The Weeknd delays his 2022 World Tour to next summer

The Weeknd is pushing back the start of his 2022 world tour to next summer and moving the events from arenas to stadiums. In a statement, the Weeknd said, “Due to constraints of arenas and the demand for more shows I want to do something bigger and special for you which requires stadiums. Ticket holders will be refunded automatically, and they’ll also get priority to buy tickets for the new shows when they’re announced. Dates will be announced soon.”

Earlier this month, The Weeknd confirmed that his new album is nearly “complete” and is only missing one key component that will make it totally finished, sharing in an interview: “Only thing missing is a couple characters that are key to the narrative. Some people that are near and dear to me, some people that inspired my life as a child, and some that inspire me now. More to come in the following months.”

In August, the singer released his latest single “Take My Breath,” which was co-written and co-produced by Max Martin.

Coldplay announce 2022 “Music of the Spheres’ World Tour

Coldplay is set to embark on a 2022 world tour in support of their album, ‘Music Of The Spheres,’ due out October 15. ‘The Music Of The Spheres World Tour’ kicks off on March 18 in Costa Rica, with support from H.E.R. for most of the tour.

Coldplay will make stops in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic before heading through Mexico including Monterrey and Guadalajara to close out March and culminating in a concert in Mexico City on April 2. Coldplay’s US. leg includes the Bay Area, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Texas and Chicago in May, then heading to Eastern U.S. in June with dates in Washington D.C., the New York City area, Philadelphia, Atlanta and Tampa. The band will head to Europe in July and August, including two-night stands in Frankfurt, Berlin, Paris and Brussels. The European leg will culminate with a three-night run in London ahead of a concert in Glasgow, Scotland, although Coldplay has teased more shows to be announced.

On Coldplay’s website, the band detailed “a comprehensive set of sustainability initiatives and environmental commitments, including one tree planted for every ticket sold and a show powered by 100% renewable energy.”  The band added: “Playing live and finding connection with people is ultimately why we exist as a band. We’ve been planning this tour for years, and we’re super excited to play songs from across our whole time together. At the same time, we’re very conscious that the planet is facing a climate crisis. So we’ve spent the last two years consulting with environmental experts to make this tour as sustainable as possible, and, just as importantly, to harness the tour’s potential to push things forward. We won’t get everything right, but we’re committed to doing everything we can and sharing what we learn. It’s a work in progress and we’re really grateful for the help we’ve had so far. If you’d like to come to a show and sing with us, we’re so excited to see you.”

Adele reveals release date for her album ’30’ coming this November

Adele has announced that her long-awaited, fourth studio album — titled ’30’ — will be released on November 19th. Adele’s previous albums were titled 19, 21 and 25 after significant years of her life. Her most recent album, 25, was released in November 2015.

The 33-year-old singer shared the news and new details about the album in an Instagram post on Wednesday, calling the project her “ride or die.”  She wrote:  “I was certainly nowhere near where I’d hoped to be when I first started it nearly 3 years ago. Quite the opposite actually. I rely on routine and consistency to feel safe, I always have. And yet there I was knowingly — willingly even, throwing myself into a maze of absolute mess and inner turmoil!  I’ve learned a lot of blistering home truths about myself along the way. I’ve shed many layers but also wrapped myself in new ones. Discovered genuinely useful and wholesome mentalities to lead with, and I feel like I’ve finally found my feeling again. I’d go as far as to say that I’ve never felt more peaceful in my life.”

Adele also revealed she will release the first single from ’30’, titled “Easy on Me,” on Oct. 15.
