Megan Moroney marks a moment in time on Thursday's CMA Fest special

If you’ve been watching the annual CMA Fest special the past few years on ABC, you’ve probably been able to chart the trajectory of Megan Moroney‘s career.

“I got to play the platform stage two years ago,” Megan said during CMA Fest in early June. “And then I was on the main stage last year, and so [I’m] happy to be back.”

Megan’s performance this year is a bit historic, capturing a very specific moment in time.

“I’m really excited to play ‘Am’ I Okay?’ because at midnight it’s officially a #1 at country radio,” she said ahead of the performance. “So that’ll be like the last time we play it before it’s a #1. So it’s very exciting.”

You can also expect another memorable look from Megan, who promises “a lot of sparkles.”

Cody Johnson and Ashley McBryde host the three-hour CMA Fest special Thursday starting at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

Lainey Wilson shares video for ‘Somewhere Over Laredo’

Lainey Wilson released her latest single, “Somewhere Over Laredo,” written by Wilson, Trannie Anderson, Dallas Wilson and Andy Albert. See the Somewhere Over Laredo performance video – HERE.

The song honors “Somewhere Over The Rainbow”, which Wilson talked about on CBS Mornings:  “I spend a lot of my time 30,000 feet in the air, flying to the next show, the next town, and you know when you’re staring out the window you get to just spend a little bit of time with yourself and reminisce and dream, talk to God, and all of those things and this song right here — it gave me an opportunity to kind of step back into a pair of shoes that I wore a long time ago .. And I’m partial, but this is one of my favorite songs that I have ever written, and, I mean, of course everybody is inspired by the song ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow,’ and we’ll see. It’s out now.”

Somewhere Over Laredo is Wilson’s first release since her “Whirlwind” CD came out last August; a deluxe version will be released on August 22nd (preorder HERE.)

Lainey also unveiled the official music video for “Somewhere Over Laredo,” directed by decorated filmmaker TK McKamy (Tim McGraw, Reba, Darius Rucker). An official video description reads: “Wilson embarks on a surreal adventure inspired by the timeless magic of The Wizard of Oz. In pursuit of love lost, Wilson takes a trip down the yellow brick road through symbolic memories as a mysterious cowboy lures her deeper into a lucid dream.”

2025 ‘Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic’ raises $1.4 million for charity

The 21st edition of Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic, held May 30-31 at the Riverwind Casino in Norman, Okla., has raised $1.4 million for charity.

The Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic was started 21 years ago as a way to continue the foundation’s charitable endeavors. The event has raised a total of $20 million to date. Keith calls his charitable efforts “my best gift I’ve ever given to the world.” The country legend died on Feb. 5, 2024 after a two-year battle with stomach cancer.

The annual event raises money for the Toby Keith Foundation, which Keith started in 2006. Through that organization, Keith opened the OK Kids Korral in 2014 — an organization which still provides aid to children and families who are receiving medical care for critical illnesses.

The gala raised more than $100,000 in the first two minutes alone, per a press release. This year’s classic was hosted by Keith’s friend Sammy Hagar, who donated $10,000 during the annual gala. An additional $25,000 was donated by Keith’s widow Tricia Covel, as well as another generous $25,000 anonymous donation. Hagar said: “Now that’s the way to start a fundraiser! I had a blast … would be happy to do it again. Toby would’ve done that and more for me any day.”

In addition, a live auction generated $600,000, with items up for bids including a Toby Keith Limited Edition Military Guitar (which went for $35,000) and a cowboy hat autographed by George Strait, which sold for $7,000.

Spend four Christmas nights with Little Big Town at the Ryman

We’re a little more than six months away from Christmas, but Little Big Town‘s hoping you’ll go ahead and make some holiday plans.

The foursome is planning four shows at the Mother Church of Country Music this year to showcase their yuletide album.

“It's always been a dream of ours to play Christmas shows at the historic Ryman,” they announced on their socials. “It's finally happening! Please come spend your holidays with us.”

“Four Christmas nights with you,” the attached photo reads, referencing the track “Christmas Night with You,” from 2024’s The Christmas Record.

Presales for the December concerts start Tuesday, before going on sale to the public on Friday.

Previously, Little Big Town did a Ryman residency in 2017, celebrating the building’s 125th anniversary.

Have a hotdog with Garth & Trisha this Fourth of July

Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood are inviting you over for a bite on the Fourth of July.

You read that right: While you won’t exactly get to go to their house, they do hope you’ll stop by their Friends in Low Places bar on Nashville’s Lower Broadway and have a hot dog – on them.

“Free hotdogs on the rooftop? You bet,” the country super couple announced on their socials, along with a video of Garth grilling while Trisha lounges and has a drink.

“Starting at 2PM on the 4th of July, @friendsbarnash is giving out FREE hotdogs UNTIL WE RUN OUT – and yes, we mean it,” the post continues. “No rules. Just buns, dogs, and the grill.”

Of course, the only downside may be that there’s a bit of a crowd. The city’s expecting a quarter of a million people to show up for the annual Let Freedom Sing! celebration, which includes performances by Dierks Bentley, Russell Dickerson, Niko Moon and the Nashville Symphony.

Here's what you can expect from Morgan Wallen's I'm the Problem tour

Morgan Wallen kicked off his 20-show I’m the Problem stadium tour Friday with two concerts at Houston’s NRG Stadium.

NFL Hall of Famer Andre Johnson, Drake, Houston Astros legend Roger Clemens and local celebrity Mattress Mack all helped walk him out onto the stage.

Half of the 25-song set list came from his new album, I’m the Problem, which is currently spending its fifth week atop the Billboard 200.

“I’m gonna play one of my most personal songs, and one of the songs that means the most to me right now off this new record,” he said while introducing his new radio single, “I Got Better.”

Koe Wetzel joined him to perform his first hit, “Up Down.”

Wallen also traveled to the B stage at back of the venue to do “Cover Me Up,” “I’m a Little Crazy” and “Sand in My Boots.”

“One thing that I miss about playing those smaller places is I could go out on stage every night, and I could pretty much look at every single person in the eyes,” he commented. “That’s not possible now, but this is my best attempt at getting a little bit closer to you, so I want to sing a few songs back here, acoustic-style.”

Morgan’s tour rolls on to Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, Wisconsin, Saturday with Ella Langley and Miranda Lambert.

Kenny Chesney will 'Go Back' to Sphere Las Vegas in 2026

Kenny Chesney has wrapped his 15 nights as the first country artist to headline Sphere Las Vegas, but he’ll be back next year.

Near the end of his Saturday night show, he revealed that “a couple days ago, they asked us to come back next year,” before a visual appeared with #IGoBack26 and #Summertime26.

“I got a little carried away,” Kenny said afterward. “But after all the guests, all the songs we hadn't planned on, all the people who came from all over, I just didn't want to keep it a secret. I knew we were coming back, and if No Shoes Nation had half as much fun as we did, I wanted them to know we'd see them right here next summer. What could be better?”

Songwriter Mac McAnally joined him for the last two shows, with Kenny finishing the final song drumming alongside Nick Buda on “Don’t Happen Twice.”

Look for details about Kenny’s 2026 Sphere run to be revealed in the next several weeks.
