Russell Dickerson's son Remington is already into sports + music

Life has been a bit of a whirlwind for Russell Dickerson. On top of his responsibilities as a father, husband and touring artist, he’s also overseeing his home renovation, which have been ongoing since June.

“We’re renovating our house right now,” Russell tells ABC Audio. “We got some land and stuff, so it’s a little ways away. But I have rented [the neighbors’ house] as my studio for the last three years. So we’re all in that right now. Literally the week of CMA fest, [I] threw everything in this house, hit the road and basically end of September just got home to reconvene.”

Renovation chaos aside, Russell says his 4-year-old son, Remington, is starting to get into sports and music – and it’s something he loves witnessing.

“[Remington] is the man. We played baseball last night for like two hours. Like, I mean, I’m just throwing, he’s hitting and he’s throwing, he’s hitting, and it’s just like, we’re in it, dude,” says the father of two. “He’s playing the drums. He’s taking a little interest in the guitar and the drums and everything, so it’s super cool to see.”

Russell and his wife, Kailey, are also parents to 1-year-old Radford.

Russell will hit the road beginning March 14 for his Russellmania Tour, with the first show happening at Nashville’s The Pinnacle. You can find tickets and a full list of dates now at russelldickerson.com.

Russell’s current single, “Bones,” is in the top 40 and climbing up the country charts.
