Thomas Rhett, Lainey Wilson, and more set for 2023 ‘New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash’

The headliners for New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash have been announced, with the annual event returning to CBS.  The New Year’s Eve party will be headlined by Thomas Rhett, Lainey Wilson and Lynyrd Skynyrd on the main stage at Nashville’s Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park, airing live on Sunday, December 31st at 7:30 pm ET on the CBS Television Network and Paramount+.

Executive Producer Robert Deaton said in a statement: “Building on what we have established over the last two years by focusing on our artists, the fans and the vibrancy of downtown Nashville, this year’s lineup is shaping up to be our most exciting yet. We will celebrate 50 years of the iconic Southern Rock Band Lynyrd Skynyrd, the skyrocketing Lainey Wilson and country music superstar Thomas Rhett with over a dozen artists and special guests still to be announced. Nashville is quickly becoming THE destination for New Years Eve, and we are honored that CBS wants to help us continue to show off our music and incredible city with a new multi year deal!”

The main stage at Nashville’s Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park is free and open to the public; it is also home to the famed Music Note Drop at midnight.

Record Store Day 2023 Black Friday releases are announced

Record Store Day 2023 have revealed the list of special releases for their annual Black Friday celebration, which falls on November 24. Fans of various genres of music will once again be able to snag limited-edition vinyl titles sold exclusively at independent record shops throughout the U.S. and other countries.

Among the 175 releases that will be available are releases from Noah Kahan (a color marble vinyl version of his Cape Elizabeth EP), Post Malone (whose The Diamond Collection will be available on clear vinyl), Kim Petras, Jonas Brothers, All Time Low, Joni Mitchell, Willie Nelson, Dierks Bentley, and the Grateful Dead.

This year, the number of classic hip-hop titles has increased, in celebrating the 50th anniversary of the genre with reissues or collections being released as exclusives or “RSD First” items, including music from Prince, Dr. Dre, Lil Wayne, Nas, De La Soul, Madly, Schooly D, Three 6 Mafia, Digital Underground, Czarface, C-BO, Yungblud, Souls of Mischief, Spice 1, four Tuff City hip-hop compilations and the “Judgment Night” soundtrack.

Other 2023 Record Store Day Black Friday releases include music from The Beach Boys, Jeff Beck, late KISS drummer Eric Carr, The Doors, Justin Townes Earle, Faces, The Flaming Lips, Jerry Garcia & David Grisman, Goo Goo Dolls, Gov’t Mule, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, Norah Jones, Noah Kahan, Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Feat, Los Lobos, Aimee Mann, The Monkees, Mötley Crüe, Gram Parsons, Margo Price, Keith Richards, Leon Russell, and Billy Strings.

Demi Lovato is set to perform at The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, Nevada on New Year’s Eve on Sunday, December 31st.

BTS’s Jungkook to release first solo album ‘Golden’

BTS bandmember Jungkook announced via global fandom life platform Weverse that he will release his debut solo album, ‘Golden’, on November 3 via BIG HIT MUSIC. Big Hit Music said ‘Golden’ is inspired by “the golden moments” of Jungkook.

‘Golden’ features 11 tracks, including the previously released ‘Seven‘ featuring Latto, and ‘3D‘ featuring Jack Harlow.

BTS, who is also comprised of band members Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin and V. The group is on hiatus as the members fulfill their mandatory military service in South Korea and pursue their solo careers.

Nashville notes: Chris Lane's EP + Kelleigh Bannen's “I Know Better Now”

Chris Lane is set to drop his new EP, From Where I’m Sippin’, on October 20. “In this EP, you'll hear songs about breakups, new perspectives and ultimately being grateful for what you have right where you're at,” Chris shares. From Where I’m Sippin’ is available for presave now.

Kelleigh Bannen has released a heartfelt new song, “I Know Better Now.” “I’ve always felt like this song knows every corner of hurt in my heart, and knows how to heal it at the same time. I hope it does the same for you,” she says of the ballad.

Brett Eldredge teams with Minted for holiday collection

Dylan Scott to drop “I'll Be a Bartender” on Friday

A new Dylan Scott song is on the way.

After several teases on social media, Dylan has announced that he’s dropping his new “I’ll Be a Bartender” track on Friday, October 6. 

“This ain't a drill! ‘I'll Be a Bartender’ is out on Friday! Pre-save today!” Dylan shares on X, formerly known as Twitter, alongside the single cover art. The singer also posted a preview clip of the midtempo romantic tune.

Prior to this, Dylan released his This Town’s Been Good to Us EP in June. The six-song project features his current single, “Can’t Have Mine (Find You a Girl),” which is top 10 on the country charts.

“I’ll Be a Bartender” is available for presave now.

Kane Brown jams out to Alicia Keys with daughters

There’s nothing like some quality father-daughter time.

Kane Brown recently shared that with his daughters, Kingsley, 3, and Kodi, 1, in the comfort of their own home, with the accompaniment of Alicia Keys‘ “Girl on Fire.”

“Bath time [heart emoji],” Kane captioned an Instagram video that showcased him, Kingsley and Kodi jamming out to “Girl on Fire.” The clip opens with Kingsley belting the start of the chorus, “This girl is on fire,” in her blue pajamas as Kodi smiles and bops along with her dad.

On the music front, Kane is #35 and ascending the country charts with his new single, “I Can Feel It.”

Gabby Barrett shares preview of new song, “Cowboy Back”

Gabby Barrett is set to release a new song, “Cowboy Back,” on Friday, October 6.

Alongside her announcement, she treated fans to a preview clip of her upcoming track and some behind-the-scenes footage of her studio time.

“Yes ma’am with a southern accent/ Stand up for what needs standing/ Thank God I got a man like that/ Look at you bringing cowboy back,” Gabby sings in the uptempo tune.

“Cowboy Back” will follow Gabby’s latest release, “Glory Days,” which serves as her current single on country radio. Both songs preview Gabby’s forthcoming sophomore album.

Luke Combs announces his next single

Luke Combs has chosen “Where the Wild Things Are” as the follow-up single to his latest #1 hits, “Love You Anyway” and “Fast Car.”

“Excited to announce ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ will be my next song on Country Radio!” Luke shared with fans on X, formerly known as Twitter, alongside the single cover art reveal.

Unlike “Love You Anyway,” which was picked as a single by fans via social media, “Where the Wild Things Are” was selected without Combs’ fans. It was penned by Luke alongside Dan IsbellJames McNair and Thomas Archer, and serves as the third single off his latest album, Gettin’ Old.
