Travis Denning says 'Roads That Go Nowhere' is a “really solid country music album”

Travis Denning‘s Mercury Nashville debut track, “David Ashley Parker From Powder Springs,” arrived in March 2018, and on Friday, he’ll finally get to release his first full-length album, Roads That Go Nowhere.

With over five years between both releases, it’s safe to say that Travis has had plenty of time to get ready and put together his introductory record.

“It feels pretty dead-on what I’ve wanted to accomplish. You know, I think the amount of time that we put into it, I don't know, it feels like we checked pretty much all of the boxes,” Travis shares in a press interview. “It just feels like a really solid country music album, and I think that's just what was really important.”

Since Travis penned 12 of the 15 songs on Roads That Go Nowhere, you can expect an auditory glimpse of the Georgia native’s life.

“The theme is there with the title track, the stories are there. I got to put enough of the creative things that I connect to where I come from in there that not a lot of people get to do, and for that I am super grateful,” says Travis. “And then, of course, there's some big rockin', Nashville rock ‘n’ roll country on there.”

“All that mixed together, it's made what I consider a pretty well-rounded project,” he shares.

Roads That Go Nowhere is available for preorder and presave now.

Here’s the Roads That Go Nowhere track list:

“Why I’m Drinking”
“I Know How It Sounds
“Better At Leaving
“Strawberry Wine and a Cheap Six Pack”
“Going Places
“Someone That Isn’t Me”
“Southern Rock” (featuring HARDY)
“Love You Past That”
“Things I’m Going Through”
“Add Her To The List”
“Roads That Go Nowhere”
“The Sound of a Beer Getting Cracked” (featuring Josh Ross)
“Can’t Find One”
“Here and Her”
“Ocmulgee River”

Eminem to release ‘The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace)’

Eminem shared that he will drop a new album titled The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace), releasing a trailer to share the news. Eminem, 51, first introduced the world to his alter-ego, Slim Shady, on an EP in 1997, and further explored the personality on The Slim Shady LP in 1999.

In the short trailer reveal, a reporter says: “Through his complex and oft-criticized, tongue-twisting rhymes, the anti-hero known as Slim Shady has had no shortage of enemies. The same rude lyrics and controversial antics may have ultimately led to his demise. Join me as we recreate the events that led to the murder of Slim Shady.” Em’s longtime friend and collaborator 50 Cent also makes an appearance in the clip, stating: “He’s not a friend, he’s a psychopath.”

The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace) is due out this summer, and will serve as the follow-up to 2020’s Music to Be Murdered By.

Carly Pearce learns a new workout from Tim McGraw

Carly Pearce has learned a new workout: the tire flip.

The “What He Didn’t Do” singer shared on Instagram a video of Tim McGraw teaching her the functional training movement, which left her exhausted.

“Will you please help me? I need help. I clearly am not doing that right, right? This is how I was doing it,” Carly tells Tim as she struggles to flip the tire.

“Bend your knees. Get your hands underneath the bottom. Bend your knees further. Now lift with your legs and butt,” Tim instructs Carly as she successfully flips the tire off the ground.

When the “I Like It, I Love It” hitmaker tells Carly how many times he typically flips the tire, she shakes her head and responds, “This is as far as I’ll go.” So instead, Tim improvises and they start pushing the tire back and forth without covering any distance.

“Oh I can do that. This is more my speed of a workout,” says Carly.

“It’s like a seesaw,” Tim notes, to which Carly jokes, “This is why I don’t look like you.”

You can watch the mini workout video on Carly’s Instagram.

Carly’s currently opening for Tim on his Standing Room Only Tour, with upcoming stops in Toledo, Chicago and Grand Rapids on May 30, May 31 and June 1, respectively.

For tickets and the full schedule, head to Tim’s website.

Carly’s new album, Hummingbird, arrives June 7, and is available for preorder and presave now.
