Take A Look At The New Trailer for Beyoncé’s Visual Album And Film ‘Black Is King’

Disney and Parkwood Entertainment have released a new trailer for Beyoncé’s Black Is King, an upcoming visual album and film that was inspired by The Lion King.

Black Is King is scheduled to drop on Disney+ on Friday, July 31, and Beyoncé wrote, directed, produced, and is starring in the project.

“Black Is King is a labor of love,” Beyoncé wrote on IG late last month when she shared the teaser trailer. “It is my passion project that I have been filming, researching and editing day and night for the past year. I’ve given it my all and now it’s yours. It was originally filmed as a companion piece to The Lion King: The Gift soundtrack and meant to celebrate the breadth and beauty of Black ancestry. I could never have imagined that a year later, all the hard work that went into this production would serve a greater purpose.”

Lanco celebrates good, grounding love in their summery new single, “Save Me”

Sony MusicLanco’s newest release, “Save Me,” may have all the feel-good vibes of a summertime anthem, but its lyrics are about the kind of love that’s in style all year long.

“I’ve been lost, but I found you / You could be the someone to / Pull me close tonight / Make me believe that you could save me…” the band sings in the song’s euphoric chorus.

That “someone” could be a dive bar hookup or a vacation fling, but for the band mates, this song is an homage to the wives that keep them grounded, no matter where their career takes them. The group say they started writing the song in Los Angeles, and kept coming back to it.

Brandon [Lancaster], Chandler [Baldwin] and I were sitting on an L.A. patio one day reminiscing about how trouble can sometimes follow us, but we’re lucky to have our spouses to keep us in check,” the band’s Tripp Howell explains, according to Billboard. “We took the song back to Nashville and focused on how that right person can be the [yin] to your yang.”

“Save Me” follows Lanco’s current single, “What I See.”

“Be the Moon”: Brett Young, Cassadee Pope lend their voices to Chris Tomlin's new message of faith

Sparrow Records/Capitol RecordsBrett Young and Cassadee Pope are the country co-stars on the latest release from Christian superstar Chris Tomlin, joining him for the faith-filled new tune, “Be the Moon.” The tracks come off of Chris’ forthcoming duets project, Chris Tomlin & Friends, which sees him teaming with a number of country A-listers.

In addition to its guest vocalists, “Be the Moon” has yet another country connection: Chris wrote with Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard and in-demand Nashville producer and songwriter Corey Crowder.

“What I have said to each artist that is on this project is that the idea behind ‘Be the Moon’ is the heart of this record,” notes Chris. “The moon is not striving to be anything; it just puts itself in the right place and reflects the light of the sun. It’s the same for us, we have no light of our own but reflect a greater light, the light of God. This is the essence of Christianity.”

Both Brett and Cassadee say they jumped at the chance to join the genre-bending collaboration.

“I’ve been such a huge fan of Chris Tomlin for so long! I grew up leading worship and that’s how I found music,” notes Brett. “To be asked to be a part of this project was such an honor, and this song is so special and hits very close to home for me.”

“As soon as I heard Chris’ story behind the album concept, I was drawn to it,” Cassadee adds. “Getting to harmonize with both [him] and Brett on this song was really special!”

Chris Tomlin & Friends is due out July 31. Chris previously shared the single “Who You Are to Me,” which is a duet with Lady A.

Cassadee Pope continues 'Rise and Shine' rollout with two more new tracks

Awake RecordsAs Cassadee Pope continues to ready the August 7 release of her upcoming acoustic project, Rise and Shine, the singer has dropped two more of the eight-track issue’s tunes.

The new songs, “Counting on the Weather” and “Hoodie,” reflect on different aspects of a relationship: One centers around a love in the present, the other looks back at the past. The two tunes follow the previous pair of tracks that Cassadee shared off the album, “Let Me Go” and “Built This House.”

The singer says that she hopes fans will relate to “Hoodie”’s story of reaching out to an old flame, even if it might be against better judgment.

“The lyrics talk about something that I think most of us have been guilty of — contacting someone from our past that we miss, while using a random excuse for doing so,” Cassadee notes. “We think that we are being subtle with the reason we came up with, but it’s usually painfully obvious. I’ve definitely been the sender and recipient, if I’m being honest.”

Cassadee co-wrote and co-produced all eight of the tracks on Rise and Shine, which she describes as her most personal project to date.

She previously found a chart-topping hit in her 2015 duet with Chris Young, “Think of You.”

Luke Combs delivers whimsical “Lovin' on You,” gains a new accolade on The Tonight Show

ABC/Image Group LASuperstar Luke Combs got a little more than he bargained for this week during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. While the singer was there in order to perform his new single, “Lovin’ on You,” host Jimmy Fallon broke the news that Luke’s chart-topping second album, What You See Is What You Get, is officially RIAA certified platinum.

It’s the latest in a string of accolades for Combs’ project, which is once again at the top of Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart this week. Luke is also the first-ever country artist to place their first two studio albums atop that chart for over 25 weeks.

After Jimmy officially shared the news about Luke’s newest milestone, the singer delivered a creative rendition of “Lovin’ on You.” Rolling Stone reports that he performed the song from an empty roller rink at the Brentwood Skate Center outside Nashville.

“Lovin’ on You” follows Luke’s latest chart-topper, “Does to Me,” which is a duet with Eric Church. All eight of Luke’s singles to date have ascended to the top spot at country radio.

“Faithful”: Tucker Beathard previews his just-announced album, 'King,' with fan-favorite ballad

Warner Music NashvilleThis week, Tucker Beathard officially set a release date for the second half of his debut double album, which began with 2018’s Nobody’s Everything. Part two of that project, a 13-track issue titled King, will drop on August 21.

In between the two bodies of work, Tucker has weathered painful personal tragedy. Late last year, his younger brother, Clayton, was murdered in a stabbing incident outside a Nashville bar. Tucker’s new album takes its title from Clayton’s middle name.

“For me, music has always been a way to escape,” the singer notes. “There’s a lot of things people are dealing with internally that they don’t have the words for right now, and I’ve learned that if I write from the heart, if I sing from that experience, I can be that voice.”

In coping with his own grief and hardship, he goes on to say, he has discovered new ways to relate to fans during what has been a tumultuous year on a global level.

“Some people can’t pinpoint what they’re feeling, but they can hear a song and be like, ‘Damn, that’s it,’ and I hope I can help them get there with this record,” he adds. “These songs mean a lot to me and I feel really ready to share them with the world.”

The same day he announced King’s release, Tucker shared the studio version of “Faithful,” a song that fans have been clamoring for since he began performing it on acoustic guitar over social media.

Here’s the full track list of King:

“Better Than Me”
“You Would Think”
“One Upper”
“20/10 TN”
“Paper Town”
“You On”
“Miss You Now”
“Only”
“Find Me Here”
“Too Drunk”
“Faithful”
“Can’t Stay Here”
“I Ain’t Without You”
