Lauren Alaina announces new album “Sitting Pretty On Top of the World”

Lauren Alaina announced the release date for her third full-length studio album, Sitting Pretty on Top of the World, on Sept. 3. The new 12-song collection follows her previous EPs Getting Good and Getting Over Him. Alaina offered fans their first taste of new project by releasing the album’s lead song “It Was Me.” Alaina co-wrote 14 of the album’s 15 tracks, including her current single “Getting Over Him,” which features Jon Pardi.

Alaina said of the album: “It’s about a dreamer becoming an achiever. It’s being broken and ending up healed. It’s all of me. The early chapters. The new beginnings. The hope for the future and total appreciation for the past. Taking the Road Less Traveled and ending up Sitting Pretty On Top Of The World.”

BTS’ ‘Butter’ hits the top spot for ninth week to become the longest-running No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100 this year

BTS’ hit single “Butter” has climbed back into the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for a 9th week, making it the longest-running No. 1 song of the year. The band wrote on Twitter, “We’re making history together, #BTSARMY ! HOT 100 brimming with BTS music for 10 straight weeks.”

BTS’ “Permission To Dance” also remains in the top 10 this week, taking the No. 9 spot. Lil Nas X and Jack Harlow’s Kanye West-produced single “Industry Baby” debuted at No. 2, making it Nas’ fourth top-10 hit and Harlow’s second. As for West, it’s his 22nd top-10 song as a producer. “Industry Baby” is one of two songs from Lil Nas X in the top 10 — “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” is currently ranked at No. 8.

Ariana Grande to headline new Fortnite concert series

Ariana Grande is the latest artist set to host a concert in the online multiplayer game Fortnite. Grande will headline “The Rift Tour,” a virtual “musical experience” within the game.

Grande is just one of many top artists to hold a musical event within Fortnite. Travis Scott famously headlined a Fortnite event, debuting his Kid Cudi collaboration “The Scotts.” Dominic Fike and J Balvin have also previously performed and debuted songs in the game.

Grande’s last album Positions was released at the end of last year. You can watch a teaser trailer for The Rift Tour event, which takes place from August 6-8, at the link- here.

“I couldn't wait to ask her to marry me”: Parker McCollum reflects on proposal to fiancée

Parker McCollum is reflecting on the significance of proposing to his fiancée, Hallie Ray Light

The “Pretty Heart” singer recalls how he knew Hallie Ray was “the one” when he made his Grand Ole Opry debut in February. The couple was broken up at the time, and knew the experience would have been more meaningful had she been there.

“We were still broken up and we were trying to work things out. But I walked off stage that night and I was like, ‘I don’t ever want to do anything like this again without her here,” Parker shares with People 

The Texas native popped the question just before the July 4th holiday at a dinner event with both of their families and friends.

“I couldn’t wait to ask her to marry me. There was no backup plan and no hesitation. I didn’t overthink one thing. I was like, ‘It can’t get any better than her,'” Parker explains“There was no doubt in my mind that I was making the right decision. She saved my life, in a way. I don’t think I was headed down the right road.”

Parker penned a song for his fiancée, “Hallie Ray Light,” that’s featured on his 2020 EP, Hollywood Gold. He released his major label debut album, Gold Chain Cowboy, on Friday that includes current single, “To Be Loved by You.”

Keith Urban to play ACM Party for a Cause

Keith Urban is ready to “Party for a Cause.”

The country superstar has joined the lineup for the upcoming ACM Party for a Cause event. Keith is one of the many acts who will take the stage at Ascend Amphitheater in Nashville on August 24 in benefit of ACM Lifting Lives. 

“I can’t wait to play live and I’ll see you there,” Keith shares in a video announcing his performance, adding in the caption, “I am soooo looking forward to it!” 

Sam Hunt, Old Dominion, Mickey Guyton, Lee Brice, Brett Eldredge, Trisha Yearwood and Tenille Townes are also slated to appear at the event. 

Party for a Cause precedes the 14th annual ACM Honors that will be hosted on August 25 at the Ryman Auditorium. Honorees include Luke Combs, Dan + Shay, Lady A, Rascal Flatts, Loretta Lynn and more.

Ingrid Andress drops “sad bop” “Wishful Drinking” with Sam Hunt

Ingrid Andress and Sam Hunt are “Wishful Drinking” in their new collaboration. 

The pop-leaning song finds Ingrid taking lead on the first verse, longing for a lost love over a glass of something strong. Sam takes on the second verse, echoing Ingrid’s sentiment of “when I’m a couple in I get optimistic/Like me and you are realistic.” 

The “Wishful Drinking” video was released in conjunction with the track. Filmed at the Flamingo Cocktail Club in Nashville, the 70s-inspired clip finds the two singing alone at opposite ends of the venue before uniting on stage. 

“The sad bop you've wanted all summer is finally outttt! @SamHuntMusic you make everything sound better tbh thank u for being my first collab ever on a song,” Ingrid declareda on Instagram. “‘Wishful Drinking’ out now for all you sad/happy hunnies out there.”

“I heard Ingrid's music a while back and knew right away she was a very talented singer and songwriter. When the opportunity came along to be a part of this song with her I was all in,” Sam wrote on Twitter.

Ingrid will launch her headlining The Feeling Things Tour in the fall. She’ll also serve as an opening act on Dan + Shay‘s The (Arena) Tour, beginning in September.

Reba McEntire, Brooks & Dunn unveil final 'Together in Vegas' show dates

Reba McEntire and Brooks & Dunn are set for a final bow in Las Vegas.

The legendary country acts are teaming up for a final run of their REBA, BROOKS & DUNN: Together in Vegas residency in December. The trio will close out the year with a string of nine shows from December 1-15 at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, performing more than 30 of their hit songs.

The shows take place on December 1, 3, 4, 7, 8, 10, 11, 14 and 15. Tickets go on sale to the public on August 6 at 1 p.m. ET. 

“I can't wait to be back in Vegas with my buddies @BrooksAndDunn for our final shows at the @ColosseumatCP Dec 1-15!” Reba shares on Twitter. “Don't miss your last chance to see us #TogetherInVegas!”

Launched in 2015, Together in Vegas has since become the longest-running country residency in Las Vegas.

“Famous Friends”: Chris Young sets 2021 tour dates

Chris Young is bringing his “Famous Friends” on tour. 

This fall, the chart-topping singer will set out on the Famous Friends Tour that covers 13 cities from October through December. The trek kicks off October 21 in Little Rock, Arkansas and runs through December 5 where it wraps at Mohegan Sun Arena.

Along the way, Chris and friends will make multiple stops in Texas and perform another arena show in Iowa at Xtream Arena. Mitchell Tenpenny and newcomer Callista Clark join as opening acts.  

“Everybody's been asking me when's the tour announce — well now you have your answer and I couldn't be more excited about it. I'm pumped to be able to share some of this new music on tour!” Chris shares in a statement. 

The Famous Friends tour is named after Chris’ current #1 single, featuring Kane Brown

News of the tour comes just days before the Tennessee native drops his long-awaited album, Famous Friends, on Friday. The 14-track album also features collaborations with Mitchell and Lauren Alaina. It’s his first studio album since Losing Sleep was released in 2017.

“Welcome to the 'Youngs'”: Brett Young announces arrival of second daughter

Brett Young is a proud father, as he and wife Taylor announce the arrival of their second child. 

Over the weekend, Brett took to Instagram to reveal that his second daughter, Rowan Marie Young, was born on July 21. She joins the couple’s one-year-old daughter, Presley.The “Mercy” singer shared the news alongside a photo of the sleeping newborn wrapped in a big pink bow.

“I thought my heart was maxed out. I usually don't like to be wrong.. I was wrong. And I can't wait to thank you properly for the opportunity to be your daddy. I already love you so much and I can't wait to watch you and your sister become best friends,” Brett writes in the caption.

The singer also praises his wife and eldest daughter, encouraging the new baby to follow their example as she grows up.  

“The women in your life are super heroes and you're the luckiest lady alive. Presley has been begging for you. Be prepared for me to mess everything up and your mom and sister to always be there to fix it,” he continues. “I love you. Welcome to the Youngs' -Daddy.” 

Brett and Taylor welcomed Presley in October 2019. His most recent #1 hit, “Lady,” is inspired by them. Brett’s set to release a children’s book, Love You, Little Lady on August 24.
