Dolly's new cookbook, 'Good Lookin' Cookin',' features classic American dishes

Dolly Parton has announced her new cookbook, Good Lookin' Cookin'.

Arriving September 17, the book, which Dolly co-authored with her sister, Rachel Parton George, features over 80 recipes of staple Parton household dishes, such as country ham and biscuits, barbecue spare ribs, mac and cheese, and watermelon fruit salad. Also included are photos of the sisters whipping up food together and their hosting tips.

“I love good cooking, but not as much as I love my sister Rachel. So, getting to combine the two was a joy beyond belief for me,” says Dolly. “I do believe you’re going to love all these great recipes, and I think you’re gonna have as much fun reading these stories and things that we put together for you as we did. I can’t wait to get this book in your hands, and for you to get this food on your table.”

“This book has always been a dream of mine,” adds Rachel. “Cooking with my sister Dolly, looking through favorite recipes and recalling stories has been great fun. Through the years, we've washed many dishes, cleaned up plenty of spills and shared a lot of laughter. And somehow, we always manage to end up with good lookin' cookin'!”

Good Lookin' Cookin' is available for preorder now.

Meta resolves Tuesday’s outages across Facebook and Instagram platforms

Meta restored access to Facebook and Instagram early Tuesday afternoon after more than half a million users reported widespread issues beginning @10 a.m. ET, with many saying they were booted out of the social media platforms and unable to log back in. WhatsApp, another Meta product, seemed to be largely unaffected by the outage, while users of Threads reported a lesser degrees of users issues. There were also reports that some Meta Quest headset users were also experiencing issues logging in.

NetBlocks, a global internet monitor, posted on X : “Meta platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and Threads are currently experiencing outages related to login sessions in multiple countries; incident not related to country-level internet disruptions or filtering.”

A Meta Spokesman said in a statement on Tuesday: “Earlier today, a technical issue caused people to have difficulty accessing some of our services. We resolved the issue as quickly as possible for everyone who was impacted, and we apologize for any inconvenience.” The specific cause of the outage is not publicly known, though Meta said it was a “technical issue.”

According to crowdsourced data collected by DownDetector (a site that monitors internet service outages) more than 500,000 reports of problems by U.S. Facebook users and more than 70,000 reported problems with Instagram as of about 10:30 a.m. ET. The most frequently reported problems were with logging into the Facebook app and issues with the Instagram app.  Facebook Messenger also received thousands of reports, according to Downdetector. Some users on social media expressed concern that their accounts had been hacked because they had been booted out of the service and were unable to get back in with their passwords.

The outage occurred the same day as Super Tuesday, when voters in 15 states and one territory are set to head to the polls for GOP primary contests.

Cody Johnson recalls wife Brandi's reaction to “The Painter”

Cody Johnson‘s wife, Brandi, played a big part in his recording of “The Painter.”

Hot on the heels of it hitting #1, Cody recounts Brandi’s initial reaction when she heard the romantic ode.

“She loved it. She was very adamant about keeping it organic. She was like, ‘You know, this sounds like a song you would sit around acoustic with your band at soundcheck and just pick on. Please don’t overproduce the song,'” Cody recalls, adding that he typically doesn’t do that.

“That’s one of the reasons why we chose the resonator instead of an acoustic guitar,” the Texas native explains. “It had more of a grassroots feel. I love the way it builds.”

“The Painter” is the lead single from Cody’s latest album, Leather. The 12-song record also includes “Dirt Cheap,” which will hit country radio as the next single soon.

Tickets to Cody’s ongoing The Leather Tour are available now at codyjohnsonmusic.com.

Jordan Davis shares his latest track ‘Good News Sold’

Jordan Davis is sharing his latest track, “Good News Sold,” co-written by Jacob Davis, Cole Taylor, and Jordan Rowe. The song is the follow-up to Davis’ current hit “Tucson Too Late”

Davis shares of the new song: “I think at times there is no shortage of very heavy headlines locally and globally, and it’s hard sometimes to not get lost in that and spiral into being overwhelmed by them. But when you go home and hear your kid laugh or see someone go out of their way to help a stranger, these acts aren’t being highlighted in the same way but they very much exist .. This was sort of that reminder to me when I heard it, and I hope will be for other people, of what’s good in the world and that there is good in the world. It’s a reminder that there are good people, acts of kindness, moments of pay it forward, moments of light and joy.

Davis just wrapped his international run of his Damn Good Time arena tour, and will return to the road across the US and Canada for additional tour dates in April.
