Dua Lipa shares the video for ‘Training Season’

Dua Lipa has dropped her new single ‘Training Season’, along with the official music video for the track.  “Training Season” is the follow-up to Dua’s 2023 single, ‘Houdini‘, both set to appear on her forthcoming, yet-to-be-named third studio album which will drop later this year.

Lipa says of the new song: “I had been on a string of bad dates, and the last one was the final straw. The next morning I arrived to the studio to Caroline [Ailin (Ellie Goulding, Katy Perry)], and Tobias [Jesso Jr. (Harry Styles, King Princess, FKA Twigs)] asking me how it all went and I immediately declared ‘TRAINING SEASON IS OVER,’ and like the best ‘day after’ debriefs with your mates, we had a lot of laughs and it all quickly came together from there …And while it is obviously about that feeling when you are just absolutely done telling people…men specifically in this case, how to date you right; it is also about my training season being over and me growing with every experience. I have never felt more confident, clear or empowered. And while it may be that training season is never over for any of us, you start to see the beauty in finding that person to experience it with. You stop looking for the trainees and become more interested in having someone where you are and someone to grow with.”

The video for “Training Season”, directed by Vincent Haycock, sees the artist’s voicemail getting flooded with messages of apologies, and shows Lipa sitting unfazed at a cafe while surrounded by dozens of men gawking at and taking photos of her. You can check out the music video – here.

Fatherhood's given Sam Hunt a sense of purpose

Sam Hunt may be a music superstar, but nothing gives him greater purpose than being a dad.

“I think what I have enjoyed most about fatherhood is the sense of purpose,” Sam says. “It's deep, and it's something I couldn't have imagined until I experienced it. It gives so much meaning to all that I'm doing in life.”

“All the little mundane things that I might have done by myself before having kids now have all this weight and meaning when I do them with my children,” he reflects.

“I've got my little girl [Lucy Louise] who's coming up on 2 years old, who is growing and changing every day, and I'm having a lot of fun with her. I had my first son [Lowry Lee] just a few months ago, who is growing fast and a lot of fun,” adds Sam.

Sam’s currently in the top 20 of the country charts with “Outskirts.”
