Drew Baldridge has ‘a great message for boys and girls to hear’

Drew Baldridge drops his new track, “Deserve Her,” on Friday.

“When I wrote this song, I knew it would be such a great message for boys and girls to hear,” he says. “It talks about knowing a woman's worth and that you can't just ‘want her,’ but you gotta ‘deserve her.'”

“The second verse might be one of my favorite verses I've ever written,” he adds. “The words are so powerful, and it's a message I look forward to sharing with my fans.”

“Deserve Her” follows “Get Me Gone,” his duet with Emily Ann Roberts, which they performed for the first time live at Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre in July.

This weekend, the man behind “Tough People” and “She’s Somebody’s Daughter” plays two dates with Bailey Zimmerman, before heading to Australia with Jelly Roll and Shaboozey at the end of October.

‘Long Live Country Music’ is RaeLynn’s ‘love letter’

RaeLynn shouts out Dolly Parton, George Jones and Johnny Cash in her new track, “Long Live Country Music,” namechecking Toby Keith‘s “Shoulda Been a Cowboy” as well.

“This song is basically my love letter to country music,” she says. “I'm so passionate about this new sound and what it represents for me… Every reference, every lyric, it's all straight from my heart and full of truth.”

Early on, the season 2 contestant from The Voice scored her only top-10 hit with 2014’s “God Made Girls.” “Long Live Country Music” follows May’s “Heaven Is a Honkytonk,” both part of her return to her original label, Big Machine.

Keith Urban’s got a ‘Straight Line’ from Australia to Nashville for a rising star

Keith Urban‘s currently taking his High and Alive World Tour Down Under, and while he’s without a doubt the most well-known country star from Australia, he’s working to make sure he won’t be the last.

The “Straight Line” hitmaker is partnering with the Tamworth Country Music Festival to roll out the Keith Urban Rising Star Scholarship.

The winner will come to Nashville to perform, write and meet with music industry insiders, while also getting two days to record at Keith’s studio, The Sound.

“Sometimes all a musician needs is an opportunity to be heard or someone to help nurture their talent,” the superstar says. “Having the opportunity to do that not only inspires me, but I'm also hoping that in some way this scholarship will serve to inspire others.”

Tamworth is Australia’s largest and longest-running country music festival.

The application for the Keith Urban Rising Star Scholarship will be available online starting January 2026.

European Leaders to join Ukrainian Pres. Zelenskyy for talks at White House with Pres. Trump

European and NATO officials announced Sunday that they will accompany Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to Washington for high-level discussions with President Trump, signaling strong backing for Ukraine after Trump’s recent one-on-one summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Numerous European leaders confirmed they would stand alongside Zelenskyy when he meets with Trump at the White House on Monday. The coordinated move appears aimed at preventing a repeat of the tense Oval Office meeting in February, when Trump harshly criticized Zelenskyy during their talks.

The joint appearance underscores Europe’s commitment to Ukraine and reflects worries that Kyiv could be pressured into accepting a peace plan Trump has expressed interest in brokering with Moscow. European leaders want to ensure they have a seat at the table as these discussions unfold. It remains uncertain whether all of the European leaders will sit in on Trump’s meeting with Zelenskyy or whether some will participate only in side discussions.

Zelenskyy addressed the ongoing talks in a post to Telegram, saying: “We see that Russia rejects numerous demands for a ceasefire and still has not determined when it will stop the killings. This complicates the situation. If they have no will to implement a simple order to stop the strikes, it may take a lot of effort for Russia to develop the will to implement much more, namely peaceful life with neighbors for decades. But we all work together for peace and security. Stopping the killings is a key element of ending the war.”

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced on X that she will attend the talks at Zelenskyy’s request. NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte is also confirmed to join, according to his office.  In addition, French President Emmanuel Macron’s office said he will travel to Washington “alongside President Zelenskyy,” though it did not confirm his direct involvement in the White House meeting. Similarly, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz will be part of the European delegation, but his office did not clarify if he will join the talks with Trump.

Appearing on Face the Nation Sunday, Sen. Marco Rubio pushed back on the idea that European officials were primarily coming to Washington to shield Zelenskyy from unfavorable terms: “These meetings have been in the works for weeks. They’re not coming here suddenly because of what happened before. They were invited by the president, and they’re here because it was planned.” Rubio added that while the Trump-Putin summit last week didn’t yield a breakthrough, there was enough progress to justify moving forward. “We’re not on the verge of a peace agreement, but there was movement — enough to warrant further discussions with Zelenskyy and our European partners, and enough for us to devote more time to this process.”

Gunmen at large in mass shooting at Brooklyn nightclub that kills 3, injures 9

Multiple gunmen remain at large after three people were killed and another nine were hospitalized with injuries in an overnight shooting at a nightclub in Brooklyn, New York.

New York Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch said at a news conference that calls came in at 3:27 a.m. reporting a shooting at the Taste of the City Lounge on Franklin Avenue in the Crown Heights neighborhood, and officers were on the scene in minutes. Tisch told reporters: “What we know preliminarily is that there was a dispute inside the crowded club that led to the shooting. We believe that there were up to four shooters involved in this incident. It’s a terrible thing that happened this morning, and we’re going to investigate to determine what went down.”

Three men, ages 19, 27 and 35, died from gunshot wounds, with those injured ranging in age from 19 to 61 and transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.  Police said they recovered 42 shell casings from the scene, from 9 mm and .45-caliber guns. A firearm was recovered in the vicinity, but it is not yet clear if it was used in the incident.

There were up to four shooters involved, though no arrests were made as of midday Sunday. No suspects are in custody, and city officials urged the public to come forward with any information related to the shooting, which is believed to have been gang-related.

NYC Mayor Eric Adams expressed concern that there could be retaliatory attacks following the shooting, and called on the public to come forward with information about the shooting: “Gun violence of this magnitude, it really scars a community and a city. If you were inside the club, if you heard individuals talking about shooting, if you witnessed something fleeting the location, every piece of information would allow us to put the puzzle together to solve this crime.”

Taste of the City Lounge said on social media that they were “devastated” by the shooting and was keeping the injured and the families of the deceased in its prayers:  “The safety and well-being of our guests and community has always been our top priority. We are working closely with law enforcement and will continue to fully cooperate as the investigation moves forward.”

For Jordan Davis, New Orleans is best ‘Bar None,’ but Charleston’s a close second

At first glance, it’s hard to tell what’s happening on the front of Jordan Davis‘ third album, Learn the Hard Way

The “Bar None” hitmaker sits in a lawn chair, wearing sunglasses, between what seem to be two boats. But Jordan reveals the shoot was meticulously thought out.

“The album cover is all shot outside of Charleston,” he says. “I’ve always loved that look. You know, we did a lot of Louisiana stuff for Home State, my first record. And I would always just go back home and shoot stuff in New Orleans.”

“But if you’re not gonna shoot it in New Orleans,” he continues, “a very close second as far as just that vibe in a place that I love is Charleston, South Carolina. So you get the moss, you got the water.”

There’s also a nod to Jordan’s teen years on his jacket.

“My nickname in high school was ‘Stick’ because I was super tall and skinny. So you got the ‘Stick’ on the name patch,” he points out.

After a Saturday night spot on the Opry, Jordan will travel to London for two shows.

Learn the Hard Way is out now, as “Bar None” just became his 10th top 10 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart.

Cody Jinks releases video for the single ‘The Others’

Cody Jinks just dropped the single “The Others,” taken off his new album In My Blood, released last month.

A description of the song reads: “The Others” is a gritty, heartfelt rocker that perfectly captures Jinks’ signature blend of raw honesty and soulful songwriting. The song follows the journey of a man who’s always on the move—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—but through it all, remains grounded by his desire to write music that truly matters. It’s an anthem for anyone who’s ever felt like an outsider.”

Jinks also released the official music video for ‘The Others,’ directed by Tim Cofield and filmed in Chattanooga, TN. In the video, Jinks and his band perform in a dive bar full of misfits and drifters, showing how music can bring people together.

Jinks is currently out on his headlining Hippies and Cowboys Tour, with fall dates on the horizon – including the Same Kind of Crazy acoustic tour with Ward Davis kicking off this November.

‘Golden’ from Netflix’s ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ hits No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100

KPop Demon Hunters‘ breakout hit “Golden” has topped the Billboard Hot 100 this week, the latest success for the movie and soundtrack since its release on Netflix in June. The animated feature has shot to the No. 4 spot on Netflix’s most popular English-language films list with 158.8 million views, according to data released by the streaming service.

“Golden,” performed by the Netflix film’s fictional protagonist group Huntrix, is topping the chart seven weeks after it first debuted at No. 81 at the beginning of July. “Golden” took the top spot with 31.7 million streams, 7,000 sales and 8.4 million radio airplay impressions, per Billboard.

“Golden” is the biggest song from the ‘Demon Hunters’ soundtrack so far — Saja Boys track “Your Idol” came in at No. 8.  Last week, the Demon Hunters soundtrack holds six of the top 10 songs on Spotify’s U.S. 50 chart, and four of the top five. “Your Idol” and “Soda Pop” took the No. 2 and No. 4 slots there, while “How It’s Done,” “What It Sounds Like” and “Takedown” took fifth, eighth and 10th, respectively.

Elsewhere on the Billboard 100, Chappell Roan debuted at No. 3 last week with her latest single, “The Subway,” her second Top 5 debut following “The Giver” back in March.  Morgan Wallen and Tate McRae’s “What I Want” and Justin Bieber’s “Daisies” rounded out the top five.
