Prime Video shares two songs, trailer for the new series ‘The Runarounds’

Prime Video has shared the trailer for The Runarounds, a coming-of-age music drama series from the creators of the hit series, Outer Banks.

An official synopsis reads“The Runarounds follows a group of recent high school graduates from Wilmington, North Carolina, who come together the summer after graduation to form a rock band, united by their shared love of music and near-impossible dream of stardom. As they pursue the big leagues, they encounter big trouble along the way.”

The Runarounds stars William Lipton, Axel Ellis, Jeremy Yun, Zendé Murdock, and Jesse Golliher came together for the project after Pate recruited Outer Banks stars Chase Stokes and Madelyn Cline to put out a call for young musicians on social media to star in a new series. The series also stars Lilah Pate, Maximo Salas, Kelley Pereira, Marley Aliah, Mark Wystrach, Brooklyn Decker, Hayes MacArthur and Shea Pritchard star.

Outer Banks creators Josh Pate, Jonas Pate and Shannon Burke are also are among The Runarounds‘ executive producers.  Josh Pate recently told Entertainment Weekly of the process that led to the selection of the musicians/actors who ultimately formed the Runarounds: “We got 5,000 bands sent to us in a week. I was thinking that these kids are going to freak out if they’ve never had cameras in their face before.”

Pate added that the pilot for The Runarounds was originally shot in 2022, but since then the musicians have formed a group in real life. “They’ve written tons of songs. They just played their first festival in Charlotte. They’re out of high school now and they’re totally legit musically. It’s awesome.”

In addition, the official soundtrack to the series will be released coinciding with the series’ debut on September 1st (to presave, head HERE).  The band’s first two singles — “Funny How The Universe Works” (featured in the series trailer) and “Senior Year” (the first song written and recorded by the real-life band) — are also available now on streaming services.

All eight episodes of The Runarounds premieres Sept 1st on Prime Video; see the series trailer: HERE.

The Chainsmokers release the new single “White Wine & Adderall”

The Chainsmokers have officially released their new single “White Wine & Adderall” featuring vocals from Beau Nox.

Drew Taggart and Alex Pall share about the song: “It took a whole day to get the main three lines of this song. We sat with the incredible Beau Nox, scratching our heads and left the session, ultimately thinking nothing would come from the tiny hook we had written. A couple of days later Drew and I were talking about this UKG wave and I said I bet you can’t make a version of this in that world. A few hours later, it was hitting pretty hard. It wasn’t a song that we immediately imagined releasing but after playing it in many of our shows and seeing the reaction, it became clear to us it needed to come out. Last time I bet Drew he couldn’t make a certain style of song, we ended up with Don’t Let Me Down. After all these years, maybe this is how we work best.”

The release of “White Wine & Adderall” follows last year’s “Don’t Lie” with Kim Petras; see the lyric video for the track – here.

See Post Malone pose in camo undies for new SKIMS Men’s campaign

Post Malone teaming with Kim Kardashian isn’t a collab you’d necessarily predict, but the singer is the star of the new campaign for her SKIMS brand of underwear, loungewear and shapewear.

Specifically, Posty is fronting the campaign for the new SKIMS Men's newest collection. Shot on a Utah ranch, it shows the singer modeling heavyweight fleece camo-print joggers and a zip-up hoodie, as well as T-shirts and camo print boxer briefs. He posed topless in the briefs, but it’s hard to tell because he has so many tattoos on his body that it looks like he’s wearing a shirt even when he’s not.

“I'm all about comfort and feeling good in what I wear,” Post says in a statement. “These pieces are fun, the camo especially stands out to me. I've always been into camo.”

Kardashian says in a statement, “Post Malone truly embodies the spirit of the SKIMS Man with his effortless energy and style, which really shine through in this campaign.” She adds, “Having Post lead the campaign just felt like the perfect fit.”

The full collection will be available Aug. 21 at SKIMS.com and in stores.

Miranda Lambert & Parker McCollum’s Band Together Texas show brings home $8.5 million

Miranda Lambert and Parker McCollum banded together to raise more than $8.5 million with their Sunday concert in Austin to help with recovery efforts following the July floods in their home state of Texas.

The two started the nearly three-hour show duetting on George Strait‘s “True.”

“It's going to be a magical night of music, and for an amazing cause,” Miranda said from the stage. “My buddy Parker and I, we called each other right away and we asked, What can we do? We can sing, so let's go sing.' And that's what we're doing tonight!”

Parker continued the story during his set.

“She texted me right away and asked, What can we do?' I said, I'll do anything I could ever possibly do to help these people.' … I've never been more proud to be born and raised in the great state of Texas than I am tonight,” he added.

Surprise guest Jason Aldean was one of the few non-Texans on the bill, but it turns out he played an integral part.

“Jason was here last night, as you already know, but he left all of his stuff for us to use, and stayed an extra day to sing a song for us, so you're an honorary Texan tonight, friend,” Miranda declared.

Jason duetted with Miranda on “Amarillo Sky” and performed “She’s Country,” as well.

If you missed it, you can check out the livestream of the sold-out show on YouTube. If you’d like to help with the cause, you can still order Band Together Texas T-shirts online.

Love Jordan Davis ‘All the More’? Cracker Barrel hopes you do

Just days after the Aug. 15 release of his new album, Learn the Hard Way, Jordan Davis is now the face – and voice – of Cracker Barrel.

The homespun Southern food restaurant is launching its new “All the More” campaign, which CEO Julie Felss Masino says “highlights how people feel about Cracker Barrel.”

“It is bigger than just a meal. We have a retail shop, you’re gonna get great country hospitality with our scratch-made food in our restaurants, and that’s really what the campaign celebrates,” she explains.

Expect to see and hear the “Bar None” hitmaker in Cracker Barrel ads soon.

“He is in our ad and is the voice of it as well,” Masino says. “It just highlights those things that make Cracker Barrel, Cracker Barrel.”

Previously, Dolly Parton starred in its “Rewards That Rock” campaign.

The new push comes as the restaurant and country store debuts redesigned interiors with more modern touches, which have been met with mixed reviews.
