Nashville Notes: Fresh drops from Reba, Anne Wilson, Dzaki Sukarno + Eli Winders

Anne Wilson has released a new live album, REBEL (Live From Lexington). “Recording this live album in my hometown of Lexington at the Opera House-where I spent 11 years with the Lexington Ballet Company-holds such deep meaning for me,” says Anne. “There's something special about the place that shapes you and supports you through every season of life, so it's a dream come true to be releasing a live album from the city where it all began.” The 10-track project includes her hit song, “My Jesus,” and current single, “Songs About Whiskey,” which is now on country radio.

Rising singer/songwriter Dzaki Sukarno has dropped his cover of Freddy Fender‘s iconic hit “Before the Next Teardrop Falls.” “We aimed for a stripped-down sound to honor the classic feel of the song,” says Dzaki. “I'm thrilled to have worked on this project with such amazing friends! I'd love for you to give it a listen and share your thoughts!”

Eli Winders‘ debut EP, From Pikeville, is out now. “The songs on this project were all written in my hometown of Pikeville, NC, or shortly after moving to Nashville,” shares Eli. He adds, “I'm so thankful for everyone that played a part in this project, it truly wouldn't be possible without all of these talented people.” The seven-track set includes two new tracks: “Blueprint” and “Two Birds When I’m Stoned.”

For the first time ever, Reba McEntire will release her 2009 album, Keep On Loving You, on vinyl Dec. 6. Jordan Davis gets nostalgic in 'Know You Like That'

Nostalgia and old memories take center stage in Jordan Davis‘ new song, “Know You Like That.”

Out now, the track finds the persona thinking about his old flame, who’s now married with kids, and the good ol’ days they shared.

“It’s crazy seein’ you with them two kids and a Tahoe/ Last time I saw you, you were sippin’ on a silver bullet in my Silverado/ And you were singin’,” goes the opening verse.

“I heard he brings in more than enough for you to get to stay home/ Your last name is changed on everything but it’s still the same in my phone/ Got me thinkin’,” Jordan sings in the next verse before going down memory lane in the chorus.

In an Instagram post shared Friday, Jordan said in jest, “Go ahead and send it to the girl whose name is still the same in your phone.Unless you're married. That wont end well.”

“Know You Like That” follows Jordan’s current single, “I Ain’t Sayin’,” which is now in the top 30 of the country charts.

Both tracks preview his forthcoming new album.

Brenda Lee's 'Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree' gets Spanish version thanks to AI

A Spanish version of Brenda Lee‘s “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” created with artificial intelligence – and with Lee’s approval – is here just in time for the holiday season.

The new version, titled “Noche Buena y Navidad,” was produced by Grammy winner Aureo Baqueiro, who kept the original music and background vocals from the original version but replaced Lee’s lead vocals with a new Spanish-language vocal created with SoundLab’s AI MicDrop tool. It was released Friday.

This audio plug-in, which allows a person to transform their voice into another person’s voice, makes it appear as though Lee was back in the recording booth at age 13 singing the song in Spanish.

A press release from Universal Music Group credits “an innovative use of responsibly-trained AI technology” for helping create “Noche Buena y Navidad.”

“I am so blown away by this new Spanish version of ‘Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree,’ which was created with the help of AI,” Lee said in a press release.

“Throughout my career, I performed and recorded many songs in different languages, but I never recorded ‘Rockin” in Spanish, which I would have loved to do,” she continued. “To have this out now is pretty incredible and I’m happy to introduce the song to fans in a new way.”

Lee’s iconic Christmas song, released 66 years ago, hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart last year.
