Bon Jovi release new holiday song, “Christmas Isn’t Christmas”

Bon Jovi has released the new original holiday song, “Christmas Isn’t Christmas”. Jon Bon Jovi said of the song: “‘Christmas Isn’t Christmas’ is a song that I wrote about family. The sentiment that Christmas really isn’t Christmas without YOU which can bring up a lot of memories for people. I also liked to turn it around and know that because of you Christmas IS Christmas.”

Bon Jovi said he originally wrote the song two years ago when his parents fell ill during the holidays, sharing in an Instagram video“It was a tough day in the house. My dad and my mom had both taken ill, and I wrote this as a gift to my parents and my children. The gift was that Christmas was bringing everyone together and while were weren’t all together, we can only be there in our memories, and in our thoughts, and our prayers. When we shot the video and we started conversing about it we realized that there’s also a great sunny side: Christmas isn’t Christmas without you, unless you’re here with me. So we can lighten the mood, too. I hope you like it as much as we do.”

Along with the release of “Christmas Isn’t Christmas” is a Bon Jovi Monopoly board game, commemorating the band’s 40th anniversary in 2024. The board game can be pre-ordered at the band’s official store and is priced at $49.99, and boasts properties, tokens, and other elements inspired by Bon Jovi’s history. The six collectible tokens that come with the game were based on Bon Jovi’s heart-and-dagger logo; the smirk face that appears on the ‘Have a Nice Day’ album cover; the Superman logo (which Jon Bon Jovi has tattooed on his left shoulder); the group’s home state of New Jersey; the Bon Jovi skull logo; and Jon’s signature acoustic guitar.

Serve up Niko Moon's snickerdoodle cookies this holiday

It’s time to shake up your baked treats this festive season with Niko Moon‘s snickerdoodle cookies.

The “Good Time” singer has shared the recipe for his favorite cookies on the first episode of the holiday edition of his YouTube series, STIR CRAZY.

Cinnamon, sugar, eggs and butter are some of the ingredients you’ll need. Once everything has been made, mixed and prepared, pop it in the oven to bake for nine minutes.

“I love cinnamon because my grandma used to make me cinnamon toast as a kid, especially during the holiday times. She used it [in] a lot of her cooking but especially that cinnamon toast,” Niko shares in the video. “That’s why they say, ‘It tastes better when there’s love put in it,’ and that’s very true.”

For the full recipe, check out Niko’s latest YouTube video.

Dan Smyers is a big ol' turkey lover

When it comes to Thanksgiving, one food item that’s a must-have for Dan + Shay‘s Dan Smyers is the turkey.

“My favorite Thanksgiving menu item has to be the turkey, especially when it was cooked by my mom,” says Dan.

“I have some fond memories of waking up early in the morning and my mom would be running around, taking care of the house, cleaning the house, getting ready for guests and yelling at us kids to go run and do stuff,” he recalls. “But, whenever she was cooking the turkey I could always smell it, and the turkey was always so good.”

“So my favorite Thanksgiving menu item has to be the turkey, and then the nap that the turkey sent me into after I ate it,” Dan adds.

Dan + Shay are #6 on the country charts with “Save Me the Trouble,” the lead single off their latest album, Bigger Houses.

Have a peek at Tyler Hubbard's typical Thanksgiving Day

After being on the road for months, Tyler Hubbard always looks forward to unwinding and spending time with family over the holidays.

His typical Thanksgiving Day involves everything from taking a big ol’ nap to chowing down on a holiday staple.

“Favorite Thanksgiving tradition for me is probably just getting together with family, having a big meal and watching a little football and taking a nice long nap. I mean, we didn't reinvent the wheel with Thanksgiving by any means,” Tyler shares.

“But my Nanny does make a pretty mean sweet potato casserole, so that's one of my favorites that I look forward to,” he adds. “I don't know if that's a tradition or not, but in my head it is. I love it.”

Tyler recently released a nostalgic music video for his latest single, “Back Then Right Now.” In case you missed it, you can watch it on YouTube.

For Priscilla Block, the holidays are about “truly being grateful”

While Priscilla Block‘s Thanksgiving with her family can get a little messy, they always try to keep gratitude at the center of their celebration.

“Thanksgiving has always been chaos. Actually any holiday that my entire family is there is straight chaos,” says Priscilla. “But for Thanksgiving, we all try so hard to be together and it's such a fun holiday, too. My family's a little cheesy. We actually still go around the table and [ask] like, ‘What are you thankful for?’ ‘What are you thankful for?'”

“That means a lot where it's not about presents, it's not about anything else,” she reflects. “It's just about truly being thankful, and that's why I love Thanksgiving so much.”

Coming up, Priscilla will hit the road on her Hey Jack Tour, with the kickoff show happening in San Diego, California, on February 7.
