about the times and how we can do a little better if we try to heal the divide and just get along a little better,” she explained, adding that it’s “got a great message to it” while also being just a “good and solid … rock anthem.”

Dolly has previously teased that she’ll be joined by the likes of PinkStevie NicksBrandi CarlileSteven TylerSteve PerryPaul McCartney and possibly Cher on her Rock Star album.

Not only is Dolly performing at the 2023 ACMs, she’ll be hosting alongside fellow country music superstar Garth Brooks.

“This was a big deal for me to get to work with Garth,” she said. “Everybody’s been talking about it, so hopefully we’ll measure up. I think we will.”
