Dustin Lynch and MC4D team up in the video for ‘Home to You’

Dustin Lynch has teamed up with MC4D on the new song, “Home To You,” co-writen by Lynch, Matt & Chris Drake (of MC4D), Brandon Davis, and Trent Tomlinson.

Lynch shared: “I’m fired up to finally drop ‘Home To You’ with MC4D. We’ve been testing it out in the club sets day and night, and it’s been electric — jumping into this new lane has awakened a whole new part of my soul. Getting to create and collaborate in new ways this far into my career has been some of the most fun and fulfilling music-making I’ve ever done. Can’t wait for y’all to feel this one when it hits.”

MC4D added: “We’ve looked up to Dustin and his music for so long, and being able to do a song with him has been an incredible experience. He’s pioneering such a unique lane when it comes to his country-EDM project, and we’re so grateful for the energy and excitement that he’s brought to this song. ‘Home To You’ feels like the perfect mix of Dustin’s hit country sound and our melodic EDM project, and stylistically, we feel it really stands apart in the developing country crossover landscape. It reminds us of the timeless country/Americana collaborations of Avicii and Kygo, and we can’t wait to see the song connect with dance and country fans alike.”

Lynch has previously collaborated with MC4D and other DJs for ‘Club Set Remixes’ – an EP featuring EDM reworks of a few of his fan-favorite tracks including “Small Town Boy,” “Seein’ Red,” “Thinking ’Bout You,” “Stars Like Confetti,” and his latest single, “Easy To Love.”

Miley Cyrus confirms engagement to longtime boyfriend Maxx Morando

After news broke earlier in the week that Miley Cyrus was engaged to longtime boyfriend Maxx Morando, the singer has confirmed the happy news.

Cyrus, 33, said during an interview on Good Morning America: “My life has been perfectly aligned with the release of Avatar, my personal life — those two things kind of, I guess you could say marrying each other and harmonizing with one another.”

Cyrus recently released the song “Dream as One” for the new film ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash,’ which she co-wrote and co-produced with Andrew Wyatt and Mark Ronson. Engagement rumors began to swirl after the couple arrived at the film’s premiere and posed for photos together on the red carpet, where Cyrus could be seen wearing a glittery ring on THAT finger.

Morando, 27, proposed during the couple’s recent trip to Asia, according to Cyrus. She said: “I actually had never gone to Japan, which, I did that purposefully. I wanted one place in the world that could be my special place that I saved for me. I am not easy to surprise because I love to control every situation, and I had completely surrendered. And I’m telling you, I was so, so surprised.”

The singer also told People in an interview: “The detail that I can share is that for us, our privacy and us kind of keeping it small has been something that I’ve been astounded that I’ve actually been able to have and being able to kind of have more choice. I think it’s also being older, being more protective of what I’m open to sharing.”

Cyrus added that Morando “did good” with her engagement ring, a 14-carat cushion-cut diamond set on a chunky, 14-karat yellow gold band designed by Jacquie Achie.

Bailey Zimmerman, Ella Langley on ‘Forbes’ 30 Under 30 Musicians list

Bailey Zimmerman and Ella Langley aren’t even 30 yet, but they’ve certainly accomplished a lot. That’s why both of them have made Forbes’ annual 30 Under 30 list in the musicians category. According to the publication, they’re just some of the young artists who are determining “what the future sounds like.”

Bailey, 25, has “already proven that he’s more than just a flash in the pan by notching two back-to-back No. 1 hits on country radio,” Forbes writes. The publication also notes his award nominations, his strong TikTok game, his 14 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and his “playful and refreshingly unpolished presence.”

Forbes says Ella, 26, has “emerged as a major force in contemporary country music,” thanks to her multiple award nominations and wins. She’s also scored a string of hit singles, including her two Riley Green duets, “you look like you love me” and “Don’t Mind If I Do,” plus “weren’t for the wind” and “Choosin’ Texas.”

Other under-30s on the list include Jessie Murph, pop star Alex Warren and Audrey Nuna, one of the singing voices behind the KPop Demon Hunters group HUNTR/X.

Jimmy Buffet’s ashes smuggled into 2024 Rock Hall induction, says Kenny Chesney

Jimmy Buffett was posthumously inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2024 in the Musical Excellence category, and even though he passed away in 2023, it turns out he was still able to attend the ceremony.

Kenny Chesney and James Taylor performed in honor of Buffett at the induction. In a recent interview with Howard Stern, Chesney revealed that he and guitarist Mac McAnally, a member of Buffett's Coral Reefer Band, snuck some of the “Margaritaville” legend's ashes into the ceremony.

“We were sitting back there warming up, trying to figure out our parts and stuff, and Mac comes up to me and he goes, Look at this,' and it was a small urn. He had Jimmy’s ashes in his coat pocket,” Chesney said. “So Jimmy's ashes were in Mac McAnally's coat pocket onstage with us as he was getting inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.”

Turns out, it was Buffett's daughter Savannah Buffett who gave McAnally the ashes.

“So even after he passed, Jimmy found a way to join the party,” Chesney added.

Buffett passed away Sept. 1, 2023, after battling a rare and aggressive form of skin cancer.

Texas twosome: Lainey Wilson and Ella Langley top ‘Billboard’ country charts in rare occurrence

Lainey Wilson and Ella Langley are tops on the Billboard country charts, both with songs inspired by the Lone Star State.

Ella’s song “Choosin’ Texas” is #1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, while Lainey’s “Somewhere Over Laredo” is #1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart. This is only the sixth time since those charts have existed side by side that the #1 spots have been held down by solo female artists.

The charts, one of which combines radio airplay with sales and streaming, and one of which focuses solely on radio airplay, came into being in 2012. The first two women to top them were Carrie Underwood with “Blown Away” on Airplay and Taylor Swift with “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” on Country Songs that year.

In 2016, Kelsea Ballerini was tops on both charts. In 2020, it was Gabby Barrett and Maren Morris, and then Gabby and Miranda Lambert. In 2021, it was Gabby on both charts.

This is Ella’s first #1 on Hot Country Songs; it’s Lainey’s fifth #1 on Country Airplay.
