Sugarland reuniting for performance with Little Big Town at 2024 CMT Music Awards

Sugarland, the award-winning country duo composed of Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush, will reunite at the upcoming 2024 CMT Music Awards. The performance marks 13 years since Sugarland’s first appearance at the CMT Music Awards.

The long-awaited reunion of Sugarland will see them join Little Big Town (comprised of Karen Fairchild, Kimberley Schlapman, Philip Sweet and Jimi Westbrook) for a world premiere performance, debuting a brand-new collaboration live during the show.

Sugarland has earned 19 total CMT Music Awards nominations over the years, and a total of four wins. They took home their first award for “Breakthrough Video of the Year” with their breakout hit “Baby Girl” in 2005.

The 2024 CMT Music Awards, hosted by Kelsea Ballerini, will take place at Austin, Texas’ Moody Center on Sunday, April 7th (8:00-11:00 PM ET/PT), on the CBS Television Network and available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+.

2024 CMA Fest performers include Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Bryan and more

CMA Fest, country music’s longest-running festival, will return for its 51st year, taking place on multiple stages across downtown Nashville from June 6-June 9. This year’s CMA Fest will feature concerts at Nissan Stadium, Ascend Amphitheater and 10 stages throughout the four-day festival. Additional stage lineups and Fan Fair X activities inside the Music City Center (including meet and greets, merch and more) will also be announced soon.

This year, performances taking place at Nissan Stadium will be headlined by country music’s biggest superstars, including Kelsea Ballerini, Brothers Osborne, Luke Bryan, Jordan Davis, HARDY, Jelly Roll, Cody Johnson, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Ashley McBryde, Parker McCollum, Megan Moroney, Jon Pardi, Carly Pearce, The War And Treaty, Thomas Rhett, Keith Urban, Lainey Wilson and Bailey Zimmerman. Additional collaborations and performances will be announced in the coming weeks.

The Country Music Association announced on Wednesday, April 3 that artists including Lee Brice, Brett Young, Lady A’s Charles Kelley, Tracy Lawrence, Maddie & Tae and more are slated to take the Ascend Amphitheater stage. The three-night Ascend Amphitheater lineup includes a night of “Celebrating 60 Years of Curb Records,” “Brett Young and Friends” and “Tracy Lawrence and Friends.” Tickets to the Ascend Amphitheater shows will start at $15, and will be available to the general public beginning on Friday (April 5) at 10 a.m. CT, per the Country Music Association.

Outdoor stages are free to the public, and ticket options for stadium passes are available starting at 10 AM CT here. A portion of the ticket proceeds will aid the CMA Foundation in providing music education programs across the U.S.

Travis Kelce’s ‘Kelce Jam 2024’ to feature headliners Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz

Travis Kelce revealed the star-studded lineup for Kelce Jam 2024, featuring headliners 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne alongside Diplo. The second annual event is set to take place on May 18, 2024, in Kansas City. at the Azura Amphitheater.

Kelce Jam 2024 will also feature local restaurant pop-ups and interactive activations throughout the event, and will stream globally across Travis Kelce (@killatrav) and @KelceJam on Instagram, powered by Takis. Said Kelce: “Kansas City, Kelce Jam is back, baby! I’m excited to once again welcome fans for the ultimate day of music, food, and an electric experience celebrating Kansas City. Last year, you exceeded my expectations when over 20,000 fans showed up in the rain to ‘fight for your right to party,’ and this year promises to be even more over the top as we welcome Lil Wayne, Diplo, and 2Chainz to the stage.”

Kelce, 34, said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter regarding Kelce Jam that “I wanted to keep it fresh and keep it new, so this year we asked Lil Wayne, Diplo and 2 Chainz to come out and perform. And of course, we still got DJ Irie and my guy, DJ E-V, jumping it off, the hometown kid. We got to show the hometown love … It’s going to be so much fun, and I cannot wait to get back out and celebrate with KC, man. It’s just a blast every single time we can get together to celebrate these back-to-back (Super Bowl wins) one last time.”

Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m., starting at $49.99, with presale registrations available online at KelceJam.com. Tickets go on sale 24 hours prior for Cash App card holders, beginning at 10 a.m. on Thursday.

twenty one pilots to launch ‘Clancy’ world tour

Twenty One Pilots announced they will hit the road for its 59-date ‘The Clancy World Tour’ in support of their upcoming album, Clancy.  The duo of Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun posted on social media: ‘The Clancy World Tour is bringing us back to see so many of you. |-/ Get info and presale access here: twentyonepilots.com/tour’

The 59-date tour kicks off Aug. 15 at the Ball Arena in Denver, Colo. with stops in Seattle, Phoenix, New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago and their hometown of Columbus, Ohio before wrapping up the North American leg on Oct. 12 at Target Center in Minneapolis, Minn.  The international leg of the tour begins in Auckland, New Zealand, on Nov. 17 and will make stops in Australia the rest of the month. The tour resumes April 2025 in Germany, Italy, Spain, France and more before wrapping up with two shows at London’s 02 Arena on May 13 and 14.

Nashville notes: Kassi Ashton covers Beyoncé + Maggie Rose on 'Today'

Kassi Ashton took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share an acoustic cover of BeyoncĂ©‘s new Miley Cyrus-assisted song, “II Most Wanted.” The track’s off Bey’s Cowboy Carter.

Maggie Rose was on NBC’s Today with Hoda & Jenna to perform “No One Gets Out Alive.” The soul-stirring tune is the title track of her forthcoming Big Loud Records debut album, arriving April 5. 

The Riverfront Revival is returning for a third consecutive year on October 11 and 12. Among those performing are Hootie & the Blowfish, Hailey Whitters, Jamey Johnson and Sister Hazel. Tickets are available now at Riverfront Revival’s website.

Saddle up for Morgan Wallen's new single with ERNEST

Morgan Wallen has chosen the next single from his chart-topping album, One Thing At A Time

The ERNEST-assisted “Cowgirls” is saddling up to hit country radio on April 15.

It’s the follow-up single to a string of #1 hits, which include “You Proof,” “Last Night,” “Thought You Should Know,” “Everything I Love,” “Thinkin’ ‘Bout Me,” “Man Made a Bar” featuring Eric Church and the album’s title track.

Of One Thing At A Time, Morgan says, “This record represents the last few years of my life, the highs and the lows. It also brings together the musical influences that have shaped me as an artist- country, alternative and hip-hop.”

“There are 36 songs on this album because we just kept exploring with fresh lyrics, music and production ideas and these are the songs that felt right to me,” he adds.

Parker McCollum's excited to “Burn It Down” at the CMT Music Awards

Parker McCollum‘s excited to “Burn It Down” in style at the CMT Music Awards on Sunday.

“That song's been so big for us. ‘Burn It Down’ has been a huge hit for us, and so to get the opportunity to perform it on the CMT Awards live on television in Austin, Texas is pretty special,” says Parker in a press release.

“What that song's done for us in the past year is what you dream of with every song you send to radio, every song you release. It's been a big reason that we've been able to level up and been fortunate enough to keep growing in this business,” he shares. “To get to shine a spotlight on that song on national TV – that's gonna be rowdy.”

Parker’s also excited to be joined by Brittney Spencer onstage.

“We're going to feature her in the performance, and I mean, that's super special,” says Parker. “No question she’ll kill it!” 

The 2024 CMT Music Awards airs live from Austin, Texas, on Sunday, April 7, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+.

Brett Young, Lee Brice, Riley Green + more to perform at Ascend Amphitheater for CMA Fest

The Country Music Association has unveiled the three-night Ascend Amphitheater lineup for this year’s CMA Fest.

Kicking things off Thursday, June 6, is the Celebrating 60 Years of Curb Records-themed night. The bill includes Curb Records artists Lee Brice, Dylan Scott, Rodney Atkins, Hannah Ellis, Tim Dugger, Sawyer Brown, Kelsey Heart, Harper Grace and Pitney Meyer.

Brett Young and Friends will take the stage Friday, June 7. Joining the “In Case You Didn’t Know” hitmaker are Restless Road, rock band NEEDTOBREATHE, country-pop up-and-comer Shaylen and more, with Charles Kelley, Gavin DeGraw and Colbie Caillat also slated to make guest appearances.

The three-night run will wrap with Tracy Lawrence and Friends, featuring performances from Tracy, Riley Green, Chris Young, Maddie & Tae, Priscilla Block, RaeLynn and Charles Esten.

Justin Moore thanks fans for new career achievements

Justin Moore‘s “If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away” and “You, Me and Whiskey” with Priscilla Block have been respectively certified double Platinum and Platinum by the RIAA.

The country star took to social media to share the great news with fans and thank them for making this possible.

“Can't thank our fans enough for this. y'all made You, Me, And Whiskey platinum as well as If Heaven Wasn't So Far Away 2x platinum. Thank each and every one of you for supporting my music throughout the years. It doesn't go unnoticed,” Justin wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Justin’s latest single, “This Is My Dirt, “ is now approaching the top 30 of the country charts. It’s the follow-up release to his 2023 album, Stray Dog.

More of your favorite stars are headed to the 2024 CMT Music Awards.

Jason Aldean and up-and-comer Dasha have been added to the performer lineup.
