Doja Cat teases tracklist for new album ‘Vie’

Doja Cat gave fans another look at what might be coming on her upcoming album Vie, tweeting a picture of what seem to be songs on her upcoming album.

Back in November, Doja briefly shared a 13-song tracklist on social media (before quickly deleting it) which included titles like “Break My Heart,” “Take Me Dancing,” “Anything,” “Ain’t News,” “Turn the Lights On,” “Slow Burn,” “Wood Holly,” and “Appreciation.”

The latest tease saw Doja share an updated version featuring 16 tracks—some of which were repeats from the earlier list. The post was captioned, “don’t ask me where crack is rn,” (referencing a track called “Crack” that was notably missing this time(. “Turn the Lights On” made the cut again, but several songs from the earlier list—like “Break My Heart,” “Take Me Dancing,” “Anything,” “Ain’t News,” “Slow Burn,” “Wood Holly,” “Did I Lie,” and “Appreciation”—seem to have been dropped.

Doja Cat’s most recent album, Scarlet, was released in 2023 as the follow-up to her 2021 release Planet Her. Doja followed that album with the Scarlet 2 CLAUDE deluxe edition in May; and most recently, she collaborated with BLACKPINK’s LISA and RAYE on the track “Born Again,” and teamed up with Jack Harlow for his song “Just Us.”

Listen in on Brett Young's chat with his two little girls

Brett Young‘s busy tour schedule sometimes takes him away from his wife, Taylor Young, and his daughters, 5-year-old Presley and 3-year-old Rowan. But he’s figuring out how to use technology to bridge the divide.

“Getting more and more difficult being away from these babies,” he shared, along with a collection of pictures, on Instagram. “Swipe to the last slide to see how we have been having fun and getting creative exchanging videos when daddy is on the road.”

In the clip, Brett checks in with his girls as he’s working out at the gym, telling them how much he’s looking forward to seeing them when they meet up in California.

“Love you, Daddy, and … if you were here, I would kiss you and hug you, but you’re not,” Presley responds.

“You can say whatever you want, just don’t press the red button,” she says to Rowan, who of course immediately presses the red button, momentarily interrupting the video.

“I said it!” Rowan offers proudly, handing the phone to her mom after giving a little recap of her dad’s message.

Brett’s busy promoting his new single, “Drink with You,” from his new album, 2.0, which drops June 13.

Priscilla Block fires Ella Langley's 'Bullet' with Diplo and VAVO

Priscilla Block‘s ready to fire a “Bullet” with the help of Diplo and VAVO.

While you may know DJ/producer Diplo from his country persona, Thomas Wesley, VAVO may be fairly new to you. The duo created what’s known as YEEDM, “merging country music and true EDM production.” So far, they’ve worked with Kane Brown, Nate Smith, Thomas Rhett, Mitchell Tenpenny and more.

“I couldn't be more excited for this song,” Priscilla says. “The second I heard it, I was obsessed! VAVO remixed a few of my songs in the past, so it's awesome to finally do an original together and having Diplo on it takes the song to a whole new level.”

Ella Langley is also one of the co-writers on “Bullet.”

“Diplo is literally one of the best music producers – period – and I've always dreamed about working on an original with him,” VAVO's Jesse Fischer says. “He really is one of the pioneers of the country/dance music movement.”

“Priscilla was one of the first country artists to truly believe in YEEDM and had us remix multiple songs for her back in 2023,” he continues. “Seriously, someone pinch me because this has to be a dream!”

Check out VAVO’s remixes of David Lee Murphy‘s “Dust on the Bottle” and Kenny Rogers‘ “The Gambler” to find out more about that they do.

Both VAVO and Diplo are on the Stagecoach lineup.

Tennessee parole board wants pardon for Jelly Roll

The Tennessee Board of Parole wants Tennessee’s governor to pardon Jelly Roll

“A year ago, I wrote ?[Gov. Bill Lee] asking for a full Pardon for Jason ‘Jelly Roll’ Deford,” Davidson Co. Sheriff Daron Hall shared on his socials Tuesday. “Today the Board unanimously recommended his Pardon. It's now in the hands of our Governor.”

The pardon would make it possible for Jelly Roll to travel and perform internationally.

The 40-year-old has been jailed more than 40 times on drug charges dating back to when he was 14, before going to prison for robbery at 17. Since then, he’s often expressed his remorse, frequently visiting and advocating for those in custody.

“This was incredible,” Jelly told The Associated Press. “I pray this goes through. But today was special for me, regardless.”

He went on to talk about how he discovered songwriting while in detention.

“It started as a passion project that felt therapeutic and would end up changing my life in ways that I never dreamed imaginable and opened doors that I've never thought possible,” he reflected.

For now, the nonbonding recommendation is in the governor’s hands.

“The reporting on Jelly Roll, that's encouraging for his situation,” Lee told reporters Tuesday, “but there are steps yet to happen in that case.”
